"I could possibly sneak in and see what the threat is, but if it took out our soldier and the bard, I'd rather not. Eglig, you'd be worst off in this situation, you'd better stay out here with the maidens. Nemmonis, do you have anything that could help us?"
(It really do be like that sometimes. My friend once, also named Jordan, coincidentally, rolled 3 nat 1's in a row, all within the space of about 3 minutes.)
Nemmonis, you try your best to be quiet, but as you walk you kick some rocks around, and the sound echoes around down both tunnels. The entire cave goes quiet, listening as you freeze in your tracks. Slowly, a bearded man in black leather armor creeps out from the right tunnel, a dagger in hand. He looks around but can't see you, and silently goes back down the tunnel.
I return to the group, still invisible and tell them of the man from the right tunnel and the many voices that stopped upon kicking a rock. "The others are obviously down one of the tunnels, but there are clearly more people in there, I'm invisible for a up to an hour so I can lead as to check for people, but, where did they go and which way should we go, don't want to get trapped in there."
"We could split up. I could take one of the tunnels, you take the other. If one of us doesn't find them, we go to the other. I can't think of a better way, unless you can?"
"Well, I'll head in first, I'll try stay a bit ahead, and give you a signal when you need to help. Also the person at the back must keep an eye out for the man from the right path they might follow after seeing you."
"No offense, Eglig, but with how big you are, along with not being able to see in the dark, you'd probably only inhibit us. You would be best suited to stay with the maidens."
"What? No, you find a place out here to hide with them, and protect them if you need to. Nico can turn into an owl, so that won't arouse any suspicion, Nemmonis is invisible, and I know how to hide. The maidens don't have any of this, and neither do you. Besides, the more people go in, the easier it will be for one of us to alert the others inside the cave we're here."

I cast invisibility on myself and move towards the mouth of the cave to see what's inside
There's nothing at the mouth of the cave, but now on both sides you hear voices, some raspy and deep, others softer and smoother.
I move into the mouth of the cave, trying to make as little noise as possible
Roll stealth for me please.

I walk forward and transform back into myself. "I saw that they turned down the left hand tunnel before they disappeared"
"Then we go to the left, find them, and get out."
"Sounds like a plan, unless anyone else have a better idea?"
"No, I am happy with the idea. But i still think one of us should stay with the maidens"
"The danger is mostly in there, if we split even more it could lead to our deaths much faster"
"Well, I'll head in first, I'll try stay a bit ahead, and give you a signal when you need to help. Also the person at the back must keep an eye out for the man from the right path they might follow after seeing you."

"I shall stay outside then with the maidens"
(Was about to slap that man)
