One of the creatures, wearing a jeweled eyepatch looks over to the goblin, “Figures Droop would keep over as trouble shows up.” Turning to the party, “Mosk was told to work with people wearing cloaks. And I don’t see no cloaks on these people. ... get them boys!”

(I’ll wait for initiative from you all before resolving attacks. I assume you all go for the same target? Raithe, since the group wasn’t being stealthy, at least as far as I could tell, no sneak attack since you didn’t roll with advantage. Though if someone moves next to one of them before your attack occurs then you would get sneak attack.)

Initiative for Cadence : 8

Fionn mutters a few divine words pointing at the eyepatched bugbear as a flame-like radiance descends upon him. Catching site of his gesture, Mosk is able to dodge out of the way of the sacred flame. Velda meanwhile, charges in directly towards Mosk attempting to draw his attention away from the rest of the group slashing him with her long sword.

Seeing Velda charge one of the brutes, Raithe looses her arrow as Velda’s strike connects with the creature. It looks heavily wounded from the combination of the two attacks. Staggering backwards from the sudden onslaught Mosk is caught by a fire bolt from Cadence and falls to the ground.

The remaining two bugbears charge Velda  brandishing their morningstars swinging for her head. Acutely award of her surroundings, Velda manages to duck underneath the two morningstars as the connect with each other above her head.

Sensing an opportunity to come to Velda’s aid, Nova presses forward and lands a slash with her scimitar on one of the creatures arms.

Hoping for better results, Fionn tries again to call down sacred flame on the bugbear that Nova just struck. Being preoccupied with recovering from its missed swing the bugbear is struck by the sacred flame. Velda presses the advantage and swinging again with her long sword and stabs the bugbear through the chest. As Velda withdraws her weapon from the creature it looks like it’s barely able to stand.

Raithe and Cadence you’re up!

Cadence flings another blast of fire at the bugbear. Attack: 24 Damage: 7

The blast connects with its chest and falls backwards on to the floor and remains motionless. 

Raithe darts to the side, trying to get a better angle, hiding behind Velda's backswing, and looses another arrow.

Attack: 11 Damage: 4 plus 2 sneak attack damage

Nova would try to time the dance of battle with the others, she'd duck in to slash at a bugbear.

Attack: 5 Damage: 3 

(It's a ruff day for Nova lol)

The remaining bugbear having not previously been engaged in combat and watching in horror as both Mosk and its friend fell so quickly in battle was ready with its shield. Managing to block the arrow from Raithe.

Charging towards the closest assailant the bugbear lets out a bestial roar of fury and swings at Velda. Which Velda easily deflects the blow away from herself given the loud roar preceding it. Unfortunately for Nova, that directed its shield towards her halfhearted swing against the beast and her strike clangs harmlessly against it.

Fionn looks at the remaining bugbear, “You’re next chum. The lady says so.” Then mutters a few divine words and points to the creature as sacred flames begin to descend on the creature.

The bugbear just manages to maneuver himself out of the way of the descending holy flames as Velda strikes out towards the beast. Despite being thwarted on its own attack against the half-orc it manages to bring its shield back up in time to thwart Velda’s strike.

Raithe and Cadence your turn!

Raithe blows a strand of blue hair out of her eyes and stows her bow. She darts forward to the rear of the bugbear, opposite Velda, and draws her shortsword and dagger, looking for a gap in its defenses as she flanks it.

Shortsword Attack: 22 Damage: 5
Offhand dagger Attack: 19 Damage: 2

Cadence closes her eyes for a moment, nodding her head in time with some unheard music, then opens her eyes and lets go a blast of magical fire at the bugbear. 

Attack: 25 Damage: 5

 
The bugbear looks a bit bewildered by the barrage of hits two from Raithe and the blast of fire from cadence. It spins around and lashes out at Raithe. The morning stat connects with the side of Raithe’s face with a satisfying crunch. (At least to the bugbear.) It gives a satisfied grin and looks around ready for the next attack. 

Nova would snarl angrily at the bugbear for its ruthless strike against Raithe. She wanted to charge in and attack it, but she trusted Velda's battle prowess and Cadences dance moves to get the revenge. The druid would retreat to the rogue's side.

Nova would reach out and gingerly cup Raithe's face in her hand. Mismatched eyes would dart side to side inspecting the damage with concern. She'd begin to whisper words in druidic that were now beginning to feel more familiar, hoping to heal some of the damage.

Cure Wounds: 8

Raithe's cloud-grey eyes sink into Nova's mismatched ones, first in confusion, almost drowning, and then in relief, as the healing builds her face back out again nearly to normal. "My thanks, my apologies, my thanks again, Miss Nova..." she breathes out, and then turns back to the bugbear with a bark-laugh, shaking out her arms and blades, ready for the next chance to strike.

Still wanting to keep his distance, Fionn calls down some more sacred flames on the final bugbear. It nimbly avoids the raining holy flames as Velda readies herself to strike at the creature. Finding a gap in the creatures defense, Velda lands a mighty blow. Turning to Raithe she bellows, “Quick, finish it off.”

Raithe presses the attack again!

Raithe evidently stabs the bugbear in the heart from behind with the dagger while chopping off his head with the shortsword.

"That was not very nice!" she says brightly, holding her face wound gingerly after dropping her dagger. "Now what is to be done with this goblin?"

Cadence blanches a bit at the gruesome scene. Then she wanders randomly down the hall away from the room, waving her pointing finger in the air along with a random tune. 

"Was gunna ask Hugz what he'd suggest for the goblin." Nova would absentmindedly crook a finger at Raithe to call her to pad back over so the druid could take another look at her face. Her eyes would already be doing another scan and her hands reaching for herbs to start her poultice.

(I forgot about having her spirit totem up if a full hour hasn't passed yet. If it's still within time: add + 2 to healing Raithe and everyone gets +2hp. And I'm trying to remember if we've had a SR between when I last used healing kit. Or we done here/expecting to rest?)
