To Nara: You would have had to leave Grianne's reach anyhow to get at Xeno. I moved to J1.

Having said that, you could have gotten an attack of opportunity, and maybe forced out another Shield assuming its not a crit.

Giant constrictor snake only has 30 feet of movement. Nara is 50 feet away according to the map.

I must have miscalculated how far away I was. I'll have to take back my attack as even with reach it wouldnt be in range and I'll dodge instead. 

Round 3:

Xeno controls Kenny to target Nara, but she is able to avoid the hit using the walls for cover. Before he moves out of Nara's reach and thrusts a bolt of chaos toward her, but fails to land the hit. (Nara may take the opportunity.)

Griannaconda slithers ahead, but can't reach her quarry.

Nara moves (presumably) to Grianne and lashes out with spaghetti? Grianne tried to dodge but Nara lands three blows just the same.

As the strongest contenders in the Coliseum continue their battle, aggressive enemies burst from the ground to add interest to the battle. However, these are very large and il-suited to that purpose...

Two ancient constructs burst from the battlefield scarring the earth where they emerged. Some of the competitors have seen these foes in battle before. Only then they didn't move about. They didn't go on the offensive. They didn't glow a malevolent magenta hue around their eyes and joints... They didn't attack bystanders...

The ancients emerge and immediately move to strike at the nearest life, they crush the bleechers to splinters and people cry out in fear, fleeing the scene... But they're surrounded...

Around the battlefield and within the school, a familiar sound from long ago proceeds approaching enemies. An awkward rhythmic clicking sound, the gait of multi-legged metal beings, the droning hum of tiny wings, Drones...

Without the opportunity to rest or heal, the competitors find themselves suddenly in a very different battle than they'd expected. You each arrive starting at the Fighting Grounds in zone 1 or 2:

Not sure how 'reasonable' that suggestion is, but Xeno is quite Mad.

That said, would it immediately end due to the interruption, or assumed in his madness that the surprise ancients yet means the match is continuing on?

Elspeth emerges from where she had taken cover nearby. She clears her throat cutting through the sudden stillness, as if expecting something of the fighters who were interrupted.

".... That was one hell'uva commercial break! But back to the show, right?" Xeno looks positively excited at everyone else, rubbing his hands gleefully. "C'mon, it'll be fun! Right Kenny? That's right!" He declared, more than happy to continue the fight.

Will we at least be allowed a short rest like the level 5 match? Or is that up to Futuristic or whoever takes up the reigns?

"Indeed, my dear, indeed! In fact, I see one horned one right there!" Xeno the mad points his staff at Nara. It appears he changed his mind on taking a break, assuming he had it made up to begin with! "Let's go, Genny! We have constructs here to defeat for the glory of the empire!"

As Elspeth is momentarily distracted by the arrival and subsequent talks of Marmaduke over the situation that just transpired, Xeno tries to make a move on his opponents! Unfortunately for Xeno and Grianne, his opponents are quicker on the draw!

As the announcers scramble to get things back in order, only the scrying magics are activated in time for what  is now Swigg and Nara's Turn for Round 1, er, 6... 7!?  -- Round 1: Electric Bagaloo!!

"It really is a shame our match got interrupted Xeno. I want to take you down. You see Grianne and I may be rivals but you and I have beef. I'm still not over that joke of a championship fight. If Grianne and the gods would have it I would love to fight just you. You can keep your fancy title win or lose. I say we give ourselves a proper long rest, let our trades go off, and we come back as soon as we are fully equipped and ready. What say you Xeno the Madmanthing?"

Although bit put off his game by the abrupt change of heart, Xeno props his staff up to lean on to listen. "First off, it is Xeno the Mad, thank you very much. Not sure how it started, but I've grown quite find of it, I must it. Cheerios to whatever fine gentleman likely was responsible for that, I do say! Secondly, I do recall having offered a sort of truce in that fight, in which we settled things like proper gentleman, met in the center, and do battle using but our melee weapon of choice and our wits. Twice. To which you refused, and fail prey perhaps to a most cruel but no less fair tactic than your own game of hide and go seek. So forgive me if I find your assessment of calling it a joke to be the mere bitter words of a sore loser." 

"And thirdly, provided you can swear off using that charming tongue of yours from taking advantage of old dewey-" He taps the side of his head with the staff. "-here, for you had him going with there a while I think before that little interruption, then certainly. I'm sure the academy has some training rooms we can yet borrow, and not have us deal with all this other riff-raff." He gesticulate offhandedly at Nara and Grianneconda. "Or speak to those in charge about arranging a mock battle, if you so wish. I'll face you any time you wish after things here are concluded, Green Lad."

Swigg scrunches up his face as he tries to process Xeno's words. "My first response is you should be honored I am choosing to remember your name at all. The fact that I am having fun with it should be rather telling. You inspire me to say the least. Second response, I admit I am bitter,  I admit I lost, but you did not take me down. That game of hide and seek as you call it has a thousand names in goblin tongue. It is the breath upon which our culture has survived in an openly hostile environment. They say they our Gods are dead, no, they are hiding!" Swigg struggles to control his temper but finds a way to exhale.  "I digress. I came here to be a contender and sharpen this ancient technique against the many foul trappings of this universe. In short, I want a rematch. Lastly, I agree to those terms, but as an illusionist I cannot promise to leave your mind entirely alone. Deal." 

Swigg turns to Nara and Grianne. "Now if events here are indeed concluded you are all welcome to dinner at my home, the library by the smoking crater outside of town. My Lady has been asking me to invite work friends over so... here it is. Guests are welcome but byob and or a dish."

Swigg will exit if nothing else happens.
