OOC: Evan can’t case guidance without losing Bless right now because they are both concentration spells. I imagine they can see/detect through the dirt/stone, otherwise they wouldn’t know where to come up out of it to attack us, but Evan is not confident that counts for the Turn Undead ability (creature has to see or hear the source of the holy prayer). Someone already rolled for Evan’s AOO, and the Stoneghost missed him (11 versus ac 21), so we are good there.
Evan will stay with the Spiritual Weapon (cast as a bonus action), then use his action to ready the Turn Undead ability for when the enemy emerges ( but before they take their attack) in the hopes of at least temporarily evening the odds against them. He says, “I’ll try and hold them off” and uses what movement he can to back up slightly with the rest of the party in formation as long as that doesn’t provoke an AOO.

Taraven will point her finger at the stone ghost that just hit her and yell, “Take this!” She uses her reaction to cast Hellish Rebuke
SG3 must make a Dexterity save of 13
Fail Fire Damage 21 And if it makes the save damage is cut in half
OOC: is my reaction also my attack of opportunity since I used hellish rebuke?
Spells can only be used as Attack of Opportunity with the Warcaster feat, and then only touch spells. You could either simply cast the spell on the visible enemy on your actual turn, or ready to cast the spell (which would use the next turn reaction) to cast the spell on a different Stoneghost when it emerges.
I will keep your damage roll if you like and roll the SG4’s Dex Save as it was a valid target.
Hellish Rebuke is a racial trait as part of my infernal legacy not a warcaster feat. Not sure if that makes a difference. And it says it is a reaction from taking damage. So I wouldn’t be able to do that because I haven’t had an actual turn? Sorry learning how this works.
Ah, that is a different matter if the trigger is “taking damage,” apologies, I wasn’t familiar with it. Yes, given that it would take the fire damage, halved from resistance for 10 to SG3.
(( ooc: this is the "Hey Ford, I've just had a really hoopy idea" moment ...
- We are reasonably near the door - SG4 appeared behind Evan, so is likely to be very near the door - Galtheon has 35' movement - Galtheon has it grappled...
))
Galtheon screams, "Out of the way...let me through the door".
He drags the ghost out of the mine.
(( Hopefully as he does so, people get in their attacks...and get out the way
My thinking: Okkar said they can't leave...
- Forcing one out may destroy it (or lift the curse on it) - Best outcome - If it's not destroyed, we can fight it, unaffected by the others (but Galtheon will need help restraining it) - Pretty useful - It may just disappear and reappear next round - Very annoying, but we did damage to it and we learned something - He may not be able to drag it out - OK, because now it's throughly surrounded, with Galtheon, Evan, Ilecerys and probably Nanoc next to it
All but option 3 is good, I think. I hope there is no option 5...
@DM: Galtheon's favoured enemy is undead...is there a roll he could take that might dissuade him from this course? He has Advantage on tracking and INT checks for info about undead ))
As your character has favored enemy undead I will allow a Religion check with Advantage to try to infer the results of this.
Ugh...but wait...there's more...the horror continues...boring rules stuff to follow....ignore if you don't care, but I'm pretty sure Galtheon's grapple failed as well!
Option (a) ... it worked and on we go (the undead is dragged out)
Option (b) ... as per one of my links, Grapple is NOT and Attack Roll (it's a melee Attack, but a special attack that is resolved as a contest). So the grapple attempt does not benefit from bless...which means the grapple attempt was only a 15...which means that it was contested successfully (they rolled a 15). There is (perhaps) a small chance that Evan might be persuadable that casting Guidance to -- possibly -- save the soul of this Dwarf is worth delaying his Turn attempt -- but it depends on Evan listening to what Galtheon was saying and thinking it was worth supporting...since guidance will affect grapple...but that is a *very* long bow.
I'm happy enough if he fails, and we try next time...or if Evan doesn't cast Guidance, perhaps he sees and hears what Galtheon is doing and tries to grapple instead -- there is a soul to save, after all!
In any case, we may be back to Galtheon screaming, "I'll grapple the bugger and see if he likes the outside."...and failing the attempt.
(( What he actually screams depends on what he might conclude about the nature of the restrictions on these undead ))
As we were previously unclear on mechanics - I’ve now read up a bit more - to confirm Grab is indeed a contested roll and a special form of attack, it does not allow for the Bonus Action attack from two weapon fighting but it can be used repeatedly or along with an attack routine via extra attack. Given that you now know bless would not apply, I will allow you to just entirely re-do the turn - either a new fresh opposes grab check or two new melee attacks, since now we “know.”
Ilecerys quickly strikes to prevent the nearest ghost from slinking away.
+1 Club Attack: 10 Damage: 6
Flurry of Blows 1: 20 Damage: 5
Flurry of Blows 2: 25 Damage: 10
DC 12 Dex save for Flurry of Blows hits to avoid being knocked prone
The first hit is unfortunately a miss, but the unarmed attacks do hit and deal damage that is resisted, 2 and 5 after resistance for another 7 damage to SG4.
Dex Save: 8
It fails, and goes prone, which will cause it to grant advantage to melee attacks and also will use 1/2 of its movement on its turn.
(( At least his bonus isnnot negative, like grapple! ))
Although he cannot discern the "why" of it fully, based on experience with Undead and the description provided by Okkar, along with current observations, it would appear these creates are somehow linked to the stone of the mine, which is tainted, either from a curse, or a central source. They cannot leave the mines, this you believe to be true. They can be killed, but attempting to force them out of the mines will not kill them. Nor will they be able to follow you. You suspect "pushing one" out of the mine would result in it simply melding into the ground at the threshold, and remaining inside.

(( I believe Ilecerys also has an attack-of-opportunity on the one that sank. SG4 is the only one still around after they did their guerilla attack ))(( Attack dice not showing...maybe edit and save? ))

I neglected to add Bless. I doubt it matters for the fist attacks, but for the club: 2

(( Thank you! The prone status decides it for me: two attacks. ))
Attack 1: 14 Damage: 12 (Slash)
Attack 2: 23 Damage: 9 (Puncture)
If either connect, then extra Damage: 7 (Slash)
If Galtheon is out of position, he will circle around SG4 to continue blocking access to the people in the doorway.
Evan:
If the creature is prone, the Spiritual Weapon should be attacking with advantage, so here is the second roll since the first one probably missed.
Spiritual Weapon: Attack: 18 Damage: 6 With. Bless: 3

There are both hits - is either of them with a Magic Weapon?
If the 9 was the better of the to-hit rolls, the Spirital Weapon misses. AC target is 12, you all now know from swinging at them a bit.
(( Galtheon has no magic weapons. ))
SG4 takes 9 after applying Resistance.
OOC: Is that all of the PC turns, as of now? Taraven did a reaction before her turn, she may still have her actual turn's action to go?
If the AC is 12 then it would be a hit for 6 with a magic weapon
Did you get two attacks from Nanoc? And did Okkar fire his crossbow?
