Ebele's hand found her face. Between Reghys and T'chal'fronack'zcinicker she was starting to question her own perception of the situation until Kerric would set things straight.
When the constable would mention the specific names again, the monk would touch her nose before pointing in his general the direction. "That's what I meant about names. I mean the Bringers of Woe, was hard to forget." She'd try to stifle a chuff of amusement. "I don't think we asked for their personal names..." She'd whisper under her breath to herself before shrugging. T was right though. They did try to reason with them first. The deputies will figure it out for them.
Ebele too would have desired to wait for everyone else to go first before realizing that T'chal'fronack'zcinicker was waiting on her. She'd stutter her steps before following behind Kerric. With her ears growing tired from having to listen for so many people at once, the elven warrior was the easiest to hear without Reghys. He was also the most wounded. The monk would remain on guard and be sure to escort the others back to the inn when they leave. She had not commented one way or the other because she intended to complete additional training before bedding for the night. Ebele had too much energy and adrenaline from this evening left to expel.
Not having anything to add to the conversation and thinking it best not to confuse things by adding his own spin Xalkas simply nods with the findings of the ‘floating room’ and pads along quietly with his companions back to the inn. Quite content to take up the rear of the column.
On their walk back to the Inn, T'chal'fronack'zcinicker approaches Ebele, "It is a pleasure working with you. You make a fine co-worker. I am starting to think that, even with that bandage over your eyes, you see better than most of us. Thanks for putting yourself on the line." He pulls out his notepad and puts a check mark next to something. He wanders over to Xalkas, "I find your interest in properly and scientifically evaluating the truth most valuable. I am pleased to have you to bounce ideas off of. Most clever figuring out the weight required to trigger those rocks. Looking forward to continuing to associate with you." He checks something off on his notepad. He walks over to Reghys, "You outplayed me this last evening at the Inn. Most clever. I'm pleased to have your sharp wit and unexpected approach to problems along with us." He checks something off and walks over to Kerric. He walks next to him for a few moments, adjusting his sword on his belt and checking his hand crossbow's trigger. Eventually he clears his throat, nods to the elf, and walks away, checking something off on his paper.
Once they reach the entrance to the Inn, he turns to the group, "Ardent Alliance, let me say, for folk who were strangers the day before, we've done good work together. A fine set of co-workers we indeed make. I think that we fulfilled the very letter of our unwritten contract, that, of course, shall soon be surely written, and have enriched ourselves, and those around us with our success. I look forward to continuing to work with you tomorrow under a more formal agreement. As my unwritten duties require, I will of course work to get the best value for our various riches and divide the spoils up amongst us tomorrow, minus the cost of a dagger to Ebele. I will also work my hardest to ensure we formalize our working arrangement with the constable and the town. The bringers of woe were more than just a few folk underground I suspect, and we've yet to unravel the source of this unauthorized evil activity." He checks off something on his notepad. He turns and makes his way into the Inn and up to his room.
--------------------
Once upstairs in his dark room, he writes a full report, in triplicate, forwarding the report in the approved manner to Corporate keeping them apprised of the situation. As of yet he has no requests for further resources from procurement, but ensures that he will continue to seek out the source of the unauthorized evil activity. He fills in a license for the right to use lethal force during the course of his investigations, dating the request form back one day, and submits it via the usual channels. He fills in a permit request for ability to act on Corporates behalf during the next ten day in and around the area of the Dessarin Valley.
Once done, he begins carefully crafting an open, simple contract in quintuplicate.
He sighs heavily, uncramping his hand when he's done, carefully putting everything away. He checks the locks on his room, using pitons to jam everything closed. He loads his crossbow and places it on the table next to him, then finally, lays down and goes to sleep, lying on his side, his large leathery wings folding with a dry crinkle as he quickly finds rest.
--------------------
The next morning T'chal'fronack'zcinicker awakes at 8am with barely 6 hours of rest. He packs up all his belongings and then heads downstairs. He nods in a business like fashion to any Ardent Alliance members he spots, but, grabbing a sandwich and slamming back a mug of juice, he plans to quickly head out and start pricing and selling their hard fought loot.
Reghys, inwardly very glad indeed that the constable had no more questions for them that evening, makes a point of walking near Xalkas on their way back: "Now, I've been wondering about this for most of my life, but I know that my music and my words carry power... I've been able to put both men and rats to sleep with my lullaby, for example. You're studied in the arts of magic, can you explain to me why that happens? And in particular what I might be able to do to use my lyrical powers not only to convince, but for other things as well? Mind if I try something?"
With that, Reghys starts stomping a wild rhythm with their hooves, and claps along to it to form an ample percussive sound.
"Burning heat lost all control Everywhere you just can't hide Spreading out it's nationwide
Hot metal, turning you around Hot metal, burning you down Hot metal, gets in your brain I'm feeling pain, from hot metal
Infesting cities one by one Clenching fists, damage done"
As soon as his tune starts to hit the first few chords, the dagger around Xalkas' belt starts to hiss in it's scabbard, before rapidly becoming red glowing hot.
As Reghys finishes, and the cast off dagger slowly cools off, they can't help but smile, impressed: "Cool! That might come in handy..."

Upon the walk home Ebele was silent, though she appreciated T'chal'fronack'zcinicker taking the moment to praise her, even if he was checking off a box on his list. It didn’t stop a small smirk from appearing on her face. The monk also enjoyed the brief break from static noise when Reghys would pipe up with another tune. Even if it was for experiment and not pleasure, her ears were delighted. And whether he intended it or not, it pumped her up a little for her planned training.
When stopped at the entrance of the inn, Ebele would stand and listen politely to T'chal'fronack'zcinicker addressing the group. When he was done, her head would turn in his direction with a slight smile appearing on her face. “Who are the Ardent Alliance?” The monk would also start patting herself down with a little extra exaggeration, then she’d lift her hands to offer T to search. “There is no dagger on my person, unless I am to figuratively find one in my back? And here I was contemplating giving you a raise from my share.” Her head would tilt slightly again as if she were attempting to wink at the tiefling in an attempt to poke fun at their obviously tired academic.
“Common now. Let’s get yous to bed.” The blonde would take a moment to find the handle before she’d open the door to the inn and hold it open for everyone, ushering them in. Ebele would stand at the door, waiting and listening for everyone to make their way to their rooms. Specifically their wounded warrior and mentally drained tiefling. Xalkas and Reghys still seemed to have a little pep left. She imagined they wouldn’t chance going too far though. With her hands on her hips, once she was satisfied with others being relatively safe from here, she would nod and take her leave out of the establishment.
T'chal'fronack'zcinicker mutters under his breath, making some adjusting notes, "My mistake....I'll just correct that here..and my mistake again, Argent...damn...maybe an improvement plan...adjust some personal goals...." He wanders into the Inn scribbling and muttering.

Coming down for breakfast, he waits for at least some of the others to join so they can discuss their plans for the day—there is still the location outside of town where the Cultists have been sighted (Lance Rock), but if the delegation passes through town today, they may be needed here...
