Investigation: 10
Wanting to get to finding a dress store, finding a dress, trying it on, and purchasing it as quickly as Corily possible, she pointed to a few options as they all strode through town. She dreaded the thought of wearing something elegant, hearing opinions about it, and gleefully giggling like a bunch of teenagers made her wince - so silently she prayed there was something inside that would make her look elegant enough, yet..not look like a prostitute as fast as possible. The thought of wearing something that made her look sexy made her nervous. Not because she didn't want to feel that way, or could, but because the thought of having a shopping day wasn't something she normally did and Cora didn't do smooth and sexy very well. Plain and simple. She was too rough around the edges, and she could literally count on one hand at the amount of people who found her attractive in a physical way, or who actually loved her. Ever. She didn't wear make up.
Deep down, further down, she simply wished someone would just pick something out for her, because she was simply not really good at this. Violent and messy surgery with her blades? Kicking the crap out of people with her bare hands? Hurtful interrogations and beating information out of criminal scumbags?
Lu-lu presses her face to the glass of shops as they pass, looking desperately for something pretty! She hasn’t worn something fancy ever before, and is anxious to wear dresses that weren’t either hand me downs from her sisters or hastily sewn ones her mother did based on what she remembered seeing a noble woman wear once.
she wants something silky and colorful, that barely comes to her knee, that hugs her frame, sleeveless and maybe backless and shows off the patches of opal that shimmer on her warm skin.
Lu-lu comes out of the fitting room of one of the shops in a truly hideous dress, with a big bow on the side in a weird mustard color, and a long train dragging behind.
”Uuhhh I don’t know, how’s this?”

She looked at the dresses. She wanted something feminine, tight fitting, something that maybe came down to her ankles. Something that showed off her curves. Silk. Maybe strapless. Bwuhhhh. **** this, who am I kidding. I don't know what I would look good in. Definitely not what Lu-lu tried on. Uch, mustard colored. She's trying though. Cora kept looking, pretending she knew what she was doing.
"That's... certainly a look,"Vincent says in regards to the dress Lulu had sported on for them. "Maybe... Maybe a different color?"

Lu-lu will laugh, “Yeah, I thought it was really terrible too!” She will rush back to the racks, her lips set in a line of determination.
The next reject dress she rolls out is *ahem* skimpy. A black leather with lace “dress”, barely mid thigh height, with a Plunging neck line and a very tight corset that sculpts Lu-lu’s torso into something that would make a satyr blush. “what about this?!” She says in her best imitation of a husky femme fatale voice as she struts out.
"Better."Cora said, trying to not snort at her femme fatale imitation while tracing your curves with her eyes unashamed. "I mean. Very provacative, if that's what you're aiming for."
You are able to, even with how bad Vincent is at dress shopping, find a really good store offering fine clothing at a steal of a price. 10GP for a set of fine clothes. With your rolls, I'd say there is probably whatever type of dress you are looking for cause those were some sweet rolls.
Heishe smiles faintly as she looks over from where she's examining silver sheath dresses. "Darling, that's for a very particular kind of night on the town, not a lord's dinner. Try something a little longer," she suggests lightly.
While not usually one with an eye for fashion, there were certain things that looked right on certain people. The dress Lulu sported now did fit her well, the sight of her in it causing him to double take, then needing to force himself to clear his throat just to not continue looking like Cora was shamelessly doing. However, to him, the dress wasn't something that screamed Lulu. He also had an odd urge to find something to cover her up with from further leering gazes.
"While I do agree it is better than the other," He says finally, keeping his eyes on something else in the room. "It ain't a dress for you. Somethin' longer like Heishe says? Maybe with more... color?"

Cora found a white business suit type dress that was literally open all the way down in front from the neck to just above the navel. She blinked and realized that perhaps someone had tried it on and simply didn't button it, but no. It was designed like that. She realized that while her midsection was indeed worthy of such revelation, she quickly put back the dress on it's hanger quickly, nearly knocking over other dresses hoping no one saw her looking at it. She dropped another dress and scrambled to pick it back up, returning to her frustrated huffiness in still unable to find something.
This was much easier when Ashley was around, she thought. She knew how to pick a dress. She stood there silently for a moment, looking at the dresses, lost in a distant memory.
“Noted.” Lu-lu salutes, and, after getting someone’s help out of that prison of a dress will scour the shop for something more... elegant taking a mental note of the effect that previous dress had, devilish thoughts mildly crossing her mind, definitely getting that one for another time.
Lu-lu steps out in the third dress she’ll show: a straplesscrushed velvet cocktail dress in an almost iridescent emerald that trumpets out slightly just below the knees, showing off her powerfully built legs. The back is open down just past the shoulder blades and the front has an off-shoulder neckline, both are complemented by the streaks of opal set in her warm toned skin. The bodice is fitted but not crushingly so, accentuating her very feminine curves. She walks out cautiously, her eyes twinkling with multi-colored light,
“What about this?”

Heishe smiles as she finds an off-the-shoulder silver dress with a lace-up back. "Now that is lovely," she says warmly to Lu-lu with a nod. "You are absolutely stunning in that, darling."
Cora flipped through a few more dresses a little more roughly than appropriate until she came across one that was long, blue, and silk. It was very smooth and had a very sexy fashionable artistic opening across the torso with the silk fabric wrapping once around her neck and shoulder, leaving the rest of her shoulder bare, zipping up from the back. She looked at it for a moment. It looked tight. Maybe a little too tight. But, it did cover most of her, except for the frontal opening. She looked at the price tag and her eyes bulged comically, briefly. ****. She looked at the price again, in case her eyes wer- nope. It IS that much. HHhhh. She groaned, maybe a little too loudly.
She looked around for a changing room while everyone else was preoccupied with how amazing Lu-lu looked in her dress. Reluctantly, buckling up for the critique, she slipped inside and tried it on.
Vincent raises his head from a set of suits he had been idly perusing while waiting for Lulu to change dresses. The older gentleman gives her a good look over, then nods his head in approval. "That suits you perfectly, lass."

Lu-lu curtsies slightly with a giggle, “Thank you for the company.”
Lu-lu turns and sees Cora in the silky blue evening gown, and freezes, “wow.” Lu-lu stares for a second before putting two thumbs up, “That is fantastic, Cora! Wow!” Lu-lu rushes over and looks up and down at Cora and the dress from various points and angles, “That’s perfect for you! Except, where are your knives going to go??” Lu-lu smirks at the buff rogue and nudges her teasingly.
