T'chal'fronack'zcinicker's bolt strikes true, sinking beyond the Mezzoloth's natural armour with a wet suction. The beast gurgles it's wails of pain.

As if time stands still, waiting, it was as if the creature would not, or could not, wait any more. The fluids and acids rolling around, mixing in the creatures throat begins to bubble, then steam. Soon a cloud of gas starts bellowing from it's orifices. A sphere of poisonous, yellow-green fog fills the room, spreading around corners.

Con ST VS DC11for half Poison Damage: 13
When a creature enters the spell's area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, that creature must make a Constitution saving throw. The creature takes 5d8 poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Creatures are affected even if they hold their breath or don't need to breathe.

"By the gods! Oh! This is worse than me mumz crop dusting after a cheesy sandwich!"Flux complained while waving a hand through the air. Seeing, however, that was enough to keep the gas out, he'd eventually start trying to make his way into the chamber proper and draw his warhammer, aiming to smash himself a bug-a-roo! That is, if he could even get close enough to see it/escape the gas!
Movement: Full 30 if need be to get into melee.
Action: Smashing Timing on Mr. Bug Guard. (Melee, Lethal,One-Handed)Warhammer - Attack: 21 Damage: 3 of nonmagical bludgeoning.

Ebele did not see it coming. She goes to inhale a fresh breath to launch into her attacks, only to gulp back a mouthful of concentrated egg salad flavoured poison. She coughs, chokes and wheezes as her sensitive senses are set ablaze. The monk tries to regain her composure. However instead of moving into calculated positions and poise, she brings down her staff to wail desperately on the Mezzoloth like a housewife/husband beating a dead spider.
In the wake of the insects full and hopefully the cloud of death funk it summoned, Flux immediately rushed over to pick Ebele up in a celebratory hug. Try to, in any event, before likely paying some price or another for it. Regardless, just so long as he remained consciousness to still laugh and enjoy the moment, then he'd certainly do so with a surprising gusto. "Alrighty then! Enough celebrating for a moment. Unless any of you have a mind to study the decor for whatever reason, do we be heading down then? Doubt we'll necessarily run into our missing dwarves as no sign thus far has pointed towards their captors. But if'n the rest of ya be of a mind to do just that bit more explore'n in hopes of maybe getting better direction or some other such, then...Best we keep cracking on, ya?"

Backing away and breathing some (relatively) clean air, Kerric gestures towards the artwork on the walls and says, “This certainly looks like a Dwarven caravan route,” as he looks down the steps into the darkness.
Looking back at the demon body, he assesses the quality of its strange forked weapon it was holding.

T'chal'fronack'zcinicker coughs his way out of the cloud of poison and then mutters to himself, "There's a reason Devils and Demons don't get along. No sense of etiquette!"
He brushes himself clean and then looks about...and pulls out his ledger and begins scribbling. "Well....I suppose this might lead us to dwarves, though I'd be surprised if some evil doers abducted some dwarves from a caravan, only to take them to an old dwarven hold under the ground. Unless! Unless the abductors are themselves dwarves." He glances around, and taps his nose in a knowing way....winking at the group, before heading to the top of the stairway and looking down briefly, before striding down as if he owned the place.

Ebele’s body tenses up as she’s unexpectedly swooped up. She was fully prepared to SING (Solarplex, Instep, Nose and Groin) when her senses cleared enough for a more familiar scent hits her nose. The monk stops short of hurling her elbow into her companions gut and concedes to his enthusiasm. “Ya know, if you had tentacles, I’d have mercilessly dropped you…” She comments prior to a soft low chuckle leaving her from the man’s infectious, and unrelenting, jubilant. Ebele would basically limp her limbs and allow him to rag doll her a bit until he’d release her.
Kerric’s consistent and thorough inspections of all the weapons they come across their opponents makes this next one simple and easy. As exciting as it would be to discover something as unique as the leader’s trident, this one was nothing special. The Mezzolith carried an average trident. The only thing unique about it was that it was of similar material to its own natural armour.
Collecting himself, T'chal'fronack'zcinicker confidently strides ahead first down the stairs. At the base of the stairs a low, thin mist clings to the floor of this cave, and the walls glisten with moisture. A waterfall gushes out of the wall of this large cave, filling a swirling pool and then coursing through a passage through the north. This stream is located to the east (and runs north). To the west, there is a fork in the path. One could continue straight WEST, or north WEST.
(Edit: I boogered directions, because Never Eating Soggy Watermelons is hard *facepalm*)

Though Flux hadn't doubted Ebele's claims, he still chuckled if more sheepishly so upon eventually setting Ebele down to address everyone. "Dwarves abducting dwarves?!"He said incredulously at the tiefling. But after a moment or two, he snorts and mutters a "maybe", yet still didn't sound entirely convinced by his own acquience.
Regardless, just as soon as the all clear is given, he'd happily join the others down to the next level. "Ahh~ Now this is nice. This is very, very nice~ Reminds me almost of me childhood." Flux takes a deep breathe through his nose. "Smells almost like it too! Maybe, uh... bah! Unless ya be wanting to try walk on the stream first, seeing as there be no boat about, I'd just be feeling it best try the other paths first."He carried on, if a bit more absentmindedly while scanning the ground for any obvious tracks.
