"You'll get your shot at the next person up the line, but this one first, get a breather" Adrana says.
"Now then!" She exclaims as Nebulas and Dridook set themselves ready, the Triton over his surprise and furious, with a hint of embarrassment to go along with it.
Grasping the union of your fists she yells "Ready!....Go!" and releases you.... [Athletic Check]
"That's great!" the girl replies, truly excited. "I have a wonderful ability to sense people, and you both seem super incredible and that's just what we need more of!"
She looks down at some notes on her desk, "tomorrow evening is when we are expecting the meeting to begin, I'd love to be more exact, however the guild master's duties sometimes... fluctuate temporally, so it makes that quite impossible, but he does aim to force that to a close schedule" She smiles and bobs her head. "You are more than welcome to explore the main guild hall, have a seat, get a meal and drink, and speak with any members passing through, and if there's anything at all I can do for you, then you just let me know, ok?"
You both tense your muscles focusing on shoving the other's hand down while trying to keep your elbow tabled. Your effort strains him and moves his arm back about 1/4 of the way, but he locks in and stops your progress there. [Athletics Check]
He struggles to push back, and for the briefest of moments you feel him gain about an inch, but then his extra dose of adrenaline wears off and you surge against his efforts and slam his hand into the table. [what he gets for rolling a 1]
"Ahah!" Adrana yells excitedly. "Well either we have 2 truly worthy competitors or it's time for Dridook here to either work out or retire!" she jibes the triton.
She looks over to Ayo, "Well now, it's your chance against number four, Growger you're up!" The tanned skinned human walks over and takes his place across from Ayo and readies himself. As you prepare again, he grins sharply at you.
Seeing the sadness from the old lady. "Erm. Sorry. I didn't mean to bring it up." Valzes scratches her head. She still cannot wrap her head around the elf that she met earlier. "Did you see an elf walk toward here a moment ago?"
"It's quite alright, not all old memories are bad memories... and I see plenty of elves come through, but not recently I'm afraid. Sorry I can't be of more help." She tells you somberly.
As your hands are released you put in an enormous push and move the large man's hand back halfway to the table... his smirk vanishes, replaced by a look of horror, as he thought the triton was just a weakling you faced before. [Athletics check]
She is still curious about the disappeared elf, but she does not want to push the old lady further. "Thank you for telling me. Hehe." She awkwardly smile. she takes one of the flowers from the cart then put 5 cooper pieces on the lady's hand. "I'll take this one." Then she continues her way toward the building, while still keeping an eye around for the elf.
The elven lady nods in thanks, but is clearly confused by the encounter as you depart. The remainder of your trip isn't terribly far from this portion of the city. You make your way up the slight incline of the road with the old building coming ever closer, until the city begins to change gradually, becoming older, yet also cleaner and better kept. The smooth white stone walls with ancient carvings that seemed to tell a story as you walk of battles long past between demons and armored figures. There are ornate signs at every building, many are offices and very high-end merchants, however the one you've been tracking with the old symbol is just ahead with the base and entrance just within sight. A very large sign of solid wood with burning aqua letters that shine even in the midday sun and reads clearly "Mystic Helix" above a very ornate arched doorway holding 2 very large and sturdy looking wooden doors. You see a group of 4 with a metal dog enter and the doors close behind them. It's another ten minutes of walking before you reach the doors yourself.
