Molo casts cure wounds on Kelnan for 5 hp and calls to him: “Get up and squash this fish face!” For a point of combat inspiration to Kelnan
(Thanks to Mage Armor only the bite hit, and Arcane Ward absorbed all the damage, so I'm not actually hurt yet. I'll skip the inspiration if you want to try something else)
Kelnan
Thanks to the smell that puts a summer day at the fish market to shame, as well as the strange creature thrashing about at him, Kelnan finds it difficult to aim effectively. Instead he grabs a handful of acid from the ether and throws it in the general direction of his attacker.
Katernin sprints across the hold, joining Dain in a frontal assault. With her axe and her floating, spectral vine, she manages to inflict two wounds on one of the brutes.
The dwarves continue defending their ship: Sailor #7 vs. Sahuagin #6 : Spear Attack: 12 Piercing damage: 2 Sailor #2 vs. Sahuagin #4 : Spear Attack: 23 Piercing damage: 7 Sailor #11 vs. Sahuagin #6 : Spear Attack: 20 Piercing damage: 7 Sailor #12 vs. Sahuagin #5 : Spear Attack: 16 Piercing damage: 2 Sailor #6 vs. Sahuagin #5 : Spear Attack: 12 Piercing damage: 5
The dwarven sailors manage to kill one and serious wound two more. The tide is turning.
Dain clobbers the spellcaster with a mighty blow. It hisses, staggers, and collapses. He similarly takes out the next one (#5) as well. The bodies are piling up.
And with that, the remaining sahuagin rapidly retreat to the stairs.
They slay sahuagin #6. Molo and Kelnan may get in an opportunity attack as well, on the sole remaining sahuagin marauder. After that, if there are combatants left, everyone but Dain may act.
((Since above suggests the last sahaugin is likely down, Fianna would quickly ask Fi’Finella what it looks like up on deck… then if all seemed well she’d tend to wounded, using last two spells to heal any fallen dwarves the healing would save.))
Molo cuts down the final sahuagin with his scimitar. Combat is over.
It's a horrible mess. Seven dwarven sailors lay dead on the deck in front of you, and and eighth is bleeding heavily from a nasty wound. The bodies of ten dead sahuagin are scattered with them.
The last of the dwarves from the hold below have made their way to your deck. They are reeling from the shock of this brazen attack in the middle of the night, and stand around in their night garments, clutching their spears, unsure what to do. Only the last to emerge from below wear their chain shirts.
There's a big mess on deck, too, according to Fi’Finella. Five dead sailors, plus two sahuagin bodies. Captain Windrune stands over the latter, in his underwear, with his bloodied longsword. He has suffered a serious wound himself. A couple of sahuagin escaped, diving back into the black ocean.
Fianna manages to heal one bleeding sailor, but the rest are too far gone to save.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Fianna will then throw her last Cure Wounds (2nd level) unto Dain for 4 healing. Fianna will then run to her room and put her armor on, relying upon Fi'Finella to observe what happens up on deck and relay anything important to her.
((That should have been 2d8, not 1d8... So Dain gets 6 plus 4 healing...))
Dain takes a deep, steadying breath as Fianna heals him. "Thanks, missie. That was a tough old fight. What by the Nine Hells were those sea devils after? Perhaps we'd best head up on deck and find the captain?"
He will take his maul and move carefully past all the bodies onto the deck to see the captain. "What does ye make o' that, captain? A random raid, or something more sinister?"
"They tried t' skewer me in my sleep!" says the bloodied captain to nobody in particular. The entire watch shift on deck had been taken by surprise and slaughtered. The original crew of thirty is now a crew of eighteen.
The captain assigns a new watch. The sahuagin bodies are gathered and unceremoniously dumped overboard. The dwarven bodies are gathered and covered with a tarp until the proper arrangements can be made. The survivors are mourning deeply and are very angry.
Hearing of the battle belowdecks, the captain, still wearing little but bloody underwear, politely thanks each of you for your help in staving off a complete disaster at the hands of the "sea devils". Such raids are not uncommon; the sahuagin are a dreaded menace at sea, explains the captain.
It is the middle of the night. The lookouts see no signs of the attackers, nor anything else of note.
Kelnan does his best to help clean up, but the smell and rolling seas make it difficult. He wanders the deck a bit, using Mending to repair the crew's equipment as needed and broken bits of the ship between retches, and eventually settles back into his trance in his cabin.
Dain is going to offer to help as best he can, but he's already nauseous and the stench of dead sahuagin is not helping. Still, he will aid as much as he can and then when there is clearly nothing more he can do, he will retire back to his cabin and try and get some rest.
Fianna is more concerned about getting into her armor and then getting as much rest as she can. If more of those things come again she wants to be back to her full spell abilities... But to help, both the ship and her party, she instructs Fi'Finella to do regular loops around the ship, down close to the water, looking out for any signs of more of these creatures, for the rest of the night.
A sad and tense night follows, with no sleep for anyone. Fi'Finella keeps a careful watch, but the sahuagin do not appear again. Dawn breaks to cold gray skies and a vast, empty horizon.
The captain is determined to continue the mission. He chalks this up to bad luck - sahuagin have been known to attempt this sort of attack. Although Windrune has crossed paths with sahuagin before, he never been subject to an assault on this scale. "Sahuagin worship th' shark god, Sekolah," lectures Windrune. "They can command sharks with their minds. You never want t' hunt a sahuagin in th' water."
They are preparing to bury the dead crew at sea today. The captain asks Katernin to assist with the services, as they have no clerics or religious types left among them - the only crewmember with any religious training was among the victims of the attack.
Dain will offer his services to help however he can. He is a devout worshipper of Moradin, but even if the dwarves do not follow the same god, he'll be there to aid however possible.

Acid Splash: 6 damage, DC 14 Dex save to avoid
Oh. If I can take that back then, I’ll have Molo attempt to tackle the Sahuagin in front of him to the ground then

still take the inspiration, Kelnan, it’s good for lots of stuff.

Molo tries to tackle the Sahuagin. (Is that a grapple? Shouldn't that be at +1?) Contesting Strength check: 2
Molo easily takes down the clumsy sea monster. It is now grappled.
It is prone and at least temporarily restrained as well. (Molo is also now prone.)
Meanwhile, Kelnan tries to dissolve its face:
Dex save (at disadvantage): 4
It squirms violently, hissing and spitting in Molo's face, as the acid does its nasty work.
Katernin is up next!
Katernin and her spiritual whip rush down towards the dwarfs fighting more of these creatures. They both swing at the nearest one.

Dain is up.
Dain is going to try and destroy the spell-caster. He attacks recklessly, trying to smash its skull in (no power attack).
Attack: 25 Damage: 33
(due to his critical hit he gets an automatic bonus attack. I'm assuming the spell-caster is dead, if not the second attack will be on him)
He then moves on to the right, bringing him up behind #5 who he tries to smash in one blow.
Bonus Attack, Reckless with Power Attack: 20 Damage: 31
