[DM, What is the time of day after Nanoc's entering the cave? I don't know how much time was spent with the long rest.]
In any case, Nanoc would argue that the party should head on to the mine site so as to make sure it is reaches it well before nightfall.
It would have been the following morning. The party can reach the mine with a day’s travel unless they detour to search the Harpy nest. It is unclear whether the four from the other night were the entire group.
After the magical cloak has been recovered Okkar says, “Might as well get this out of the way. It seems the locksmith decided this was too much risk for her and fled back to civilization. The original deal was for the six of you to split any loot you find any the mines. My ‘reward’ will be laying claim to the mine to resume excavation and get my family line back into the good graces of the clan. The original deal can stand, now with a five way split. Or you all can work out something else. It makes no difference to me. I’m just interested in reclaiming the mine.”
(( My vote would be going to the nest, if we can find a safe approach: (1) there may be more, which would be a risk for the horses; (2) there may be young (leaving them to starve would be cruel -- better to kill them); (3) loots. ))
When it comes up, Okkar adds, “My vote is to press on to the mines but I agree we should vote. Getting rid of the harpies is also of benefit to the clan, and the region. It’s true that having them prey on our horses while we are in the mines would be terrible. I guess I’m talking myself out of my own voting decision here, but, I’ll stand by it. Maybe there are no harpies left and we climb up there for nothing. What do the rest of you say?”
"Getting to the mine is all well and good, but if we don't take care of the harpies, they'll want revenge, and our horses or the dwarves back at town could suffer. I say we route out the monsters now," say Evan. He will provide the HELP action and Guidance (+1d4) on the Survival check.
(If that was for Galtheon, the Guidance dice gives: 4 )

Glancing at Nanoc then back to Okkar, he says "I'd say a 5 way split; we each bring our own skills, and...that lass seemed flighty to me. She made a wise choice, and we may all be better for it."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Adding guidance to Galtheon Survival (if passive not enough): 1 <- Gives 17
Galtheon nods to the priest, the flicker of a smile quickly masked, "And it would be a mercy to kill any young."
Looking down the path, he adds "The mine ain't going anywhere. Patience and preparation usually pays off. And if there's nothing there, we've got peace of mind and maybe more trinkets."
Before he casts his vote, Nanoc turns to Okkar and asks, "Are there any good places to camp between here and the mine? Good water, a fortifiable position. If not, I say we should try to make it to the mine today. Even if it is in bad condition, it should at least be a fortifiable position. Harpies might not be the only things haunting these peaks."

“The path to the mine is a short distance of open ground, not a terribly steep hill, but the only way we found to get there was a climb up a steeper cliff side that our horses couldn’t make,” Okkar says.
“Hell, none of us were trained outdoorsmen like you all, warriors and miners more like. It’s possible there’s another path that wouldn’t requiring leaving the horses at the cliff bottom, but I doubt it. We could get there by nightfall, whether we want to enter by night is another matter of course. I would say the cliff side was actually a pretty good bit of natural cover, we felt safe enough leaving our horses and mules behind. Unless someone was tracking us and knew what to look for, or had a birds eye view, like a harpy,” Okkar grudgingly admits.
Galtheon smiles at Okkar, "You've convinced me. Having second thoughts?"
“Bah, I guess I can read the tunes on the wall, as they say,” Okkar answers. “If the majority of you have your mind set we can take care of the harpy nest first. It will be a harder climb than the one we are expecting at the mine, and it’ll cost a day, but we’re the last chance at recovering the mine. Let’s get it right.” Okkar changes his vote.
"So," says Nanoc, scratching his head (and loosening some of the dirt I assume he hasn't had the chance to wash off yet). "You're the boss, but I'd like to know where we're going to camp tonight? Back here next to the owlbear cave? What vote to the others have about that?"

“Perhaps we should see to the harpies first and then decide from there,” Okkar answers.
Galtheon nods, "You are both right; we can camp here again, if needs, and we may find better on our way. We should ookout for likely sites -- and other ways to the mine."
(( If a cloak will stack with the ring, Galtheon would definitely put in a bid for it... ))
Galtheon rubs over the 4 or 5 wounds he took last night, "Feeling a little in need of added protection myself" he says.
(( When they were scouting yesterday, did they spot anything that might be a viable way up to the nest ? ))
Both the cloak and ring stack, one provides an AC bonus only, the other +1 to both AC and Saving Throws, but both require attunement, bear in mind.
In daylight a survival check can reveal the path to the Harpy nest, DC 15 to locate the path, and Help is allowed to give advantage.
(( Passive survival for Galtheon is 15; roll needed? Just in case (adv): 15 ))
As Galtheon rubs his bruises, he'd definitely draw straws for the ring.
(( When I picked my magic item, both cloak and ring did AC and Saving Throws; no big deal, he mainly needs AC ))

I may have misremembered on the item properties. If they both grant saves that is fine, just note the attunement.
