Massively interested in joining such a game as this. Don't think I can DM but you'd be hard pressed to find a keener player! This is 100% my type of game!
The idea is to translate this into an enjoyable PbP game for many people will not be a simple one, but I feel it's a case of doing a lot of reading up on play styles and advice to keep everyone feeling as if they're involved.
Add me to the list as a player; still working through the videos and docs, but I like the concept.

Tharn Redeye - Half-orc Fighter - Heroes of Wildemount Kellen Belladar- Human Cleric - Troubles in the Wildwood: Blackthorn Brin Rainblade - Human Barbarian - The Great Orca Dungeon
Well hey, if we want to follow some of Matt's advice from the vid (see page 1), we could kind of recreate the Microscope game he talks about through beyond as well, I think.
If you are taking suggestions, we might try something along the lines of a few (or however many) players rolling d20's and letting those rolls help determine and delineate specific moments in history, or certain legends about which we would all be aware at the start of the story.
Subgroups might even be helpful to split the timeline into different ages - for instance, group 1 (say, of three players), determine the really Ancient history of the world. Roll a d20 - on an even roll, describe some notable event of that timeperiod. On an odd roll, describe a remarkable person or figure whose legacy endures, albeit in some reduced form, into the modern day.
