(OOC: Well, we got ourselves into a pickle. If Rieta knew that she came through a portal voluntarily, then she wouldn't have to find out why she is here. The question remained why she actually wanted to come here.

If she did not come through the portal voluntarily and somehow lost her memory of it, then she would act as cautiously as she does and would probably not be drugged by Moira. Hell, if I wake up somewhere and don't know how I got there I will certainly not go drinking in a pub right away. And why hasn't anyone in the tavern seen the portal? I think we need to resolve this somehow or at least get a consensus before we proceed.)

(Rieta was pushed by an ex-teammate into the portal and was unconscious when she arrived to this world and someone brought her to the inn to recuperate)

(Ok. Sounds good. What about the story with Moira putting stuff into her drink to knock her out? John or the tavern maiden should've seen the person who brought Moira in, so they probably would've identified and/or described that person to her.)

(Alright, then. Here's what Rieta knows: I was on a mission as a negotiator when a portal opened. I was pushed in by one of my former team mates and I'm not sure whether it was on purpose or plain clumsiness. I awoke at a table in a tavern. I didn't recognise anything and ordered a glass of water right away. After the jump my throat was very dry. After drinking I wanted to investigate and ask the bartender, but passed out before I could. When I woke up again, I met the current party. I heard that a woman named Moira spiked my drink. I heard that an unusually low number of customers visited the tavern on the day I arrived. Jhon told me nothing about how I arrived.)

"Why should we do that? It's spooky and don't tell me there is a banquet in there with lots of wizards who can tell us what happened to the dragons. If it looks dangerous, it usually is. I don't think the odds are in our favor on this one. Let's get back to the cart and move on."

"I just have a gut feeling about it, perhaps because I'm decided from dragons. Something about this cottage just feels wrong."

Lupieros assures you "Lets go in. I can keep you safe as I can destroy a lot of enemies. If we go in we could save the forest. And you will get a reward or two"*wink, wink* Do you go in? (Lupieros is a 20th level druid so he can wild shape a lot to destroy stuff)

"If you got a gut feeling, I will trust you.", I say to Ripguard. Then I look back and am surprised: "Wait a bit, where did Will go?"

Lupieros looks around. "Hmmm. He must have disappeared somewhere. Shall we go in?" he says

Ripguard moves towards the door, and opens it to see what is inside. Perception check 18

(No need for perception) You see not much but have a gut feeling that something is inside and that you should go in.

"Hello. Is someone home? Just some travelers in need of a short rest.", I inquire politely.

As you enter the cottage you seem to be in a... mansion? How can a cottage be a mansion you wonder. What do you want to do? Ripguard has a gut feeling that you need to go to the hallway to save the dragons.
