Saravena gives Maerys a nod of thanks before turning to the last remaining skeleton, raises her crossbow, and takes a shot at it.

The powerful shot from Saravena's crossbow sails through the air whistling as it does. However, the skeleton brings its shield up and blocks the crossbow bolt. A sound of metal being struck echoes through the room, before the bolt falls to the floor.

Smiling at the miss, Tagret follows up with another strong swing of his might axe

Tagret moves closer and finishes the skeleton of with a swing of his axe.

With a quiet "Humph - wasn't expecting that - let's move quickly now - move out of sight of this door" Tagret indicates the door he was listening at and returns to open it once the others are out of line of sight, stepping to the side himself to provide some cover in case the 'noise' he heard was someone hostile, 

As Tagret opens the door, he sees a long room on the other side. The room is partitioned into three areas, with iron bars walling off the north and south. Filthy straw lines the floors of those cells, the hinged doors of which are secured by chains and padlocks. A pair of dishevelled human women are held in the cell to the south, while a human boy is confined to the north. All are dressed in plain grey tunics and have iron collars fitted around their necks.

A heap of discarded clothing is piled carelessly against the far wall. Then he steps to the side out of sight of the doorway.

Saravena clicks her tongue at the bolt striking the skeleton's shield but gives a light smile at the ease Tagret seems to have at dispatching it after. She nods at Tagret's instruction before sheathing her dagger and loading another bolt onto her crossbow keeping it level at the doorway in anticipation of something coming out.

Disturbed at the sight, he only gives it a couple of seconds before rounding back around the door frame and takes in the scene before him.  Quickly checking if there are any Red Brands in the room, and assuming that there are none, quickly sheathes his axe whilst bringing his finger up to his lips to signal quiet.  Then he turns to the Saravena and Maerys and quietly says "Prisoners, see what you can do for them, I will see what is behind the other door"

 As soon as he turns around to speak to Saravena and Maerys the two bandits waiting in flank of the spring out surprising him.

"Shit" grunts Tagret, his mountain breeding turning the painful strikes into mere annoyances, and spinning back in Rage (bonus action), ripping his Great Axe out and swinging hard at the closest, attacking recklessly.

Divine Fury 6

In a fit of rage and fury, Tagret attacks recklessly with his great axe and cleaves the head of the bandit to his left clean off. 

In retaliation the second bandit attacks Tagret with his shortsword twice more.

"Tagret!" Saravena shouts seeing the two men appear from the darkness behind him. Watching as Tagret quickly dispatches one Saravena drags the palm of her left hand across the tip of the bolt loaded in her crossbow deep enough to draw blood (taking 1 damage). She then spreads the blood from her hand across the bow of her weapon which a moment later begins to crackle with scarlet lightning as Saravena activates her Crimson Rite (bonus action), taking aim she fires a bolt at the remaining bandit.

Crossbow Attack: 15 Damage: 8

Rite of Storm: 4 lightning damage

The bolt files through the air, through the open door striking the bandit in the back. He yells out in pain as the bold pierces his flesh and then is electrocuted.
