The shopkeep waves to his store. "Find something you like and bring it to the counter." He says with a friendly smile. "We are currently out of raspberries though. The halfling outside took a fancy to them."
(You can just purchase what you need and remove the gold from your sheet, normal PHB prices. If it is something not there, then you won't find it in this shop, unless it is produce or something like that.)
You spend the next few hours around town. You would be able to learn, if you ask around, the below...
The people of town are worried about a group calling themselves Redbrands, who seem to be staying mostly in an inn you had not entered yet, and that is off the main street to the Southeast.
There are orc spotted to the West of town, between this town and Conyberry further West.
Conyberry is just ruins, no one lives there.
Supply shipments have not been reaching town from the East, but some adventurers were sent today to try to figure out why not.
We are going to move you guys along to where the other group returns to town.
(Before the above, sorry for not posting this first...)
The guard shrugs. "I aint seen no one today." He says with a frown. "My partner just headed out for lunch, so she might have spoken to someone, I'll ask her if you want to stop back in in an hour or so." He considers it a moment. "She did say that some strangers came in, and one of them said she had been robbed by old Pete downstairs. They left though and headed out with a group of adventurers looking into the shipment issue." He nods to the door. "They would have left town to the East, but that was a good couple hours ago now I think."
"Enjoy your day, then," Vilana nodded again and went to the shop with Sylcan.
Vilana-Sylcan
"We are not really in the robes market, but I see your point." Vilana did not insist on selling the robes here - sometimes a couple of gold coins do make a difference. She dived into the goods, trying to find the best fitting gear.
Out of the shop emerged now properly dressed travellers - ready to walk and fight if needs to be.
Vilana personally felt much better in pants, belted tunic and long hooded cloak of soothing black colour without that ridiculous excessive embroidery that wizards are so fond of.
"So," she heard what the shop owner discussed with other customers, "seems like we got lucky not to be jumped by the orcs on the way here. And if right now some adventurers are cleaning the road to Neverwinter, it might be the best time to go there. Shall we?"
Kierro, Navara, Latrious, and Honor return to town around 3 P.M. with 4 hobgoblin prisoners in tow. they take them to the town hall. During this process Sylcan would see Latrious and recognize him from his memory.
Let's say Sylcan and Vilana are back at the inn by this point and spot them across the road due to the noise of the group and prisoners.
Tessa and Milene would notice this as well, from whatever you were doing that afternoon.
To Walter, Mylene earlier would have said, “Well it seems there are others who were afflicted as I was, victims of some sort of mental attack that stripped away memories alongside likely also having their clothes and belongings stripped away. Unlike myself, these others apparently ran around doing who knows what instead of systemically trying to get to the root of the issue, and coordinating with the others.”
She shares the descriptions the elf priestess provided of Kierro and Latrious, and notes they will keep a lookout for these individuals in the event that they should return to town. She passes some time engaging in a bit of target shooting, “Still got it,” and allowing Walter to demonstrate his skill set to have a better (in-character) understanding of her henchman’s capabilities. She works out some basic signals with him, “If I say ‘what absolute arrrogance’ take that as a signal to strike from concealment, ‘I will leave you to your secrets’ means shadow the target and report back with their position,” etc. (OOC: No need to memorize specific commands, I would note in such a scenario “Mylene signals Walter to follow the person,” etc.)
On seeing a group return to town quite noticeably, two of them matching the descriptions given of Latrious and Kierro, she approaches the group, giving Walter a simple instruction to “Stay by my side. These people may have useful information for me, but if they are aligned with my enemies we may have to take up arms. Be ready for my signal.”
She approaches the group at the town hall, the picture of confidence and poise despite being garbed in a man’s ill fitting clothes, and says, “I believe two of you have spoken to this town’s priestess of the luck goddess earlier? Afflicted with some sort of memory ailment? Perhaps found yourself in a strange place without a stitch of clothing or clear memories of how that came to be? If so I think we had best have words, somewhere less public.”
"...This memory affliction seems to be more and more common with each person I meet," Naivara says, "so you too then?"
Mylene turns her attention to the half-elf woman, Naivara, and glances at her up and down as if appraising her. "So you as well, then? I received the description of two others in your group -" she gestures loosely towards Latrious and Kierro, "- that they had a similar affliction, but you as well? That makes four of us, at least. Something very odd is at work here. Have you been able to discover any cause for this, or how to reverse it? I assume, if not, you've compared your mental checklists of what you can, and cannot, remember, where you turned up when you 'woke up,' as it were, and your experiences since that time?"
Tessa, bucket of greatly depleted raspberries in tow, will approach the intrepid band of returning adventurers. She approaches them unabashedly and moves in close to witness their interaction with their hobgoblin prisoners. She will attempt to eavesdrop in on the chatter, periodically munching on a raspberry or two.
“We can’t pinpoint a cause; all of us seemed to have appeared out of nowhere around this town. Regardless, we’re all currently looking into a missing shipment of supplies for the town in order to help out. Perhaps you would like to join us and help the town as well. We might all figure out what took all our memories together.” Kierro bows to Mylene and extends a handshake and a warm smile. “I’m Kierro, and this is Naivara, Latrius, and Honor. What’s your name?”
He has blue eyes and wavy brown hair, and is dressed in a tunic, breeches, and a belt. He is armored, but doesn’t appear to have any weapons.
After purchasing supplies and equipment, Sylcan and Vilana had headed back to the inn. Inside, they were discussing what to do next, when they heard noises outside. Wandering over to the door of the Inn, Sylcan noticed a group of people who had a couple of hobgoblins in tow. Looking at the group, Sylcan didn't recognize them, except for Tessa, who was wandering over to the group with her bucket of raspberries. Turning to walk back inside, a memory he had stowed away in his mind came back to him. Sylcan remembered the painful vision he had had in the ruins, when he had first gained consciousness, and recognized the elf from his memory. Quickly turning back to Vilana, he recounted what he had seen, and then told her, "Do you remember how we both had visions, no, memories this morning, in the ancient ruins? Mine was of myself and another elf, fighting goblins. I didn't think too much of it then, other than it being strange, but I just saw the same elf outside, in the road. I wonder if him, or possibly his companion, will have any clue of what happened to us. What do you think we should do? Should we approach them?"
Vilana raised her brows and turned to looked at the walking proof the memories were indeed memories, not visions (so, she did have a cat? Interesting.) "I say yes," she nodded slowly. With Tessa it did not work all that well, yet, for halfling raspberries from her dreams happened to jolt some of her personality. Who knows, may be talking with that man helps Sylcan? Then all she would have to do is to find a black cat. "Do you remember his name? At any rate, let's not repeat my mistake and admit immediately the memory loss. Talking first."

She takes note of the four identified by name, and answers, “I am Mylene. I think it’s altogether strange how nonchalantly you’re taking this. Someone tampered with your mind and left you naked in the wilderness, I presume. You call it gratitude, I call it repaying my debts - which I always do - but surely it makes more sense to get all of those afflicted by this phenomenon together and compare notes, first, before we all go running off on some quest? If you know nothing of your life before, how do you know you didn’t have some prior, much more important, obligation, than policing the roads of this quaint little nothing of a town? We should coordinate and share information, and try to find others. If there are four there could be more, and we all seem to be gravitating to this town for some reason.”
Naivara's cheeks flush a little at the reminder that she in fact woke up not in the woods, "I mean... I guess you could see it that way. But maybe we were brought here to help these people?"
Shaking his head, Sylcan replied, "No, I do not recall his name. I only remember his face, and a bit of a memory. However, I agree with you. We shouldn't make the same mistake as last time. Have you thought of something?" While asking Vilana her thoughts, Sylcan's mind was racing. To avoid a similar mishap, they would need to disguise their purpose - but at the same time, deception might not be the best course of action. Tessa was there, and she would know enough to tell they were lying. As his mind raced, Sylcan suddenly thought of something that might work. "The group had a couple of hobgoblins as prisoners. What do you think about masking our intentions under the guise of wanting to hunt monsters?"
"Quant and little perhaps, but certainly not nothing. The people of this town, judging from both my experience and some of the ones I've met already, they've been of help to us in equipping ourselves, and they've heard us out when we told them of our plights. It's the least we can do, assisting them with the vital supplies.
...perhaps there's more of us scattered throughout the town. Maybe we could search for this afternoon and tonight, and set out for the hideout where the hobgoblins said the supplies were kept tomorrow morning."

Follow me, and we will discover the nature of this curse, and come back stronger than ever.
