Rashana opens her eyes from the meditation. She puts her head out from the wagon and looks at the surrounding. "We haven't there yet. Where are we now? If I may ask."

"We are not quite there yet but we should be soon," Saravena replies, "What are your thoughts on city living Rashana? Tagret says there is nothing good about it; Damian, Eniwin, and I disagree with that, but what about you?"

Then suddenly you notice something lying down in the middle of the road ahead of you blocking the path.

Eniwin's ears perks up at the sound of Damian's remarks. She has always wanted to try her hand at a bit of enchanting though she hasn't had any real experience with it. As she thinks she looks ahead to try and discern what is in their way.

Perception: 2

"Haha Yeah I am curious Rashana, what do you do?  I can see that you  meditate a lot." Following Saravena Damian will also ask Rashana a question. However when Damian see Eniwin squint her eyes forward Damian will also look ahead.

Perception: 22

OOC: Can you describe the surroundings, eg is it an open path, or are there trees and boulders etc that close it in.  Trying to understand whether there are any areas that might provide cover for someone trying to ambush the wagon.  And how far ahead is the figure lying in the road, I would assume it would be 100-200 feet?

Tagret tenses and drops down into a crouch, instantly looking left and right, looking for any signs of trouble "Stay a ways behind us and be alert....Rashana lets go and check it out"  and Tagret stalks forward, looking for anything untoward in the surrounding area, javelin at the ready should an attack come their way.  Tagret will approach using cover if available so as not to present an easy target for a bowman and also indicating to Rashana (if she comes forward) to spread out and approach from the other side of the road (looking to maintain a distance of over 20 feet between them)

Perception 9

Stealth 5 => you can tell that Tagret is perhaps a little bit out of his element away from the mountains.....

Saravena pulls the cart to a stop then draws and readies her hand crossbow while scanning the area for any more oddities.

Rashana is about to say something but it comes to a halt as she sees something blocking the road.

She nods to Tagret then jumps down the wagon and creeps behind him.

At this momenet, she feels a little tickle behind the back of her head. "I know. It isn't something good." She mutters to herself as she is following behind Tagret.

Perception 11

Stealth 9

By the wagon, to left and right there is nothing by the fields of grass. You can see as far your eye can see. However, up ahead the Triboar Trail is leading into the woods. The trees are densely lined along the trail. The trees are casting shadows over the road and blocking the sunlight on the trail.

You have just travelled around a bend in the road that has given you a better angle at seeing along the trail and into the woods. This has allowed you to spot the shape in the road, which starts off at a hundred meters away. Though as you draw closer you all can start to make better sense of what you are seeing. You realise that it is not just one shape but two.

Seeing that there are two shapes lying in the road Tagret starts to get concerned, knowing that the dwarf Gundren Rockseeker set out ahead of the party with his armed escort Sildar Hallwinter, particularly given the trees will provide plenty of places to hide and set an ambush.  From this distance, can Tagret determine whether one of the shapes might be dwarf sized, and just to be safe, whilst holding his javelin, he also unslings his Great Axe "There may be trouble ahead...." he says back to the other now much more interested in the tree line "best be off the wagon and ready....Rashana and I will keep an eye out for danger, someone else needs to investigate.....perhaps get behind the wagon as cover as you approach"  

Seeing the figures and Target taking charge, Damian will begin to chant and pray. Damian's mace begins to glow slightly "Let's do this. I am with you Target." He will will take the left flank with mace and shield.

"Got it," Saravena pulls the cart to a stop on the side of the road and hops off. Keeping her crossbow ready Saravena follows Damian but keeps about fifteen feet between them.

Rashana crouches behind a bush and takes out her Bo readying her stance.

 As you draw even closer, you realise that you are looking at the dead bodies of two horses. The bodies are full of arrows.

Damian seeing the horses will bend down and check the horses to see how long they were hit.

Medicine: 15

Seeing the dead horses, and Damian approaching them, Tagret speaks up "Look for signs of a dwarf, shortened stirrups perhaps?" (OOC: He only says this if any saddles are still on the dead horses), all the while he is scanning the forest ahead of them, looking for signs of any bowmen specifically, be it hiding behind trees or perched in them.

Perception 12

Saravena follows Damian to the horses, looking at the scene tries to figure out who might the riders have been and what could have attacked them.

Investigation 8

Eniwin keeps an eye out from the cart for any possible signs of danger.
