Meepo rolls the coins over in his fingers. "Very shiny. Good." Standing up, he scampers over to the door in the northwest corner of the room and knocks in a rhythmic pattern. You hear a series of clicking sounds from inside, then a brief pause before the door creaks open. Meepo has a brief conversation in Draconic with whoever is inside. It's difficult to see into the room from this angle, but you can discern multiple different voices chiming in to the discussion.
Arisys and Genken, you understand the gist of what they're saying:
Meepo explains that there is a group of "big people" here, but they are friends and should not be attacked. He then asks if they're willing to lure Yusdrayl to one of the guard rooms under the pretense of a meeting. The other kobolds are wary at first, but quickly change their minds once Meepo offers them the coin.
The door shuts again, but you continue to hear muffled voices from inside. Meepo moves down the hallway, repeating the process at the farthest door on the south wall. He comes back to where you're standing after a minute, looking more confident than you've seen him so far. "Come! Come!" He says, leading you down the hallway and taking the first right turn. He presses himself against the west wall and gestures for you to do the same.

While they are moving stealthily through the hallway. Arisys would like to keep her ears open to what sounds she hears through the doors that they pass.
Arisys, you don't hear anything coming from the doors near you.
You all follow Meepo into the side hallway. To your right, in the hall you just came from, three kobolds pass by. While Meepo is dressed in rags, these three have some semblance of leather armor on. They pass out of your vision. You hear footsteps and voices talking for the next minute or two, though it's difficult to make out exactly what they're saying. Finally, a door slams shut, and there is silence.
Meepo creeps to the opposite end of the hallway and cautiously peeks around the corner. "Is okay. You can come," he tells you, then disappears into the room.
You enter a long, rectangular room with stone pillars lining the walls. A short throne stands against the west wall, constructed of fallen bits of masonry stacked against an old altar. On the top of the altar sit a variety of small items, but from this distance you can't tell what they are. The portion of the altar that serves as the throne's back features a carving of a rearing dragon. A ring of keys dangles from its open jaws. Meepo is currently crossing the room towards the throne, and it doesn't seem like he's trying to be stealthy anymore.
"Most of us lives in there." Meepo points to the door on the east wall. "Thems are for the guards." He points to the two doors on the south wall. "The foods are kept in there." He points to the western door on the north wall. "And that one is where the goblins be." He points to the eastern door on the north wall. "We gots to unlock it first, though." You reach the throne and Meepo stands on his toes, just barely tall enough to grab the key ring. Now that you're close to the altar, you see that the objects sitting on it are a small feather, a flask of red liquid, and three parchment scrolls.

Genken looks inquisitively at each of the items. "Are these sacrifices to your boss, Meepo?" He looks again at the items, trying to tell if they are simply resting there or somehow trapped or part of the alter's construction (Investigation: 23).
(OOC - Arisys, that was exactly what I was planning on doing with everything! Haha)
(Investigation roll again as it didn't seem to work first time: 6)
Genken's poorly-timed question draws Meepo's attention to the altar just as Arisys is grabbing the flask. "Yusdrayl not gon' like if you take that," he warns. "Them's her magic things."
Genken, the items appear to be just resting there.
Genken chuckles at Arisys' attempt to take the items on the alter, "Better luck next time." He makes his way over to Meepo and nods, ready for the kobold to continue to lead the way.
The door leads into a hallway that extends for about thirty feet before turning left. When Meepo enters, he immediately starts hugging the left wall and doing an awkward sideways shuffle. "You gots to be very careful," he tells you. "If you steps in the middle, you gonna fall way down."
Genken follows suit, hugging the wall. As he goes to move forward, he turns to the next to follow and points to the middle of the hall and gestures that it's a trap. He then hugs the wall, moving slowly sideways along it.
Arisys will follow behind Genken. "It was worth a try. I think one of those keys could open the dragon door." She whispers to him as they hug the wall following behind Meepo. "Mr. Meepo. We've hugged the wall a few times now, are there many such traps in this fortress?"

I gesture to the rest of the party to leave her things alone, though Summer peeks at the parchment to see if anything is written.

Summer, you can tell that something is written in them, but without unfurling them completely, you aren't able to read what it is.
By this point, Meepo has unlocked the door and returned the keys to the altar. He stands near the door, waiting for you all to be ready.
