"Simple enough," Dra'vos says with a light laugh as he waves down a server, "A round for my friends and I." Dra'vos then draws a die from his pack, holding it between two fingers he returns the goblin's grin, "What shall be the wager for this little game?"

"Eekz 'as sum silver." The goblin puts 2 silver pieces onto the table, the greed that consumes all of Goblinkind washes over Eekz painfully as he places the pieces into the pot.

"Very well," Dra'vos pulls two silver out of his purse and adds it to the pot, he chuckles lightly as the greed begins to show on Eekz's face. Dra'vos scans the tavern to take note of where the others are while beginning his game with Eekz as well as to see if any other tavern goers catch his eye.
"Right then, Go ahead and roll 3 dice." Maintaining eye contact with you, the man shakes his cup and says, "Slap it face down, then look at your dice without showing anyone else. And since you're new, I'll start the bidding. Remember, you can only bid higher, whether that be a higher quantity of the any face or the same quantity of a higher face." He takes a second to look at his dice. "Two threes." (There are 3 other people besides you in this round, with a total of 12 dice, including yours.)
Two things, just for clarity, there are four acceptable moves.
-Bid higher quantity on the same face. ie Two 3's to Three 3's
-Bid higher quantity on any face. ie Two 3's to Three 1's
-Bid same quantity on higher face. ie two 3's to two 4's
-Call the last bidder a liar. This is the end game. Everyone shows all of their dice. If the last player called Four 4's, you win if there are less than four 4's, and you lose if there are four or more 4's. Got it?
Also, I'm realizing this game may be better for in person, so if you want, we can fast track this with a set of ability checks.

"Sure." Sylivar then rolls three dice. 8
(Question; in the scenario you gave above - do you mean 'four fours' as in the total number of 4s rolled among the entire table, or just between the challenger and latest bidder? Otherwise, I think I get it.)
(I'm fine with fast tracking this if you'd like, though!)
Dylan smiles his friendly, open smile at the land lord. "I'd have expected as much, of course," he says, pulling out the bribe he's been asked for. Holding the coins out in plain view, but not handing them over yet, he asks, "Where did they go?"
The barkeep gladly scoops up your coin and says, "A pleasure doing business with you. Right. The princeling and the guy you're looking for had a few drinks, played some Three-Dragon Ante, and then left about midnight. Five guys in here followed 'em out. Ain't seen the goons or the duo since. The goons, though, they tend to hang out in a warehouse on Candle Lane. They're Zhents, I think. The warehouse has a snakey symbol on the door."
Sylivar, if you want to tell me how you want to play this, we can fast track it. I'll make you roll based off your plans. If you're going to cheat, tell me how. Otherwise, I'm gonna just have you roll a few insight checks, showing your ability to read the opponents.

After overhearing the first bits of conversation going on at the counter, Gaèl shifts his attention to Dylan and the Barkeep. His eyes narrow as he sees some coins change hands, and he again begins to scan the surrounding tables to see if anyone else has taken interest in the Bladebenders dealings, especially if anyone seems displeased and potentially willing to interfere with weaponry.

As he picks ups his die Dra'vos watches as Gaèl attention focuses on Dylan and the barkeep so he follows the gaze watching as coin change hands at the bar. Dra'vos leans over to Gaèl as he tosses his die, "Anything we should be worried about?"
(I’m probably fine with fast-tracking it, as I don’t fully understand the game itself. From what I can tell, Sylivar will try to keep the bid gradually progressing up, and if he can tell someone is probably lying, he will challenge them. If the bid gets much higher than Sylivar’s own hand, he will attempt to turn his dice to a more favorable roll without being seen.)
All of Perception, Insight, and Sleight of Hand are +5 for Sylivar. Passive Insight and Perception are 15.

"Nah, they haven't been back. They're just regular enough for me to recognize 'em, and that's about it. They pop in once every couple weeks." The barkeep looks at Dylan, then pauses, "May be longer now, if those twerps got scooped up. They'll likely be busy. Or rolling in money from a ransom. No need to come out here in that case."
Gael, looking around, you see one of the folks gambling with Sylivar look up at the barkeep, but his attention quickly drifts back to his game.
Dra'vos, you actually rolled another 2.
Gil, people are sporadically joining in and singing. They seem to be having a good time, and no one is making a fuss.
(Sorry, Plum. I picked the game and you'd responded before I realized it may be obnoxious on PbP. But if you want to see it played, here's a quick clip from Pirates of the Caribbean !

Sylivar, you start this game, with little understanding of how it works. The first round goes pretty quickly, with the bids slowly ascending until one person cautiously says, "seven 6's." The guy who explained the rules, who is next yells that he's a liar, and flips over his cup. After seeing everyone else do the same, you show yours. With 6 6's showing, the previous guy gets disqualified. Continuing with three people, the rounds go more quickly, but now that Sylivar understands the game, he is stuck with a relatively bad hand. The betting starts on 3's, which Sylivar has none of. Trying to read the room, you start to try to flip one of your dice to a 3, but you get caught by the player who was eliminated. He calls out "Cheat!" and the bidding stops. The table leader says, "Ah, that's no fun. You're gonna be out unless you cough some more coin into the pot. Then we can forget all about it." (You already have 11 copper in the pot).
Dylan thanks the barman and returns to his original table where the others are sat. "So the barkeep says the goons who lifted Floon were Zhents. He also says they have a warehouse back on Candle Lane; one with a snake symbol on the door. We just came from Candle Lane - the house we came out of exited there. So I guess the double-house thing was a quick way to get to the warehouse without people being able to follow. Seems like that's our next target, agreed?"
The noble sips his ale slowly and watches the strange dice game going on on this table whilst keeping half an eye on Sylivar to make sure he is okay.
"Nah, at least for now we seem to be fine." , Gaèl responds, but he remains alert until Dylan comes back to the table. After listening to the new intel, he begins to take bigger gulps of his drink, apparantly intent to empty it quickly. "That does line up with what we found out so far. I agree that we should head there next, and probably sooner than later, we're looking a little to posh for this place i feel. These folks are eyeing us up so much it feels like we ran into a brothel rather than a pub. And it might be best to get going anyway, before any of the rats in here manages to warn the Zhents of our coming." With that, Gaèl tries to attract the attention of Sylivar and Gil, as far as that is possible in any inconspicuously way.
Dylan nods at his old friend. "Yes, good point, Gaèl. And I'm more than happy to exit this establishment sooner, rather than later, preferably with my good looks and money purse intact," he smiles.
"Seems we will need to put our game on hold Eekz," Dra'vos says picking up his die he then turns to Dylan, "So we have learned the who, possibly the where, with any luck we will find the answer to the biggest question, why."
