"Excuse me!" Jasun said, stepping towards them. "Ah. Yes. Hello. Hi. Normally, I wouldn't interfere with how this village operates, but I couldn't help but notice that you're treating this man rather roughly. Perhaps I might be of some assistance, I pray? What has this man done?"

 "He couldn't pay the tax." One of them says. "Now mind your own business."

Rose's brows furrowed at the injustice she was witnessing, anger welling up inside the pit of her stomach. "No. We won't." Teddy follows behind the firbolg as she approaches the 'guards' now, snarling at them. "You guys are nothing but thugs! Leave this poor man alone before we make you leave him alone!"

Jasun had a look of pleasant surprise on his face with Rose and the otter. Wow, where did that come from? Either way, he turned back to the "guards", and tried something new:

"Not quite yet. My good man, did you by chance happen to pay OUR tax, I wonder?" he asked pleasantly.

The guards are taken aback at Rose's intimidation. It's very clear that they are not used to people standing up for themselves. They're also perplexed at Jasun's question. "What the **** are you talkeeng about?"

"You know." he says, "The tax YOU pay so we don't kick YOUR ass."

"That's enough out of you, outsider." The guards turn away from the fisherman and towards you all, weapons drawn.

As usual the Goliath would stand at the back of the pack, and observe those better equipped for social interactions. Her track record has been all over the board. Jirel was better at keeping her mouth shut and letting her grunts to do all the work, leaving the interpretation to them. She preferred when her body did all the talking anyway. And when Rose bit back after the Silvetongue’s attempt, her body did just that. The barbarian’s eyebrow would raise in surprise when Rose would bite back. Feisty. A grin would grow across her cheek, revealing her fanged teeth. Jirel felt as though she was witnessing a contrasting wild side of Rose, sure of her beliefs and ready to defend them. Hearing the firbolg’s snarl sparked excitement in the barbarian. And when Jasun jumped in with barks of his own at her side, she’d be even more motivated, biting her lip to muffle the growls bubbling up in her throat. Her heart would flutter.

Game on.

"Are you having trouble breathing?" Jasun asks Sera with a smirk on his face, so you can tell his question is less serious than intended. "You certainly sigh a lot."

Jirel will try her best to bite back a cackle as the battle kicks off with flare. Adrenaline coursing through her veins and goosebumps peppering her skin, the barbarian will kick off with a snarl to match Rose’s, taking her turn to engage with the guards.

After the team obliteration of G1, out of the corner of her eye, the barbarian will witness G4 attack Sera. Jirel will use the momentum from her last attack to lash out in her defence.

The goliath could appreciate the effort behind Guard 5s attack, she really could. With the blood of her clan raging through her veins, her skin was thick and tough. "Just a scratch." The blonde would grunt, standing up tall to loom over him with a toothy smirk.

Despite the hit Jirel takes seemingly not doing as much damage as it could have done, it still adds fuel to the fire within the firbolg. “You should have just ran!” She’ll shout, casting off a set of pink Magic Missiles at G5!

Second level: 17
