Jassana dashes once more towards the Half-Orc. This time, she is pleased to see him unconscious with his back on the floating disc and his limbs dangling over the sides. “Excellent work, Ankin!” She says as she hog ties Scarface’s wrists and ankles together underneath the floating disc. That way he can’t slide off while moving, and because of the positioning, she hopes it will also be very difficult for him to break the bonds if he wakes up on the disc. “Let’s get going as fast as we can. Do you want to quickly search Lita and dump the body, or toss her on top of Scarface here and do a more thorough search somewhere more private? Who knows what secret pockets and compartments a guild thief like her has.” While she’s working, Jassana makes a quick search of Scarface for the key and any weapons. She puts the rest of his belongings in a pack and carries them. “Where to, fearless leader?!?”
Jassana tops off the pile with her cloak, stuffs an extra sock in Scarface’s mouth, ties another sock around his head to keep him from eventually spitting out the first, and ties Ankin’s burlap sack around his head. Then just for fun, she uses Prestidigitation to make a tattoo of Shargaas appear on his exposed neck. And for good measure, she makes it glow a sickly yellowish color and emanate a wisp of smoke. “There, if anyone asks, we just apprehended this necromancer, and we deserve a medal. Otherwise, let’s keep our heads down and get the hell out of here!”
"Looks like you're going down, you ugly sack of fish bait", curses Ankin triumphantly, as he ducks under the half-orc's final blow. "Guessing there's a few folk around that'd quite like to put the boot in. Your life belongs to me now, Scarface."
Turning to the crowd, Ankin gives a short bow. "Thank you ladies and gentlemen, and thus ends tonight's performance. No actual necromantic demihumans or their undead thralls were harmed. My name is Will Spearshake and we'll be back in a City Ward near you this time next week! Now, kindly clear orf whilst we tidy up our props. Go on, git, the lot of ya."
as the two of you are busy loading Scarface and attempting to tie him down with string you hear "Whats this then?" a squad of Watchmen approach you both as the crowd parts.
"the little guy beat up the big guy and now their ying him up" A child yells. "and they killed that other Hin with a magic fire". says a female voice in the crowd
at this the guards stiffen and draw cudgel. one watchman runs off toward the city gate.
"Both of you put up your hands." the first watchman says mustering authority.
"Now look here watchman", Ankin retorts with equal authority, "perhaps you did not get the word?". He looks around as if checking no one else is in earshot. "We're undercover you bloomin' idiots! You're jeopardising a highly important operation, one that's come right from the top if you know what I mean. The whole idea was to ensure the watch were not involved in Scarface's capture. Have you any idea how much time and effort has gone into planning this? How much trouble you are about to cause - not least for yourself. I hate to think what they are going to do to you...not your fault I expect...but we can both guess who'll get the blame, right?"
As Jassana looks towards where the fight was she sees Scarface awake now he's talking to the watch and pointing to you guys as your being loaded into a watch wagon.
Epilogue: The next morning those of you in attendance go over the previous nights happenings. Barnabus and Pomenia finally make it to the Purple Haze. they meet the coachmen and return to the mansion. after midnight a watchman summons Kryian and Athelynn and they are escorted to the lobby where a stern faced woman who says she is with a barrister firm that represents the collingswood estate takes both of then out to a coach and puts them in telling Kyrian "Let Sebastian know he owes me, Big time."
Eventually the estate pays one thousand gold pieces a year until adulthood to each of the surviving children of Tara and Lita for daily living, caretaking and lower education. and guarantees payment for them to attend schooling when they are of age as well as advanced education at a university, guild or military academy once they are of age.
Broki is found guilty of a lesser murder charge and sentenced to ten years hard labor in the Cairn mines. she dies in the first three months of serving her sentence. Jassana is killed in prison by a fellow inmate later found out to be Scarface he is sent to the Cairn mines for life. Ankin serves his ten years and is released early for good behavior and is never heard from in the Free city again. The key is never again heard of.
Thus ends the first adventure for the Agents of the Archmage.
it's been three months since that night in the free-city. Those of you still in the employ of the archmage try to get by through various daily regimens. The staff seems empathetic and does their best to gently raise spirits. Sebastian is away a great deal. Officially he is attending to various duties, but word gets around that he is dealing with legal and financial obligations placed on the estate. eventually though things begin to adjust back to normal.
Barnabus is deeply saddened upon hearing the fate of his missing companions. His simple mind finds it difficult to comprehend that his friends had been found guilty for actions that were surely done for good cause. However, the law was broken and for that there are consequences to be paid. He chastizes himself for not being able to provide more help in their defense of their actions or in the events on that day. The only thing that relieves him of these burdensome contemplations is using the extensive training facilities at the manor. He spends the better part of the next three months locked in a vicious cycle of self-doubting introspection and exhausting training regiments often ending with the dwarf passing out in a training room.
Pomenia finds herself distanced from the events that took place in the city, her naivete protecting her from the darker realities of the world. More confused then dispirited, she spends the first few days in her room, occupying herself with prayer and practice. She comes to the realization that there was little of anything she could do and in doing so allows herself to move passed those days. Pushing herself to be helpful around the manor, working in the gardens and providing healing to the staff and visitors when she can. This reminds her of home and through these acts she goes back to her cheerful, if at times awkward, demeanor. Over the three months, she slowly brings clippings into her room always having herbs on hand for what ever need she has. When she can, she offers restorative magic to Barnabus. She's seen that haunted look in others and does her best to be a friend to him.

OOC:his back is not on the floating disc
OOC: you do realise there is a crowd of people watching this.

persuasion or performance roll. Your choice, at disadvantage please.
(Well, they are both the same modifier, but I feel it should be performance after that act!)
Performance: 11
(Edit: Maybe I should have gone with persuasion...)
The watch men orders you both to lie down on your stomachs and hands behind your back. Ankin knows the drill, they are both under arrest.
Ankin figures there's no point wasting any more breath on the rank & file, so he complies quietly.
Jassana follows Ankin’s lead and complies as well.
As Jassana looks towards where the fight was she sees Scarface awake now he's talking to the watch and pointing to you guys as your being loaded into a watch wagon.
