Evan:
it had taken him several days to get his "land legs" back, and that lightning rail transport did not help at all. By the time Evan left the transport, everyone else had already gone ahead. "This had better be worth the effort," he thinks to himself, "Why the dwarf wants a sailor like me to delve into the depths of an old mine is beyond me, but his coin is good, and I suppose I could use a change of scenery." As he enters the Dwarven shanty town, Evan is less than sure of his choice to join this crew, but it was obviously too late to turn back now. He heads towards the saloon, keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary or perhaps threatening.
Perception: 21
(Any of these dwarves out here look different or suspicious, like perhaps someone trying to appear like a dwarf?)

Evan, on approaching the trading post you see the signs of desolation and poverty, a region that seems to have given up. This stands in stark contrast to the Krona Peak station, where the wealth and affluence of the dwarves was on full display. The domain of House Dronanath is clearly not sharing in the wealth of the rest of the clans of the Mror Holds. You see several horses and mules tied up outside, and an elderly dwarven woman entering the tavern on foot, not coming from the direction of the animals. Though it seems a bit odd for an elderly dwarf woman to travel to this obscure location alone and without conveyance, due to Kerina's masterful performance and use of magical aid, you perceive her as only another dwarf. Inside you see a group of dwarven men and one pregnant dwarven woman talking amongst themselves, sitting on crates of traveling and mining supplies. A dwarf with an eye patch and visible signs of a recent head wound, part of his hair shaved away and a section of his head bearing dirty bandages, points with a thick thumb towards the curtain labeled "Saloon" in common. "Okkar's people all gathered in there. I think you're the last of 'em. He should be by shortly."
the intent was to leave outside, turn into the dwarf, and then 'arrive' at the tavern
So yes, she did leave the structure
Kerina, you see a human in plate armor enter the trading post give you a look. The dwarves within gesture the human towards the Saloon area. They notice you enter (OOC: assuming you do so openly), and a dwarven man with a false leg from the knee down says, in common, "Ey grannie, what brings you to this sad shack for broken old miners?" He looks to the others. "This somebody's ma?"
Can I convince the Dwarven barkeep to remove the offensive carving?
OOC: In the Saloon room with no observers - the dwarves were eavesdropping, but not spying visually as far as you could tell - you likely could have done so yourself. If you want to persuade the barkeep to do it for you, go ahead and role play the dialogue. If you would prefer to do so yourself, with this knowledge, we can ret con the use of the hat of disguise. Let me know your preference.
Dwarven woman: "No. Just wandering. Ever since Yorick died..." She 'composes' herself and walks toward the bar, 'scrutinizing' the tables. As she reaches the table with the carving: "Oooh! What is that horrible drawing! How offensive!" Then looks to the barkeep: "could you please have that removed?"

For Evan, you see the elderly dwarf woman go past the curtain, while some of the other dwarves stand as if to stop her but do not do so in time - the old dwarf woman moves surprisingly quickly based on her apparent age - and she complains of graffiti on a table. The other PCs in the Saloon see the "old dwarf woman" step through the curtain and hear her utter her complaint. The dwarf with the prosthetic arm says, "Grannie, stop, that room's rented out today, Okkar paid for privacy for a meet with some foreigners." She has already entered the curtain and cite the graffiti, it seems, by the time he says this.
A steel-eyed warrior in loose but durable-looking travelling clothes in dark blues and grays strides confidently into the saloon. With a knobbed metal club hooked to his belt and a shield emblazoned with a black dragon on his back, the human man with close-cropped black hair and tanned weathered skin moves over to the table, glimpses of his fine heavy armor decorated with shimmering waves of the sea showing from under his long cloak and loose clothing. The figure speaks, saying, "This is where we meet Ironeyes, eh? The name's Evan. Mind if I have a seat and take a swig of that rotgut?"

The bartender, holding one hand on her stomach still, places her pipe on a crate and walks over, placing a hand on your shoulder, Kerina. "Like Staug said, grannie, this place is rented out. No drinkin' here today. You're right, this is just nasty. I'll scrape it off right away, that OK? You need some help getting back home? What are you doing way out here, anyway? Don't you got somewhere closer to drink? I don't recognize you from 'round here."
Evan, your passive Insight tells you the dwarves believe this elderly dwarven woman stricken with dementia, and are concerned for her well being, as they believe she has wandered here from elsewhere, and may be lost.

Galtheon, Ilecerys, Nanoc, and Taraven, see this human, Evan, enter the Saloon and request a drink of the whiskey. The elf woman, Kerina, is still absent after excusing herself earlier. The bartender gets a chisel from one of the crates of mining supplies, goes to the table Kerina had formerly been sitting at, and begins scraping off a carving depicting a sex act, seemingly to placate the older dwarven woman who briefly popped in to the Saloon before being pulled back by the bartender. "There, all better now, that filth is all gone, granny," she says in calming tones, after finishing.
"ooh no, It's alright, I got a round trip on the lightning rail, I'll be alright." Gesturing to the group: "sorry for interrupting your meeting" And I try to walk in the direction of the lightning rail, then find a place to transform back.

Kerina, although the dwarven staff still seem somewhat concerned about allowing an elderly woman with dementia, as they believe you to be, to wander off on her own, their indifference overrides their concern, and they allow you to leave, where you can remove your disguise unobserved and return as Kerina the elf.

Evan:
With an eyebrow raised at the elderly dwarven woman, Evan shrugs and decides the dwarves can take care of their own. "Greetings, Ilecerys, I've had some pretty rough stuff on some long and lonely sea journeys--I'll take my chances." He sits down and takes a careful sip nonetheless, appraising the other adventurers around the table.
Kerina, when you "return" as yourself, you get the stink-eye again, and one man stands to his feet, groaning a bit. "If you used the outhouse, I've got to go clean it, elf."
OOC: The PCs are now all assembled in the Saloon area. I will allow a bit more time for interaction before introducing the client and moving the game forward.

OOC: For clarity, she did not leave the structure as a whole, going past the dwarf workers and bartender in the adjoining “room,” correct?
the intent was to leave outside, turn into the dwarf, and then 'arrive' at the tavern
So yes, she did leave the structure
