Al clears his throat: "Hrmm...  my son Enrico, and his family... They had moved south, tried to make it in the old country. When the drow overran the villages and cities along the coast, his village was overrun too, and he and his family were carted off to provide labour for the spider queen. They were there for three months, before a squad of mercenaries wielding weapons like yours broke through the defences of the camp and fought a fighting retreat, trying to get as many of the prisoners out as possible. My son... he didn't make it. But his wife and my granddaughter managed to escape, and arrived in Arkos. Where it not for these mercenaries, I would have lost all of my family to the drow." He wipes a tear from his eye.

"They've only been here about a month, most of them are further to the south, with the Crusader."

Poinki, you manage to make your way out of the Citadel, but you have to leave your weapons behind, as there are four acolytes near the gate houses and the arsenal as you pass. Only three streets away from the large building, you bump into Paren and Elhanna, trying their best to look inconspicuous, while interrogating the spy. Si'juul is no longer here.

"Got 'em!" Poinki says triumphantly, holding up the basket.

”Well done Ponky, you had me a little scared the for a while.” She takes a robe and put it on. “How do I look?” 

After trying the robe on she finally ask “so whats the plan? I mean, I don’t think we can just go in there and talk with the arch bishop right?” She looks to Paren, then the spy and finally Ponky. 

Insight on Alfredo's story: 11

Si'Juul is looking into Alfredo's eyes but also looking past him off into space in deep thought.

It takes quite a few moments for Si'Juul to respond.

"Did any of these mercenaries from the south that helped your family make it up here to Arkos? Or did they hold their positions down south to buy time for your people?"

Paren pulls on a robe as well, asking silent forgiveness for the slight. "Probably not the Archbishop but we may be able to get a sense of who is actually concerned for the faith and who is just doing it to increase their power."

"And maybe hear plans, and what is going on behind the scenes," says Poinki. "Any evidence of demon worship, or Si'Juuls gun club."

“And what do we do with Kevin? What stops him from calling for help when we’re inside?”

(About what time is it approximately?)

Si'juul, as far as you can tell, Alfredo is telling you the truth.

"I'm not sure if any of them made it here, ANgela only told me the story about Enrico, but I'm not sure what happened to the Brand that saved them. I also don't know what their plans were, and I don't claim that they did all that out of the goodness of their hearts. Nonetheless, I'm thankful for how things turned out. In a bad world, bad men can do good things."

As you cast a glance outside, you see the sun slowly starting to set.

WIth enough coats for all of you including Si'Juul, and with dusk fast approaching, what is your plan? In particular, what do you want to do with "Kevin"?

"This place got a back entrance? Another exit? A high window? One that I can fit into?"

Si'Juul keeps his eyes on the dusky skies as he asks.

"I live upstairs, there's an attic window there. If you're worried about your friends, I'm sure I can find a spot for them to." With that, Alfredo turns back to his watch.

"Might take you up on that."

Leaving the watch he had been working on where it was on the table, Si'Juul exits Alfredo's workshop and immediately takes flight, going about 100ft in the air.

He makes his way towards the neighborhood of the citadel, keeping an eye out for both his friends and Brand members.

Perception: 13

Si'juul, as the darkness descends on Arkos and the streets begin being lit by torches and lanterns, you can't make out your friends in the streets below. Most likely, they retired to your tavern for the night. As far as the Brand goes, you don't spot any of their members either, but concern to be made out by them keeps you flying low, more like hopping from rooftop to rooftop under the aid of your wings. 

Si'Juul will then use the rooftops to make his way back to the tavern, stepping inside and glancing around for them.

Perception: 9

(It was nice while it lasted)

“I say we head back to the in for tonight and bring Kevin with us. Hopefully Si’Juul will come back and we can make a new attempt tomorrow to find out what is going on in town.”

Poinki nods and says, "Rest is good. New ideas for plan in morning."

“I’m sorry you lost your gear Ponki, we’ll try to get it back in the morning or we’ll reimburse you for it. It means we will buy you new gear.” Elhanna tell him in an education tone.

You get back, and find Si'Juul already waiting for you inside your room, the window now latched shut behind him. Your prisoner has been convinced to come along quietly for the moment, though the innkeeper does raise an eyebrow as you hustle past her and quickly up the steps.

"Figured you'd all come here eventually. So how did it go at the citadel?"

Si'Juul visibly looking unnerved after the window gets shut, even if understanding the need for it to be. He sits backwards in a chair due to his wings, resting somewhat.

"Got priest robes. For you, too," says Poinki, holding up a set of robes for Si'Juul. "Can get inside, maybe not noticed. What do there is question now."
