Bell holds out her arm and signals for Yin to stop, and she backs away herself. "... I got something... and I don't like it. It's poison, and the area is growing. I... I saw a symbol in my head when the magic detected it. We need to get back to the others and find someone..." Bell shakes her head and shrugs. "Anyone who might know something more about this... I've got a really bad feeling about this- and I mean worse than you'd expect for an, admittedly, already terrifying pohenomenon." Bell faces Yin. "Sorry to drag you all this way just to turn around, but I think this whole thing is bigger than I thought it was going to be."

"Fish beggars? Who would call you that? Have you been begging for fish? It seems (or so my nose tells me) that you may have recently - if not still - possessed enough salted fish to sate the growling bellies of any hungry folk. Is that true?" She looks to Rose, and despite any looks indicating this was NOT the line of questioning the cleric might have desired, Fallan presses on. "I don't see why we couldn't be your couriers. And in return, we could probably lighten your load of any pescatarian goodies you have been hauling with you. What do you think?"She glances again at Rose but tries to keep her attention on the leader speaking for the group of 'travelers' they have just met.
Rose clears her throat but then giggles at Fallans one track mind. Yes, as my friend Fallan states we could certainly make this delivery for you. If you have any food and water you could spare as payment that would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately its as you heard, the roads aren't safe. We were set upon by Drow close to Silverymoon. Though we managed to escape, unfortunately the took nearly everything we didn't take with us from our camp, including our food. The road should be safe enough now mind you but I'd still be wary. Rose frowns and then taps the holy symbol around her neck.
Sorry but I seem to have forgotten to introduce myself. I am Rosorla Brightmoon, Cleric of Selûne, Silverymoon chapter. This is my friend and traveling companion Fallan. As we said we would be happy to make this delivery for you and you have my word as a Cleric that whatever it is you need delivered will be safe with us. Though if I can make a suggestion, do not go to Silverymoon. I'm afraid dark times are upon my home and the city is simply not safe. If all you needed from Silverymoon was a courier then we shall be your couriers and you can avoid the city. Perhaps you would rather come with us to Everlund? I'd like to speak to this guards who so readily turn away visitors to their city. Or if you have somewhere else you can go then I suggest you head there, but do avoid Silverymoon.
Waiting on Yins response before adjudicating Bell/Yins side.
Multiple times during Fallan's response one or the other of the group tries to respond but Fallan is like a hamster on coffee when it comes to food, and they can find no more than a breath of a moment to speak, and when she finally does, Rose having been with her just long enough to predict when her speech would be over cuts in, at which point Rose takes over and the group has momentarily resigned themselves to simply listening.
As Rose spoke, a few of the men looked at eachother at various points, shrugging when the request for food ans water was made, as if that seemed a trifle, the leader nodding himself to let the pair opening one of their containers (primarily wicker-like) as they began to pull out several types of fish native to the area (it seems they had been fishing recently) at-least a day and a half's worth. And seeing no waterskins on your person one of them takes off his own, and with a spell, creates water, funneling it into the container, and handing it to the pair.
And I am Arthur, we come from deep within the Dessarim valley. In a small .. for lack of a better word.. town, along the river. We do't belong to any particular group though we do have a few practiced artisans. And as the wave ebbs the coast, they craft items from stone, and deliver them to those who would pay. It is how we keep our town funded in times of .... well when the sea recedes its bounty. The man says with a sigh, closing his eyes momentarily. I tell you this mostly because the item is rather heavy, my guess is around twenty to thirty pounds. I simply want to allay any thoughts of it being a mere letter or painting or some other light delivery. The man also had clearly noted that both of you were halflings.
Once the waterskin and the fish had been supplied the man adds in We have more fish if this isn't sufficient, and we can always get more for ourselves later if needbe. But on behalf of all of us, I thank you. Please try to have it delivered before the next-next afternoon (48 hours) lest our delivery be too late. And I'm sure the fury of our recipients sea will swell... Regardless, thank you, you have saved us valuable time, and at the cost of a few fish and some water? You have no idea how much you truly have made our lives easier friends of Silverymoon and Elune.
As for the Drow... I suppose that is who has been attacking, but as you can see we came prepared after hearing the rumors. This is almost a quarter of our folk and all of us are trained in differing aspects of battle. But what could be going on in Silverymoon.... he says, genuinely confused, and looking in the general direction of it, as it can't really be seen from here due to the tree's. A few of the others do the same, one of them asking out loud But who would have attacked it, and why?
Fallan's face broadens, and the impish grin of one who knows something unexpected, she moves to the basket and hoists it with an ease the fisherpeople obviously did not expect. "And is there a name and/or location to whom this is to be delivered that we should know?" Fallan asks. "As for what's happening in Silverymoon... all I can say is, don't go inside the town if you are hungry!"
Rose laughs but tries to clarify Fallans statement. The city wasn't attacked, but rather plagued. Some sort of madness had taken hold of the city and of those who get to close to it. We only truly realized after we entered the city and it wasn't long before the madness started to affect us too. Poor Fallan here nearly ate herself to death and another of our group ran off. We only barely managed to escape the city so I could cure the madness in my companions and the few people we could get near. We were hoping to find supplies in Everlund so we could look into what the cause might be, and to ensure she hasn't met the same fate. But if you continue to go that way don't get too close to the city lest you fall victim to it as well.
The primary man of the group, Arthur, seems dumbstruck as he shakes his head at himself, and the others there get a good hearty laugh at his expense. Forgive me... the tides of my mind must have been out due to us being turned away.. among other recent news. he says referring to what Rose and co have told him. Alphonse Finnegan, he's not a man of repute. He lives in the center of town last ewe had been informed, in a rather unassuming house. As Fallan continues though, the two genasi's brows quirk at her particular choice of phrasing, both of the men being rather rotund, and seeming disappointed by the news.
Rose then follows up to further explain the situation all of their visages turn into mixtures of confusion, surprise, and darker tones as atleast a few of them ponder what that news might mean. It seems misfortune hangs over more than us then. Indeed. We should heed their warning, though we will need to resupply before we move. Is the effect coralled within the city?
Will allow one more round of posting on Rose/Fallans end before pausing for Yin/Bell
We aren't entirely sure, Rose admits. Some of our friends are looking into it now. We have a small camp that seemed to be safe anyway, its not too far outside the city, but I don't know how far away whatever it is can affect people.
"Yep, like Rose said, our friends are trying to check to see if... how would you say it?... 'the tide is rising and the plague is expanding'. So, no, we don't actually know where the problem begins, just that it may even be beyond the gates to the city." Fallan looks to Rose for confirmation of what she has said and nods both at the basket she is now carrying and in the direction of Everlund. With a raised eyebrow, Fallan indicates that she's ready to move on... likely to get to where the fish can be cooked and enjoyed.
Yin seems to not notice what was said, it was only then that Bell noticed that the woman had gone farther ahead than Bell had when Bell was distracted.... She seemed entranced momentarily before saying something to the effect of If something is wrong, then I must go to aid them... all of them.... and with blinding speed, Yin made her way towards the city with Haste that Bell had only seen Root be capable of, a small trail of dust being kicked up in her wake. Yin was gone before Bell could even fully react, considering the new revelations. In the end, Bell owed Yin no true loyalty, and this revelation needed to be given to the others..... Especially if the 'radii' was growing, then time was truly of the essence.
Hmmm, I see. Well then perhaps we shall wait here for a while. If only so that the guards do not see us with you and thus hinder the delivery... and this should be far enough away from the city that whatever is 'going on' should be far away from us then. We'll set out in a day or two just to be safe on both tides.
Bellerain begins hurrying back to meet with Rose and Fallan. She frowns. "Sorry Yin! I can't risk getting taken by the poison, I have to get to the others!" she calls, despite knowing her brief ally wouldn't hear her.

Of course friend. We'll get a move on. Everlund should be close and im eager to restock and supplies and return to Silverymoon. If you wish to set up camp here then we will return as soon as possible. Our friends may also come this way, if it proved too dangerous to camp near Silverymoon. If you see a Satyr pass through here before we return shes with us.
Rose waits just long enough for the travelers to acknowledge and say any final words before beckoning Fallan to follow her and continuing along the road.
"What she said..."quipped Fallan. Then, with an additional thought, she added: "But if the Satyr offers you honey from a flask, I recommend you abstain! Really!" With that, she hurries to Rose's side so they might head out to Everlund.
Yin does in fact hear it and waves a hand in a passive 'got it' motion, as the poison doesn't seem to block out all else. Regardless, Yin never stops moving into the city, eventually (long after Bell has turned back) enters the heart of Silverymoon. Bell herself turns 'tail' seemingly somewhat panicked by the image she had seen flash within her mind when the contact with the poison initially occurred. The only succor she could find in the situation being that though the area was growing, is that it was an extremely slow creep. Bell runs for most of the rest of that day, her shield feeling heavy by the end of it. Making it back to where the old camp had been by the time it was time to rest.
Arthur nods, and points at three of those with him, and they seem to start to head to the lake to restock their own supplies (Having given most of their current stock as payment) while others began to setup a small area for resting. No tents, but bedrolls were layed out, though you would notice if you stayed long enough that they made no area for a campfire. Aside from that, their busywork continued for a few minutes - afterall with so many people, setting up camp wouldn't take long. Responding to Rose though before she left Of course. We'll let them know where you went, if they don't already. however to Fallans comment, a few of tem pause in their working to look at her like some doomsayer on the sidewalk, wondering what her 'cryptic warning' was all about watching her for a few moments before continuing their work as both Rose and Fallan continue their way (more casually than Bell)
Bell and Fallan had continued their way along the road for a while, and the day was starting to wane, though it was still high enough in the sky to cast brilliant pink, orange, red, and purple hues across the sky, And gathered around the road, hovering randomly into the forest and back out, seemed a small hornets nest of odd... mudlike creatures, whom would occasionally stop entirely and become indistinguishable from a mound of mud for a moment before seeming to get bored and annoyed and continuing along its random path. There were atleast eight of the things. They don't seem to have noticed either of you.
Bell makes camp for that day, not wanting to fall into another bout of extreme exhaustion, and luckily the night proves uneventful. And the next morning she strikes out (lacking in breakfast) consuming honey from her jug if only to stave away the hunger pangs from her loss of food at the hands of the drow, making her way further towards where she expected her friends to be, stumbling upon a camp of rather roguish looking fishermen, including two Genasi.
"Well, hiya! Didn't mean stumble upon you fellas. Um... you wouldn't happen to have seen two Halflings about yay high pass by here yesterday, didja?" Bell greets them. She smiles brightly, and angles her hip for the easiest draw of her rapier just in case.

The two that are closest look at Bell for several seconds before something clearly 'clicks' as they finish down the fillet'd fish they had been eating moments before, swallowing hard to get it down faster, as they stammered to respond for several moments . Yeah, we met 'em earlier this morning I think. Heading for Everlund, and they took on a task for us that we couldn't do ourselves oof.. the man says as he gets ribbed by the other mans elbow. That wording just makes it sound suspicious you dunce. We were unable to do it because the guards thought us ... beggers. So we asked the halflings to deliver it in our stead so its rightful owner can receive their delivery. An annoying delay but.. it's been solved. Would you like to join us for some fish, or are you going to catch up with your friends? Throughout it all they seem relatively sincere .. if bored. The others in the area either ignored Bells existence or curiously watched the exchange - if they weren't actively in the middle of some task or another.
"Ummm, 8 to 2 would seem a little bit lopsided, no? Do we need to engage these mud daubers, or do you think there's a way around them?"Fallan whispered to Rose. "I'm pretty sure I could sneak by them, but I am not sure I want to be separated from you if things go haywire. What do you want to do?"Fallan scans the trees to identify the best likely shadowed path to sneak through if Rose thinks that's best.
