she speaks to her posse, and they come out bearing your equipment and tools. "you say your heading to Gullykin? you won't make it there alive. there are hidden dangers in these woods. however, we have been known to trade with the inhabitants of Gullykin, and therefore we have a back entrance. a sort of cellar. we have not traded for many years, as an infestation of spiders have taken up residence. if you are brave enough you may take this route. if you take out a few of the buggers, then it will be less of a headache for us."

Sivir takes his equipment back, re-dressing and making sure everything is in order. As he does, he responds to the hobgoblin, "Spiders should be easy enough to deal with. I'd much rather that and a clear path than a trek through a pathless forest. What can you tell us of these spiders?"
Elrodin equally re-equips himself with all of his gear, shifting around until comfortable in his long leather coat, saber on one hip and hand-crossbow on the other. He also listens intently at the hobgoblin as she speaks of Gullykin, back doors, and spiders.
The High Elf reaches into his coat, producing the map that they acquired, reassessing what it shows.
(ooc: @DM, how has the map changed since we’ve been asleep? We’ve missed three days, correct? So Gullykin’s number is something like six days? I’m also assuming the dark cloud has now taken over more of the map?)
Placing the magical parchment back into his coat as Sivir finishes speaking. “Agreed. Thanks to our gracious hosts, we have lost time in dealing with this Lich, so we should get to Gullykin by this hidden route. Spiders or no spiders” he says with an air of bitterness in his voice, which he does not attempt to hide. Nonetheless, he looks directly at the hobgoblin before speaking again, “... what do you know about any of these things we have told you? Liches, undead, ooze, and the like. It seems to me that we’d be helping you out by clearing these spiders, what information can you provide to help us in return...?”
"Thing t' squish bes spiders," Kronk says eagerly. "Squishin' som'pin Kronk want, mad he is at done things to us. No livers, no gold, Kronk pisted!" He looks toward the pile of their equipment and lumbers to it, carefully separating things; "Kronks, Kronks nots, Kronks, Kronks nots..."
After re-equipping himself he grins fiercely, "NOW Kronk ready, livers hunting, heh, heh."
@Elrodin. correct. it now shows 6 days, 4 hours, however the black mist has barely moved.
"there you go then." she walks over to one of the levers next to the cage and pulls it. a hidden door swings open and you see steps leading down into a cellar. "one other thing....if.....if you meet the blacksmith Jorgen, tell him Gerta sent you, he might give you a discount. Best blades in the whole of the land.....tell him I'm sorry. Tell him I wish it was different"
she gestures for you to leave, then walks away, her boys falling in line behind her. she seems to be leaning on her staff even more than before.

With his Darkvision, Elrodin simply follows Tulip down into the darkness, faintly illuminated by the Gnome’s torch, his one hand held loose but ready next to his now-comfortably-holstered hand-crossbow.

Mamma Chan wants to kick that staff out from under her so badly. seething with anger at her mistreatment she falls in line and moves out. still hungry with cantrips only in her head.

Sivir, now re-equipped with his belongings, follows through into the caves, neither happy or unhappy with what transpired. He hangs back just a little, allowing his dark vision to watch ahead but also in any nooks and crannies that they pass and keeping as quiet as possible (Perception: 20; Stealth: 18).
"Mam Chan, behind Kronk, placing goodly bes," Kronk rumbles. "Him goodly walling bes, heh, heh! Fortress frightful, bes Kronk!" His ugly visage splits in a broad, and frightful, grin and he shakes his iron bar in a meaningful manner. "Hole wes droppin' ints, spider huntin', funishly squishin' spiders wes being."
the group descends down a set of rickety stairs, until you reach what appears to be an abandoned tunnel. It seems to stretch on for miles, until It fades into darkness. the only light you have is the light of the room behind you, but that quickly fades as the door is closed behind you. those with Darkvision can see smaller tributary tunnels, leading off from the main tunnel, and rotting spiderwebs are strewn across the walls.

Torch raised ahead of me I carry on marching along as I hum a little ditty under by breath,
Dennis the donkey packed his trunk and said goodbye to the zombies,
Off he went with a clumpety clump, clump, clump, clump.
