Tales from Talaveroth

The bolt zips over the Father's shoulder as he nimbly ducks out of the way, surprisingly fast for a man of his age. 

Down below the remaining acolyte gives a yell and charges Si'Juul, swinging with his club.

Attack: 21 Damage: 1

He gives you a good crack on the side of the head but the man's arms are weak and it doesn't really do much to you.

(Si'Juul is up)

Si'Juul just stares down the foolish acolyte as he holsters his pepperbox. 

He stands there just a moment before letting out an avian screech into his face and slashing at him with his talons.

Damage:6

The man hits the dirt, rolling and writhing in pain but probably not a threat to anyone anymore. 

(Poinki's turn, there are no acolytes left)

Does Poinki hear the fight going on upstairs? Perception: 11 

If so, he will charge up the stairs to come to the aid of Twitch and Elhanna: Attack: 12 Damage: 11

If not, he will tie up the acolytes.

At this point in their journey Poinki knows the sound of his friends voices and knows when they're in need of help. He rushes up the stairs and leaps into action, delivering a good slash across Father Ephesian's arm. 

In response the Father disappears in a cloud of mist and reappears on the other side of the Lighthouse light, blocked from Poinki's view but in sight of Twitch and Elhanna. 

He raises a hand and yells another prayer. This time the winds swirl and cascade across the top of the tower.

(Everyone, except Si'Juul, make a Dex save, DC15. If failed you're knocked 10 feet back and are prone. Elhanna, if you fail you are knocked down the open hatch back to the floor below, no damage though as you'll land on an acolyte.)

Twitch's Dex save: 6

"For heavens' sake." She had tried, but there was no other hope, it seemed. Managing to stand up through the gale, Twitch produces her two daggers. She spends a moment trying to decipher the priest's defenses and then hurls the first dagger at the priest, making sure to spin it  a bit more than usual though, so as to strike him with the blunt end in the head.

Insight vs Father Ephesian's Deception: 23
11 and 4 for the first dagger, adding 8 sneak attack damage, if the priest can't deceive her.

Dex save: 19

Poinki resists the wind and launches another attack on the mad cleric. "Sorry, Father, for own good and protection of Ilamter," he shouts.

Attack: 22 Damage: 10

Dex save: 15

Elhanna fall down the hatch and land on an acolyte. The fall knock her breath out and she lay there for a second before claiming back up. Once up she releases an other guiding bolt with non lethal damage. 

Attack: 23 Damage: 14

Si'Juul climbs up top with everyone else and marches towards the Father. He can't help but grin as he sees him using the winds for offense.

"Trying to use the winds against an Aarakocran? That's like trying to drown a shark. You truly are beyond saving."

He attempts to grapple the Father.

(Not sure if it would be strength or athletics but my bonus is the same either way, I think)

Strength: 10

Twitch's dagger flutters through the air but is knocked around by the wind and hits harmlessly. 

Elhanna falls through the hatch and her haste in getting back to the top means that her magic goes wide and streaks off into the sky.

Poinki steps around the Lighthouse and slashes the Father in the back, causing him to cry out in pain.

Contested grapple: 16

The Father is grappled by Si'Juul but once again disappears in a puff of mist, appearing 10 feet behind Twitch. 

He launches a blast of energy back at Poinki. 

Attack: 9 Damage: 7

His telephone means that his aim is off and it disappears into the wind.

(Si'Juul up)

Si'Juul hangs his head and sighs.

He draws his pepperbox and turns around to fire.

Attack: (Well it was bound to happen. Got my first misfire.)

He exclaims his displeasure loudly in a language none of you understand.

He moves to brace up against the pole holding up the light beacon.

Si'Juul unfortunately finds a bit of powder that must have gotten wet at some point during their sea journey. The gun misfires.

(Poinki's turn)

Poinki takes another whack at Father Ephesian.

Attack: 11 Damage: 7

The Father continues to be more nimble than expected and sidesteps the blow.

He says another prayer and Si'Juul, Poinki, and Elhanna feel a magic pulling at their minds, slowing their movements. (All three please make a Charisma saves, DC13. If you fail subtract a d4 from attacks and saves.)

Charisma: 3

(I'm not saved from rolling from being out of sight behind the pillar?)

(Sleep deprivation is getting to me, I missed that. You are, so it's just Poinki and Elhanna then.)

Cariama save: 11

She can feel the effects of what has happened and realize that father Ephesian has case some sort of anti buff.. a bane spell on all her. And from how Ponki reacts he must be affected as well. She say a prayer and counter the attack with a bless spell of her own on everyone she can see. 

Charisma save: 20

Poinki blinks as he feels himself sloooow dooowwwn.....

OOC: Is it Twitch's turn?

Twitch was silently cursing: she only had two daggers, and just threw one of them off the tower... 

Turning rapidly towards the priest, she lunges at him, striking him with the pommel of her dagger, making sure to hit his previously identified weak spots.

7 for 4 plus 3 bludgeoning damage.

(It was, yes)

The priest brings his hand up, blocking the strike with his arm, leaving Twitch's hand stinging a bit from where their bones hit each other.
