With the thoughts of the phrase running through his mind, Hawke would eventually have found sleep in his cat form...
Only to promptly wake up 8 hours later in his human form, high up on the beams in which he climbed up before. "I can't be mad. T'chal'fronack'zcinicker does what he can to help as he speaks, entering into a detailed diatribe that is clearly near and dear to his heart, "Well, I'm glad you asked. You know that people enter into contracts all the time, every day, it's just many of these contracts not written, or even sometimes they are unspoken! Most of these contracts people in civilized places follow because of social pressure and don't even realize it. For example, the bar tender agrees to serve someone food and to be paid later. The customer agrees that they have enough money to pay for what they're ordering, and will pay after. Now, depending on where you are, these norms change. If you are from another place entirely, what is expected may be quite different. So, the advantage of a contract is that it makes very clear what expectations are from both parties in any situation, without relying on local social knowledge, so that people don't get upset later when their expectations of how things should work are not met. Once you start looking into these social exchanges, you realize that you really shouldn't take any of it for granted, and that it's just better for everyone if all the details are laid out...in...um...detail." *ahem* He clears his throat, pausing in mid diatribe....then continues. "Not to mention that if a contract is for longer than a few moments, people's brains are elastic and every changing. You think that guy you just saw walk past had blue pants? Or were they red? Did you tell that guy yesterday you'd do this or that? Who can say? If it's written down, then we don't have to rely on people's brains making all sorts of mistakes and causing yet more social discomfort." He smiles at Hawke, proud to have been able to relay at least a small basic portion of the purpose of contracts to yet another ignorant soul.

Sleep didn't come easy, Ebele was unsettled and moved a lot. Every creek, every hush, every pin drop, she stirred. Though, eventually the ale and exhaustion did their thing and she was pulled further into the darkness of REM, that final blink before you wake, only, light never came. The monk had spent nights in her mask now. She couldn't tell whether she was more disoriented, or her other senses were that much more heightened. Either way, she was restless and make her way out in the morning as soon as possible.
Ears twitching she could swear she could hear familiar voices coming from the stables as she passed. Telling by the tones of their speech, Ebele would giggle to herself figuring everything was safe from the night and she'd leave those two be. Continuing on her way, the sounds of an early morning routine would catch her hearing. Hoping she wasn't interrupting a personal session, the monk would tiptop in an opposite direction to find herself a little quiet corner to train as well. Inspired by Kerric, she'd stick to a basic morning warmup as well.
Tempted to lift the veil from her face, Ebele would take a breath and fall into her routine. Squats, lunges, burpees, push ups and planking. She started to feel the shadows of anxiety begin to lift. A small smile would grow on her face when she'd hear the the pitter patter of familiar steps coming towards her. The monk would pick herself up off the ground and dust her hands off. Guess it was a good time for breakfast.
Xalkas, Ebele couldn't see your plans when you'd present them to her, but she was happy to listen to you tell her about it as you returned back to the Inn together. You met back up with the rest of the group all around the same time at the table. Picking over breakfast, you discuss that there's potential in finding some materials here, or in Womford at the least. It might depend on how good of friends T'chal'fronack'zcinicker might make with the bartender.
When Reghys would question whether to strike to gather information. Ebele would nod along with Kerric's suggestion to investigate the riverfront. "I agree we should lighten our load before continueing our path on to Womford to look into these traders at the docks." She'd pull her plate closer to her to help herself to some bacon. Kerric was right once again, the good was good.
The bartender would finish dropping off the plates of food and turn to look at T'chal'fronack'zcinicker. “‘Ere fer the weapons and goods. Books, Womford.” He’d gesture with his head for the tiefling to follow him back to the bar. “Whatcha got? T'chal'fronack'zcinicker cracks his knuckles and pulls out a sheaf of paper, "Let's see here, let's see....well...we have 4 black iron breast plates and 4 longswords, all in pretty good condition..." The bartender lets out a soft snort when the tiefling pulls out a sheaf of paper. Gunna be one of those.
From his table Nalashkar would have a smirk tug at his lips as T'chal'fronack'zcinicker starts rhyming off the well catalogued goods. He could respect that. The half-elf would nod to the bartender when their eyes would meet.
"A'ight. Come teh my office." The burly man would jerk his head and walk out from behind the bar, leading T'chal'fronack'zcinicker to a room at the far end. Using a set of keys, he'd unlock the door and open it. With a gesture of his large arm, he'd allow the tiefling to stride in first. There was a large workbench in the center of the room with additional shelving and equipment behind the workspace. Off to the right looks to be a small armoury with another stash of other miscellaneous supplies. There was a single bed butted up against the other side of the room against the wall. A simple one nightstand stood beside the bed and a trunk at the foot of it.
Once T'chal'fronack'zcinicker was inside, the man would follow, leaving the door open. He'd walk around to stand behind the bench. "Show me what you got."
