Damara heads back to her home to rest for the remainder of the day and night. Go ahead and click on the Long Rest button, Damara (unless you decide to come out of your home sooner than the next 8 hours.)
Aeneas, Moneo, and (presumably?) Caradoc all head to Grigoris's Merchantile. As the door opens, a bell hanging above the door on the inside of the structure jingles letting the owner know that someone has entered. From the back of the store and out of sight, you hear the voice of a middle-aged man say, "Oh! One second! I'll be right there in just a moment," then you hear the sounds of items being shuffled around and feet side shuffling along the dusty wooden floors.
After a moment, a disheveled looking human male with medium-length brown hair that you can tell is normally fairly well combed, but currently looks messy, brown experienced eyes, and an awkward smile. His clothes look professional, yet worn - think: lawyer from old westerns - gray vest on top of a long-sleeved white shirt and long gray slacks. Looking at the three of you, he says, "So, what brings you three fine..." he pauses very briefly when he realizes that there is a non-human in the group, "people here today?" His facial expression when his eyes landed on the satyr changed almost imperceptibly. You don't get the impression that he's going to cause any problems for Moneo, but you also feel like maybe he isn't the most comfortable around non-humans.
Clearing his throat, Aeneas steps forward. "I'm in the market for certain long-range weaponry. Depending on what you have to offer," he says looking around, "I may consider more quiet armor instead."

Moneo pretends to not notice his discomfort and makes no effort to hide the clack clack of his cloven feet on the floor, takes off his leather armor, setting it on the counter, and asks “How much to either trade this in for some studded armor, or add some studs to it? Also, who around here might be the best at dealing with animal hide? I’d like something made if possible.”
Grigori looks at each of you in turn always with a polite smile, even if he did give his discomfort away. Addressing the group, he says, "Well, I don't make or alter anything here. I just procure and provide it. We have a variety of long-range weapons for sale, as well as various types of armor." Looking specifically to Aeneas, he says, "If you're wanting something more quiet, I would recommend leather armor - something lighter, yes? For something in the Light class of armor, it will cost you 45 gold. For the weapons, the cost depends on what you're looking for, specifically."
Then, he looks to the armor that Caradoc placed on the counter and he contemplated it for a few minutes. "This is interesting, indeed. Where did you happen across this? This medium breastplate is reinforced with adamantine, one of the hardest substances in existence. I've heard that getting hit while wearing it feels like being hit with straw pillows." Then, getting a sly smile on his face, he says, "but, it's dingy and damaged. I'd be willing to buy it, but it's not worth much."
Then, finally getting to Moneo, he says, "As I mentioned, I don't make or alter things here, but I do have some studded leather armor for sale. Looking at the condition of yours, I don't think I could take it on a trade, but new studded leather armor will cost 50 gold. For the animal hide, what kind of hide is it and what were you wanting done with it?"

“Any discounts for sub contractors of the town guard? We did just help Captain Gaias out with clearing a harpy nest after all.”((Persuasion 8)) Moneo asks, putting on his nicest smile. “The skin a kind of snake actually. I’m just hoping for something simple at the moment, a bracelet or the like. No need for anything fancy quite yet.”
Grigori smiles, politely, even if a little forced at Moneo's attempt at negotiating the prices before responding, "Unfortunately, sir, I cannot afford to give discounts. But, did you say a snake? Hm...honestly, Saznoth would probably be your best bet. Even though the blacksmith works mostly with metal, he does do some leather work every now and again."
“Let’s go find someone who isn’t a damned huckster, folks.” Caradoc slaps his hand on the counter. “I can only imagine you must stay in business by cheating every customer unfortunate enough to walk in your door. I think I’ll be getting the attention of the guards on our way.” And Caradoc starts to leave.
“Oh, in that case, I’ve got some copper jangling around in my pocket. Should I offer you some of those for your goods - if they even are good- since that’s how you ‘negotiate’?”
Aeneas watched this interaction with interest. "My leather armor would be 45 gold, but his is 50? For studs?"

Grigori says, "Actually, for regular leather armor, that's only 10g. For studded leather armor, for him, it's 50." He crosses his arms in a socially defensive posture and says, "it takes a special fit for his kind."

Well shit... I made the roll and didn't do well, so was just gonna buy it for the 50 since bargaining isn't exactly fun. but now he's being racist...

Moneo, more so than anyone, knows that armor doesn't take any kind of special fit for satyrs. He also knows from having grown up in this area that this kind of behavior is completely normal at the outpost. Caradoc threatened to go to the Fort and say something, but your experience growing up here is that none of the soldiers would care. Most of the humans likely think that non-human races all do need special fits for their clothes. (I mean...don't the horns or the hooves get in the way?! Or so most people would likely think.) It is up to you all how you want to attempt to handle it. You can try to negotiate politely, negotiate impolitely, alert the soldiers to the racism, or walk away empty handed.
Just think about how you respond like this: if Moneo were African American in 1950's America, and the rest of you were white and you were dealing with a white store owner, how would that go down? You might be able to appeal to Grigori's better judgement, but that will be a very high DC due to the social programming involved in where he's at right now. You can brow beat Grigori, but that might have social consequences down the line. Or it might not, I guess, depending on how the rest of this story plays out. If you told the police about some racism in 1950's America, how would they respond?
Another question you could ask it: WWKD - What Would Kruphix Do?
"It's fine. I've seen better armor made by children anyway. This would probably fall apart before next moon." Moneo says flicking some dust off the armor, then looking to the team, as he walks to wait outside "So who's up for a pint after the fight today?"
Caradoc could likely check out Platon's Potions about fixing his shirt if he really doesn't want to do business at Grigori's. The armor you could probably talk Saznoth Barakis, the blacksmith, into checking out. (You said you needed to get it sized up to fit - would it not fit you?)
