Well now, look at you two, not exactly dressed for battle are we ;) Carilius points his rapier at the scantily clad Drow’s, sending a bolt of Eldritch Blast at each
The first is able to get her sword up and deflect the energy bolt but the Male is too slow and it blows his torso out killing him and flinging him backwards into the chamber he was emerging from
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Well that went as well as could be expected! Whatever, or whoever, this was will hopefully stay that way.
Jhee-Kharr takes a look in the pockets of the drow that had been observing the encircled entrails, lest they might have something that explains the purpose of the bloody writings
You are unable to find anything to explain the circle on the bodies of the dead. It seems like the underdressed drow were willingly succumbing to punishment. A tunnel leads south, you can’t help but feel that maybe it would be best to move on now...
Heading south you enter a rough hewn tunnel. It winds its way before turning to your left and opening into a slightly larger cave. Wind moans through this chamber causing the spider webs here to sway mournfully

The sight of the webs puts Jhee-Kharr on edge and he strains to hear beyond the wind. He adopts a defensive stance as he advances into the cavern to look around it.
You creep across the chamber and peer down the tunnel beyond. You see A drider driven mad by the wailing winds covers its ears in a futile attempt to block out the noise, shrieking, “Make it stop!” in Elvish, in the next chamber
You see no traps. You can barely hear yourself think over the wind howling through the tunnel. The driver turns at your approach “MAKE IT STOP!” your insight tells you that you have seconds to calm the creature before it goes wild
The driver tenses at your approach but as you cast the spell and use your knowledge of creatures to soothe it the driver visibly relaxes. The elven part of the abomination starts to reassert control and it reads up and scuttles past you all looking for revenge on the drow that did this to it.
The drider is full of rage and ignores all entreaties. He barrels past everyone else and draws his sword as his spidery legs carry him back towards the prison. In a few seconds you hear shouts and the wrenching scream of steel bars being wrenched from stone.
