Fianna sees one bolt go flying past her and while she is looking after it she is struck by another. She lets out a small "Ugh" at the hit, but it's just a minor thing, more a surprise reaction than anything else but it is enough of a reaction for her to turn and unleash Hellish Rebuke at her attacker. Spinning towards whence the arrow came from, Fianna points at the attacker smiles as they are surrounded by hellish flames. ((Assuming they are within 60' of her... If not, I suppose it'd be a flop. 15 on a failed Dex save, half as much if successful.))
With such chaos emerging around her, Fianna's first thought is of FinFin. Even as she is thinking of her familiar she hears them screech out in pain! Before the pseudo dragon even has a chance to react to the Orcs and try to hide or fly out of range it is struck by one of their bolts, taking major damage. The familiar takes to the air, flying into the branches and the leaves in an attempt to hide ((Stealth22 )) as well as to just get out of range.
Fianna's first instinct is to protect FinFin... She could do it, she could pause just a moment and concentrate and dismiss her one true companion for the last who knows number of years into the safety of the NeverEver, or wherever it is they go. She starts to do just that but she knows she has higher priorities at the moment. Even if the worst occurs and FinFIn falls, she knows she could resummon them on the morrow. She's had to do it twice before but each time...
Still, FinFIn could be brought back, she couldn't do the same for the more bipedal and recent of her companions. With that in mind Fianna changes focus from FinFin's protection to the destruction of the attackers. Taking a quick look around, Fianna picks out a line of sight with care to avoid any of her teammates but to hopefully hit as many orcs as possible. Once targeted, Fianna raises her staff and unleashes a Cone of Cold and sends a wintery blast out from her and into the midst of the attackers. ((40 damage or Constitution save for half.))
((So Fianna reaction to first round is Hellish Rebuke if they're close enough, FinFin's first round is steal thing and flying up up and away, and Fianna's second round is Cone of Cold... Just to clarify.))
Mirica finally got out of the tent but only had time to look around her (plus Shifting as a Bonus action). Nobody seemed to be dying as of yet, but judging by the number of the enemies, it was only a matter of time.

When hidden in her tent, she pushes her hair out of her face, while she grabs another arrow. One of the crossbow bolts rips through the canvas and slices her arm. Jahren wakes at the alarm and sits up, quickly understanding roughly what is happening. For half of a second he considers taking his time so as to see what his new companions can do, but his instincts tell him this is more than a few bandits or wolves in the night. Jumping up and grasping his Fochlucan Bandore the bard very briefly eyes the shield still hidden beneath it's cloth covering but thinks better of it in favor of getting outside and seeing what's going on first. He slings the strap of his instrument over his shoulder as he emerges from his tent to see the chaos erupting all around.
Thinking quickly, the half-elf fingers the strings on his instrument just a bit to inspire the magic to flow as he watches Fianna cut down swathes of approaching orcs with her magic. Jahren calls out loudly "surely you are already beginning to regret your attack on these mightiest of heroes! Rather than perish on this night, DEFEND THOSE YOUR GROUP HAS ATTACKED such that you may be allowed to live in return!" Mass Suggestion. Seeing Chen head for the horses and thinking it wise, Jahren focuses on orcs in his area, leaving one for the dragonborn to tangle with, and any other archers he can see in hopes that his own companions don't immediately strike them, breaking his charm.
Targeting 12 orcs if possible with 7th level slot. DC18 WIS save*** (DM, I believe the bardic instrument does not count for Disadvantage here as the spell does not specify the Charmed condition despite those who are immune to charm avoiding the spell, but your call on that one.)
Loane steps steps out of the tent. A orc with an axe rushing fianna takes an arrow in the chest and drops like a stone. Fianna meanwhile turns....the orca thinning, and releases a blast of cold through a half dozen. They turn to ice where they stand, several toppling to the ground and shattering into bits. The ground, leaves and bushes are blue and white and sparkle with ice.
Chen near the horses begins swinging his hammer. Two Orcs are crushed to the ground as the hammer caves in their chests.
Meanwhile as Jahren shouts out inspiring words while strumming his magical instrument 8 Orcs sudden turn their backs to the party, their weapons up, as the shout at their previous allies in orcish, “no! Stop attacking! Protect them!!”

The mild-mannered and jovial Chen has vanished, and a bloodthirsty and violent dragonborn has taken his place. With blood on his hammer and the cry of orcs still on the air, Chen is hungry for more. "Chasing them through the night woods might not be the best idea,"calmly commented Mirica, joining the fight with unnecessary (all wounds were bruisers at worst) but not hurting either word of healing (literally: Mass Healing Word for 9 to everyone).

Fianna is about to continue her assault but sees the opponents all fleeing or... apparently charmed by Jahren? She had suspected there was more to him than he was forthcoming with but the behavior of the IRC’s proved it.
But there was no time for that, with the danger passed Fianna called FenFen to come back to her. As they flew into her arms she was just starting to see the grievous wounds the IRC’s arrow had caused the Pseudodragon and was horrified. Reaching into her Bag of Holding for a potion, Fianna saw the wounds already healing. She looked around quickly and spotted Mirica. “Thank you,” she called out to her friend as her familiar’s and her own wounds healed. She hugged FinFin closely for a moment and then looked around.
With FinFin crawling back to their normal place at the back of her neck, under her hood, Fianna kept a wary eye on the bedazzled orcs. It had been her experience that often one such was attacked the spell was broken and her new Dragonborn acquaintance didn’t seem to be restraining himself. “Jahren,” she called our, motioning towards the scene. “We all good?” She didn’t know the particulars of his magic but hopefully he did...
“I think they just expected easier prey,” Fianna said to Loane and anyone else listening. “I wouldn’t guess they’d be back tonight unless they had some strong reinforcements to return with close by. Still, changing camp to a different location might be wise...”
Mirica nodded to Fianna "If that was not enough - let me know. It is better to treat wounds properly in time".
She was watching Chen, grinding to dust remaining few precious orcs. "He probably can not even hear us." Not sure it would help but curious of effect Mirica whispered a few soft words Calm Emotions towards Chen.
Jahren watches all of the others with great interest, curious to see what he could learn about his new companions. He takes particular interest in Chen, but is not completely shocked that the otherwise gentle connoisseur has a wilder side. Jahren knew he was quite powerful, as one does not obtain and keep a belt such as his simply by generously sharing meals.
To Mirica's query the bard replies "that might take some convincing, but I can try" with some uncertainty in his voice.
Nodding confirmation to Fianna, Jahren then adds "for now." "I doubt they'll be so kind as to defend us forever..." He otherwise waits for Chen's rage to subside and others including Toc to chime in on what to do with the remaining orcs.
There are no words or even thoughts going through the barbarian's mind, just images and emotions, color and passion. Lifting his hammer from the last flattened orc, his wild eyes searching for the next target instead fall on a skinny elf creature with raised sword. There is a moment of hesitation as a warning registers in his mind, followed by a sudden yet soothing feeling of peace as Lathander's light fills his soul from the inside.
Chen blinks and looks around. He sees Toc before him with a rapier held threateningly. He feels a pain in his hip and sees a crossbow bolt still sticking out. He sees two crushed orcs beside him and more nearby. He notices the hammer in his hand, wet and sticky with blood and hair. Oh dear, he whimpers, dropping his weapon, falling to his knees and placing his face in his hands.
