"Cowards," Fianna spits.
"iompar chugam go dtí sin," she whispers, the words of power allowing her to teleport sixty feet east. ((via Far Step as a Bonus Action.)) Once she reappears she take a moment to look southeast. She looks past the pitiful lone orc (O8) to the small band of draw just threatening to get too far to strike at. Still, with her jump they should be within range...
"stailc síos iad," she mutters and points her staff so as to aim with it, waiting a moment for just the right look through the trees before releasing the power and sending a Eldritch Blast after the fleeing enemies, three beams of crackling energy flashing out to strike the fleeing Drow ((D14, 15 & 16)) ((24 Necrotic damage or Constitution Save for half damage...))((37 Damage or Dexterity Save for half damage))
First Blast at D14 Attack: 20 Damage: 6

Attack: 26 Damage: 8
(Second roll for attack because of disadvantage (sorry!): 23 )
(While Chen is within 5ft, she can use her reaction to make an attack against him to be rolled with a disadvantage)
The two shots end up going wide, missing Loane. She shakes her head, letting them run off. With bow still in hand, she moves south, to start regrouping with the others.

Fianna's blast strike all three Drow, and then Mirica charges one and her hammer strike swings in and he collapses under the blow.
FinFin, an agile flyer and used to her teleporting friend spots Fianna's new position and swoops through the forest with speed, letting her wings expand and slow her flight at the last moment as she lands on Fianna's shoulder.
The ettercaps continue to climb, reaching 120 feet into the trees and begin moving across the canopy as the leap from branch to branch to flee.
The drow on the edges continue their flight into the dark woods, melting away into the darkness with ease. Only two are left nearby, having turned and are now fleeing away from Chen and Mirica.
(Chen, you may make an attack of opportunity on #10 if you like.)
Chen/Toc's turn. Chen, they are now 60 feet from you as they're in full flight.
Toc, seemingly unwilling to let them slink away has moved to a new position and unleashes a blast of lightning that rips through the forest with a thunderous crack, setting trees and bushes afire as it rips through them. 40 Dex 18 save : 21
One of them drops, a charred corpse, while the second gets blasted, but somehow stays on its feet.
The lone orc left on the battle field continues to flee.

Crossbow bolts fly through the air, several thudding into the lone Orc. They strike him though he even with a couple bolts in him he continues to try and escape. Meanwhile SilverMark unleashes several glowing bolts at the last drow who drops as they strike him.
Everyone can have another shot at the final orc if they want. He's 130 feet from Fianna, Mirica, and Chen.
Otherwise, the forest is suddenly quiet.
Toc appears, his magic falling away. He has bits of branches and leaves on him, and has several large bruises and seems to be breathing with a bit of difficulty. Likewise, Chen looks like a bit of a mess, with chunks of wood all over him, dragon blood down one side of his body, and big blood shot eyes. Mirica as well looks pale and a bit shaky, the poison from the drow shot coursing through her body. SinSin, looking extremely proud seems untouched, though his cheeks are flush with adrenalin. "Wow, that was something to tell grandchildren about one day!"
Dead Orc and Drow bodies litter the forest, and a massive green dragon body, mangled by its fall sits in a good sized crater in the ground, next to a slightly smaller but still impressive crater of upturned soil and plants where Chen fell. Several plants are on fire, or smoking, with long strips of forest burned and charred or blown up by the fierce magic unleashed during the battle. The forest is too moist to be at risk of the fire spreading though as it slowly burns itself out. The group sees two new broken threads of floating in the air, their magical frayed ends lazily waving back and forth. One is blue, Enchantment, and one is red, Evocation. SilverMark turns to Coon, "I'll take care of the frays.."
Coon nods to him, and approach the group, "Well, that was an impressive display. No doubt. My men and I did little more than watch as you tore them apart." He glances over at the dragon, "This things death is good news for every creature in a thousand miles."
He turns to his men, "Take a break, set a perimeter and some watch. Not you Roz, let's chat." They begins spreading out.
Coon turns and goes off to one side to have a quiet conversation with Roz.

Mirica considered to run after the last orc, but at the end just waved the hand in his direction: Spike Growth raising a carpet of spikes under his feet ( for 8 damage and slowing him down a bit)
When orc was dealt with one way or another, she turned to Chen. "Hold on, Dragonslayer, let's patch you up first."Toc (and every other injured) were summoned to for the quick fix (she called back the Healing spirit, all they need to do is to sit still close for one minute, and at least some wounds will close up). ( 15 x 6 )
She also came to look at the dragon, of course. "One of the most precious scale out there... Glad we got rid of him, but even though his brother and sister are, no doubt, happy that we helped with competition, the mother now has a stronger motive to go after everyone around. Not that she was not going to anyway, but she got a justification."

The 22nd squad and the group stand around...the only sound is the "ow! oof! arg...owww! aagg....ak!!" of the lone orc as he runs through the spike filled ground away from the group. Somehow...he manages to make it across the entire section though....though as he runs he still screams in pain as you can only imagine the shape of his feet after running across 40 feet of razor sharp thorns and spikes.
Everyone looks away from the orcs slowly fading pained cries.
Toc and Chen move up next to the translucent glittering mountain lion spirit and feel healing energy seeping into them.
Chen gets 15, then 17, then 13, then, 16 until he feels as right as rain. Toc also gets some healing, 13, then 20. The Lion slowly fades away.
Toc nods to Mirica, "Thank you very much." He still looks a bit banged up but less wavering on his feet. He nods to Mirica, "I imagine his mother will be none too happy with us."
"We should move," Fianna suggests loudly. "Likely enough their fleeing is genuine, what with the dragon down and all... But just in case they are merely regrouping, we should make ourselves harder to find."
FinFin, the chaos over, will again do some reconnaissance in the direction they fled to try to spy if they are indeed regrouping for another attack, or just retreating.

As Chen's breathing slows, and his temper subsides, he comes to himself and realises that state of things around him. Empty-handed, he takes the opportunity to eject a goat of flame from his mouth at the fleeing opponent beside him (12 fire damage, DC 18 DEX save for half), then stops running. Returning to the site of the dragon's fall, he searches around until he finds his hammer, calling on the help of those who can detect magic if he can't locate it by sight. He receives the healing from Mirica gratefully, all the while looking over again and again at the dragon's body and saying quietly to himself "Oh dear, oh dear" and "What a shame".

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Chen's fiery breath took down one of the Drow a bit earlier. He then goes to find his hammer amidst the fallen leaves and bushes, the search doesn't take too long.
The group has gathered and discuss their options, but general agreement seems to make haste away. Fianna nods, and starts leading the group through the woods. FinFin has found the enemies scattered to the wind, with no signs of them regrouping. The ruins are once again empty and quiet.
With the adrenalin leaving bodies, everyone realizes how much the short but violent battle had taken out of them. The 22nd trails behind the group. Coon, SilverMark and Wrath seems to walk together and share several looks. SilverMark seems to be constantly pointing at each of them as they converse using magic.
The rest of the group walks fairly quietly, eyes and ears alert for trouble.
Once you've walked for a good couple of hours the trees begin to return to normal and it seems as if you're leaving the worst of the dark woods behind. The sky however is growing dart, peeking through the trees, and it's clear it'll be night soon. Fianna finds a great place to camp. Coon approaches the group as they halt their progress and begin to down gear. "It's been a pleasure working with you folk, but we really need to report back. This has all been quite something, and we need to get information to our commanders. You helped us rescue Roz. I won't forget that. You need the Oak Regiment for any reason...I'll make sure our commander finds a reason to go...now we're pressing on for a couple more hours before we hunker down."
Wrath and SilverMark approach the group and take a few minutes to re-iterate about the tears in the magic and how to close them. Now that you know, it seems an almost trivial thing to do. Just feed it a bit of the right type of magic and it closes right up. It doesn't solve the mystery of why they're happening....but that is likely a problem for another day.
Coon looks around the group with earnest respect, "Nice meetin you all." He turns his attention to his troops, "22nd! Move out."
As the 22nd squad walk past, you each get many nods from the troops, but behind their eyes there is an equal measure of fear to match the respect. You get the feeling they'll be more comfortable once they get a good distance from all of you.

"Er, sorry. Didn't mean to offend." Loane mumbles. An earnest apology, but still a rather awkward one. As they walk, she keeps an eye out for any more attacks, though none ever arrive. Occasionally as they travel a cough let out, which she covers with her arm. No complaints are brought up about it. The troops get a curt nod as they continue on with their trek. It is not an envious journey.
Once they are out of earshot, Loane speaks up again. "How close do we want to stick to this corrupted part of the forest? We need to find a place to hunker down and rest."

"A couple miles, I'd think... In almost any direction not the one they took. Easy enough to set up guards just in case but we shouldn't dilly dally here too long..." Fianna agrees.
"Though..." She adds, thoughtfully. Almost reluctantly. "I suppose we should check the corpses just in case they have anything that could give us an idea about what it going on. Doubtful, of course, these just being minions but..." She trails off with a shrug.
The group heads in another direction for 30 minutes, then figures they're far enough away. Toc raises a magical hut for you to rest in, though Chen once again sleeps alone outside. He also begins casting another spell which secures the hut in a silence from any of the forest noises. In the darkness of the forest, the group takes reasonable precautions and by the time the dawn in approaching and Mirica is saying her morning prayers, you've all awoken and are feeling well rested and mended.
Toc looks to the group, "Well. I believe I can lead us to the ruins of Myth Drannor and the statues of the weeping woman, near Aldlas Sodhese. It would seem he is the threat behind the dragons and the demons. I am unsure if you are all willing to proceed on this quest. It is liable to be quite dangerous. However, I think you've all proven that you can handle yourself more than just any average warrior. You are all remarkable in your own ways. Now, it may take several days of travel to get to Myth Drannor. Or...naturally...I know a place there I can teleport us to if we wish to go quickly."

Mirica, that finished her morning prayers and now had a breakfast (cooked by Chen, of course) nodded to Toc's words: "We are stuck here between three angry dragons and one undead mage with demons for minions. Tough choice, but I feel like visiting the mage. And the sooner - the better. No need to give dragons a chance to find us on the way to the ruins."
"We did just take down a dragon, and some of its forces. If we were unwilling, I expect we would have ran a while ago." Loane states. "I would like to see all of this finished. It might be best to teleport. Give this mad mage less time to hear of what happened and prepare."

(Jahren would inspect some of the orc and drow bodies before they depart, glean what he could from the chats or at least body language between Coon, Roz and the rest, and vote for the teleport option to thei next target.)
