The tortle filled a mug with water seeming uninterested in something stronger and gave the Dwarf a surprised look at his question the politely replied, "I merely came here to await our mutual friend. If he had other motives for suggesting that I inquire about the bearded dragon then he kept them to himself. I merely assumed it to be a special phrase to obtain entry into your establishment."Genesh explained unmoved by the Dwarf's words and manner seemingly uninterested in a quest, at least for the moment. The tortle gazed at the Dwarf, "perhaps my companions are interested in such things and have questions. For myself, I do not deal with vagaries. I am but a humble tortle. Should my companions decide to seek a quest, then I shall of course accompany them. It is a pity our esteemed Bard is not present as this all falls into his wheelhouse."
Barkeep: "A fair and even response master Tortle. I too await our mutual friend, and, I would indeed like to meet the bard of your company as well."
He walks about his establishment, sorting the odds and ends of a morning shift, remarking infrequently about the difficulties of keeping things sorted.
At the Docks...
Olwer and his treasure rest peacefully, undisturbed...
(9:00 AM)
At the Bar...
Two men walk in and sit down at the other side. They don't speak at first until the Dwarf walks over and address them in a low tone. They both order two shots, dark liquid. The muttering continues and they leave a pair of daggers and sack of coins on top a sheet of paper, then leave.
Barkeep: "See? Odd things all the time. They just robbed someone who had killed a priest. They couldn't overtake her so they took what they could and left with their loot and lives."
He chuckles, examining the daggers close. Black steel with a purple hue in the edge of the blade. He places them, the paper, and, the coins, underneath the counter.
Elisha will not butt in on the Dwarf & Genesh's conversation. He will order an ale. He will wait till he can get Genesh and Irena alone and fill them in about John, the staff & pearl, how they got here (the fish), and all the strange things going on.
The dwarf moves about, and you are able to speak freely as the distance grows to across the room when he shines the tables. Elisha brings the other two up to speed.
(9:30 AM)
At the docks...
Olwer wakes up, well rested from his hour long nap.
Olwer goes wandering into town and immediately sees the ranger group leaving the Warden's absent one. The three of them pass by, not really knowing who Olwer is.
He makes his way to the bar shortly thereafter, noticing that the group did not in fact return to or follow him there. Walking up to the door, he knocks and is immediately let in,
Barkeep: “So I take it you're the bard? Good to meet ya! I was just about ta tell your friends about some things that need doing around here, if ya're up for it. They mostly pay quiet well from what I understand.”

Barkeep: “So I take it you're the bard? Good to meet ya! I was just about ta tell your friends about some things that need doing around here, if ya're up for it. They mostly pay quiet well from what I understand.”
The Dwarf speaks to all about the goings on around that he's heard of:
He talks about an odd dealing made with the Church. One of the priests that's been a main stay there for years suddenly got on a cart and left about a day ago. Its odd, because it was happening just around the same time he was being accused of dark dealings with some of the forest's more ill-tempted tenants. (An Investigation, mostly RP, possible combat)
He speaks of the wild creature running around up North. This is the same creature that the tattooed man is currently hunting, and that the Rangers were after. He explains that its something that will always be a problem till it isn't, and that someone will eventually have to put it down. (A Bounty, some RP, dangerous combat)
--If you agree to hunting the creature, you will also have the option to link up with the Rangers as they are probably going to be heading up there as well. Choosing to or not to will have long term effects.
He mentions a growing concern for the undead presence in the woods. This isn't so much a surprise about it happening as it is that it's happening far too often. He wants you to: Eliminate a significant number of the undead (Pest Control, mostly light combat)
--If you agree to reduce the Zombie threat, there is also the option to discover the source (an Investigation) as well as eliminate it (a bounty). These will be significantly longer and harder as they have long term consequences BUT you don't have to do them to collect a reward, and may come back to do them as another quest entirely.
Finally he discusses a supply run with you. There's some things he needs from the Dwarven Harbor at Lhargh Llur, and he's willing to pay you for it. (Supply Run, all RP)
"I'd be happy to go to Llargh Llur for the supply run. I could do some shopping of my own in the port's markets while I'm at it--I have purchases to make, and I don't know that I can obtain the goods here. This business with the priest leaving town also interests me, and might be a matter in which my talents prove useful. I'm up for almost anything, though, if the price and the company suits me."
The barkeep, much appreciated by the fact that you'd be interested in such endeavors, happily responds,
Barkeep: "Absolutely! You'll be wanting ta stop by Chap's Wraps on your way out. "D" is a strange one, but he'll have all yer armoring needs, as long as its in mostly leather."
And with that, the group's direction was set. They set off in the direction of the mythical Chap's Wraps and the mysterious "D."
(9:45AM)
At Chap's Wraps...
Upon reaching said store, an enthusiastic, but not annoying, younger elf comes out and applauds your visit.
"D": "Hello all of you! How are you doing today? Is there anything in specific you're looking for?"
Elisha informs the man of his intended gear and he takes measurements before coming out with a well made looking collection of studded leather armor.
Genesh follows the others to Chap's Wraps but doesn't bother going inside with them and just waits outside the place for his companions to conduct their business.
The purchase completes without much fuss and you all head off to the harbor, boarding a ship that bears a name you've already forgotten. Before you manage to cast off at 11, a few people join the voyage. Notably, you notice Den (the fourth ranger), The Warden from before as well as another you've not met, and finally john. They board and go below deck immediately heading for the prisoners quarters.
The ship leaves the dock, slowly sailing away as it picks up the wind blowing slow and even. The quartermaster rolls out a map you can see from the deck of the ship.
The Dwarf looks over you all with a inquisitive look,
"Well, capable enough I suppose. What's say you all to a quest then? That is why yer here right?!"
He waves his hand at the door dismissively,
"This has nothing ta do with the Wardens. If Andy sent you here, and asked you to see the dragon, i know you're worth the ask."
He smirks a little, clearly entertained by hiding "the bearded dragon" secret from you.
The tortle filled a mug with water seeming uninterested in something stronger and gave the Dwarf a surprised look at his question the politely replied, "I merely came here to await our mutual friend. The Dwarf cheerily responds,
Barkeep: "A fair and even response master Tortle. I too await our mutual friend, and, I would indeed like to meet the bard of your company as well."

Irenia will also stay silent as Genesh speaks.
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.

"Yes, I'm the bard."
Olwer grins.
"Pays well--that sounds good. Please, do tell..."
He finds a seat.

Irenia nods. "Sounds good."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Elisha will go along with whatever the group decides.
He will ask the Dwarf: "Is there a place in town that sells leather armor? I am looking for some studded."
At the Bar...

Genesh follows the others to Chap's Wraps but doesn't bother going inside with them and just waits outside the place for his companions to conduct their business.
Olwer goes inside with Elisha.
When he is briefly alone with the Elf, while D is busy, he whispers,
"I don't trust the Warden. She might be after our reward money."
