"We might as well work together. We won't even be able to meet Syndra if we don't follow the little one."

"Oh yeah, Prince O'Tamu, super easy, east along the docks, then hang a right at the watchtower with a mold pattern that looks like a frowny face, right on through the gate, follow the road as it curves left, pop on into the circle past the gate--gotta climb over that sometimes, they aren't always very understanding about letting people in--then it's on the south side of the circle, big and sparkly and stuff! Follow meeee!" Kira takes off into the city.

Zyn was about to take some notes, but smiled happily as Kira decided to lead them to O'tamu's villa.

"She's certainly excitable."

"One might begin to say the same about you." Zyn smirked, following the group. "Might."

Astra takes out his travel journal and begins writing away as he follows behind the gnome, noting down everything he possibly could as he tried to keep up. The python slithers her way up his writing arm on the way. "Do we have to go to her now? It would be such a shame to-- excuse me--" He swivels around a pair of dinosaurs, mouth left agape for a moment prior to shaking his head and getting back on track. "To pass by all this!" 

"Indeed." Zyn admitted, looking around. "This place is unlike anything I have ever seen before. Monasteries and Undercity were not very exciting."

I beg to differ, young lady!

Sorry, Grandfather, but this place IS amazing! Now leave me alone, i'll be fine.

Hmph!

"OH, we can take a tour first!" Kira's grin gets so wide it shouldn't rightfully fit on her face. "We can go see the dino races, and the best mosaics, and the coolest lookout spots..." She changes direction to take the very, very scenic route to the mansion. "Oh, and you guys probably need a place to stay too!"

"I'm sure tha' the city's amazin'. But there's no point in wanderin' around with an empty purse unless you want every vendor in town treatin' you like some street rat."

"Tell you what." Zyn said, amazed at how wide a smile could get. "Kira, I would love a tour from you, but we are broke. Well, at least, I am."

As you're looking at the dinosaurs, Astra, a beggar grabs your by the arm and shouts, “The ancient one beneath the Forbidden City gives birth to a terrible new god! The snake-men know! They know!” Then he stumbles away into the crowd. Passersby tell you to "ignore the beggar", and that his predictions are "wrong most of the time".

Astra doesn't seem all too bothered by the beggars touch, and looks to be more interested in what he had to say, brows risen in interest. Before he could question the man further, he was gone. Despite being told to ignore his words, Astra writes them down regardless, Faust flicking her tail as her eyes watched the beggar go.

Crazy!

Astra chuckles lightly and gives a one shouldered shrug. "Perhaps, but you never know~" He then turns to the girls. "I'm sure there are things to do around here that don't cost coin. I believe our guide can find us some good spots...? If not, I do have a way of making money..." He puts his pencil in the journal and closes it with one hand while the now free hand digs into his pouch and pulls out a deck of ornately made cards. "I could give some tarot readings to these fine people~ Or I can do my snake charmer bit with my dear Faust here." The svelte young man boops his nose against the pythons snoot, then shrugs when his gaze is back on the group. "Either way I believe we can have fun without coin or try and make some ourselves. I'm sure you all have interesting talents, no?"

"Loony bastard."

Asha says in response to the homeless dude talking about snakepeople.

"I can work as a blacksmith. The Dwarves taught me how to do it."

Zyn thought for a moment. "I've fought in multiple martial arts tournaments." she admitted. "But i'm afraid i'm not too skilled in anything else. My family were traders and I decided not to partake in the business, so I, uh, don't have much skills that could make us money."

You guys can either enjoy the sights and locales in the city, or head to Syndra/O'Tamu. If you wish to enjoy the sights, look at the city map and give me a location number. If you do pick a location number, because of work today, Books can, if she wishes, have Kira tell you about that location by glancing in Chapter One's "Locations In The City" - or you guys can roleplay and wait for me for my break to update.

"Oh, I'm great at getting money, no problem, but we don't need coin to see some cool stuff! We could watch dino races, or climb stuff, or just go to one of the markets for the sight, it can be prettttttyyy awesome." Kira grins. "Market's the best spot for me to pick up some money, too. Oh! And we'll be needing a guide if whatever Syndra wants involves us going into the jungle, I can do some basic stuff with the help of my friends, but the guides here know the jungle better than anyone else. We don't have to do that yet though!"

"Let's go see those dino races."

Kira grins. "Good call! Follow me, follow me, follow meeee! Best ones are in the Old City, near the Beggars' Palaces. This waaaay!" She takes off towards the Beggars' Palaces.

 Asha grunts and takes off after the hyperactive gnome.

Zyn follows Kira as well, a look of wonder and delight on her face.

Astra's brow arched in interest to hear just how Kira planned to get some coin, though his mind already had an idea on what she planned to do. With that in mind, just before they headed off to see some dino racing, the wizard kneels down to the gnome. "How you plan to get this money I wonder~" There's a knowing glint in his eye as Faust slithers her way down his arm, extending herself to Kira to hold. "She's a great help~"

When she takes the familiar, he gives her a wink then gets up, readily following behind the group to see some dinos!

Kira brings the group out to the races just as an allosaurus races across the finish line. She grins and throws up her hands. "Woohoo, Bonecruncher! I'll be right back!" She grins at Faust. "Hi there, snake, nice to meet you, let's go cause some trouble!" With that, the gnome vanishes into the crowd.

When she returns, almost fifteen minutes later, her grin is somehow even wider. "The races are great! I got us about thirty gold worth, and Faust saved my dino steaks at least three times. Oh, and if you see a red-furred tabaxi with green eyes, don't tell him I'm here!"
