Onyx took a step back before realizing it. "Well," he sniffed while glaring, "I guess that's off the table for you, then. Sorry."
He turned back to the others. "I'm not interested in using this. Especially not for... that. But I'd still like to pay off what I promised to my patron. I can leave it for him inside my vessel after a longer rest. But if everyone else wants to, we could try to destroy it instead." Onyx sighed at the thought of incurring a greater obligation, but then wrinkled his brow in curiosity. Could they even destroy it? Well, they might just find out....
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As the oracle mentions he would have to kill them before they understand Grahls face turns to anger and he kicks the oracle back down. Bah, already lost. Creature cannot win.
He looks back to the others, No destroy, relic belong someone.
Grahl moves closer to the oracle, Where take relic? Grr... creature take power for self he adds to accuse the oracle
Action : Kick to oracle sitting on ground Attack: 23 Damage: 8
Grahl kicks the Oracle hard in the stomach. Something soft displaced deep beneath the skin and the Oracle writhes in pain on the ground for some time before coming to its sense again.
"Am I to be tortured like that Orc until I give you what you want? I find this-"
It motions to the four of you and all of its dead friends.
"-Extremely hypocritical. You have the gem, kill me and be done with it."
It rubs its chin with a sly grin, realizing that it might have the slightest of advantages over you,
"why is this knowledge so important to you anyway? Do you want to be an Oracle and preserve customs for the ages?"
"Bah, this goes round in circles," Arbon scoffs at the oracle then turns to the others. "This creature will give us no more information than the shadow creature in the statue. I still say we destroy the thing, but if you feel so strongly about trying to return whatever it is that has caused so much pain and suffering, then you bear the responsibility Grahl. Kill the oracle or leave it. I need to rest." He looks around the room once again, "And perhaps get some fresh air out of this room. Well, as fresh as one can find in this place." With that, Arbon will trudge over to the door and sit just outside the door.
Onyx grimaced. Fighting the oracles had been one thing. But to just kill her now, like this, when they could just walk away.... "No, she was hacking Urithag to pieces, and was summoning... something. Clearly she's evil," he thought. And she was evil... right?
He waited to see what Chazrael and Grahl were going to do.
(OOC - all good to RP it out man. Arbon would not kill the oracle currently tied up. And while he doesn't fully understand the relic, his wishes to destroy it, but if the others want to hold onto it, he's not going to stop you. He would just hold you to be responsible for whatever comes from keeping it.)
Onyx rolled his eyes. "I'm not just going to hand this back over to you. Nor am I killing you. And I'm certainly not going to stand here and let you kill me.
"So if you won't give Grahl a straight answer, then I guess we might as well be on our way."
The warlock turned to his companion with a shake of the head and an exasperated shrug.
Grahl thinks of the oracles words, the relic did not prevent Urithag from getting defeated and captured while he had it. At best it helped keep him alive while he was being tortured.
No, Grahl did not believe the words of the oracle. He was trying to trick them, keeping the truth from them. He turns his back to the oracle and takes a step forward.
He then holds his axe in front of himself as a walking cane resting both hands and kneels on a single knee and starts to talk to it in orcish at first
Forgive me Gruumsh, i cannot find the rightfull place of this relic. Shame is in his voice. He pauses a moment looking towards the ceiling. Instead i will punish those who prevent this in your name.
For those that speak orcish they will notice Grahl speaks it far better than he does in common. Clearly this language is what he is used to speaking.
He gets back up to his feet, picking his axe from the ground and turns to the oracle. No more lies.he says as he lifts his axe and brings it down on the oracle to give him the death he desires.
Hearing the sounds from the chamber, and knowing full well what those sounds would mean, Arbon bows his head a moment. Not sad or upset, just contemplative. It was clear that the hag was due for death, much like many of the evils they found. However he would much have preferred the hag not killed so helplessly as the two hags had done to Urithag. But what was done, was done, and it needed to be. He looked up at the large gate with the gem. What lay behind this final door, he wondered.
Onyx shook his head. The oracle could have answered.... but then it seemed as if they wanted to just die. Which was sad, but... Onyx didn't exactly feel sympathetic. With a last look toward Urithag's body, he walked over to the door with the gem stone image above it.
"Shall we?" he sighed, his voice flat and a little tired.
As the oracle's head rolls Grahl watches it for a moment with comtempt, clenching his jaws in frustration. His vains still bulging in his forearm as he holds his axe tightly. Cursing the creature for denying Gruumsh's will.
After a moment he calms down again seeing Onyx walk outside of the room to where Arbon is. He takes another look around at the deaths in the room and moves on to see if he can redeem himself on the path that lies ahead.
"Would anyone be opposed to taking a longer rest now that we have that out of the way?" Arbon asks the others. "I am quite spent, and worry I won't be much use to anyone should we get in a scrap again. My divine energy for casting spells is pretty well drained and I am quite tired."
In the gate room, each of you walked in to find the crystal atop the gate glowing with the same warm orange light. The stone floor and walls, once ominous, have been brought to a state of relative calm. The group is right to rest here now, the danger having passed.
Full Rest
You awake to the same scene. Everything that has passed, remained still. No bodies had moved, nor had any items been shifted noticeably.
During the rest, once or twice the Gem in Onyx's possession thrummed audibly like a drum much larger, and deeper, than its form, yet nothing came of it.
The other mysterious noise that had echoed throughout the halls now too seemed distant. its semi-frequent earth shaking roar suddenly curiously timid.
Those who test the gate now find it pushes as if lighter than air, floating back towards the ceiling and closing equally graceful back into its set position.
A hallway only leading one direction on the other side remained, a large wooden door with a golden border at the end. Its simple design not masking its masterful creation. The wood appeared so smooth and natural, as if chopped and finished days before. The gold border looked as if it had never been struck with a hammer, perhaps poured into a perfectly measure mold to fit only this door. The handle, when gazed upon, reflected as if it had never been held.
When you grip the untouched marvel, you have a sense that to open this door, is to face the end.
Arbon admires the craftsmanship of the door and it's gold trimmings. "This is some impressive work. Though, I find it a strange place to find such beautiful work," he says to no one in particular. After a little while, he turns back to the others, "So my friends. It's been quite the journey here. Do any of you wish to look more into those rooms back there? I cannot think of anything I wish to look at, but then I may have forgotten something too." He scratches his chin absent-mindedly as he considers if perhaps there is something that slipped his mind.

Chazrael stretches his arms. "I think some rest and fresh air would do us good."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Losing his patience on the oracle he scoffs Like Grahl say, Grahl return relic to where it was stolen from.
Grahl not ask again. he says
(sorry i see the others are done with this conversation, not sure if anything is gonna happen for Grahl but have to rp his attempts. ).

"Part of the process is death young one, do you not understand this?"
The oracle looks to Onyx,
"I must kill you while you hold it for you to understand-"
A pause, its face grows...optimistic?
"-Actually, you could give it to me, and kill me. That should explain it."
Onyx rolled his eyes. "I'm not just going to hand this back over to you. Nor am I killing you. And I'm certainly not going to stand here and let you kill me.

(not sure if i need to roll for this)
Grahl decapitates the kneeling old hag with little effort. Its head rolls to the floor with a stretched out smirk and painfully closed eyes.
Hearing the sounds from the chamber, and knowing full well what those sounds would mean, Arbon bows his head a moment. Not sad or upset, just contemplative.
