"Just back to where we was before," Meepo says. By now, he's holding most of Calcryx's small hoard and his arms are quite full.

Calcryx takes one of the last items from the pile, what looks to be a brass cooking pot, and gives it to Lar-Dun. "Carry," he tells him in Draconic. He then picks up the jade figurine and slinks past you all towards the door, looking back expectantly.

Unfortunately unable to understand the dragon, Lar-Dun expects that Calcryx wants him to carry the item, so he takes it welcomingly. "This is nice. Solid construction. Shiny too. Where'd you find it, Calcryx?" He comments.

It doesn't appear magical to you.

Calcryx cocks his head to the side, not understanding your words.

Genken chuckles and points to Lar-Dun, "This one wants to know where you found your pot, little one?"

Noticing the obvious language barrier, Calcryx makes sure he has Lar-Dun's attention, then walks over and points to one of the broken cabinets with his nose.

"There you have it, Lar-Dun," Genken shrugs, "Not as mysterious as you were thinking?"

"Definitely not. Thought it might have come from somewhere else. Oh well." Lar-Dun says with a shrug. He readjusts his grip of the item and prepares to follow Calcryx.

Summer stays close to the party but keeps an ear open for any trouble.

Ondrej leans down to look at the pot Lar-Dun is holding. "There was a magic pot just sitting in that cabinet? What does it do?"

"I don't actually know that it is magical, friend." Lar-Dun says with a frown. "Maybe you can tell?" He holds it closer to Ondrej, hoping he will have better luck in discerning it's true nature.

Ondrej squints and stares at the pot intently.

(I was hoping for much lower, to be honest.)

"Seems pretty magic to me."

Ondrej, you don't see anything that would indicate the pot is magical.

Unless anyone has any objections, Meepo and Calcryx lead the way back. You pass through the long room lined with pillars, the goblins' sleeping quarters, and the trapped hallway.

(Two quick notes before I continue:

1. You guys have all reached level 2! I've decided to use milestone instead of XP for advancement because I feel like it better represents your progress. You guys have avoided a lot of potential combat through good rolls and good roleplay, but I still think you deserve the level up.

2. For reference, you made your descent into the ravine in the early afternoon. You've been down here for a few hours, and though it's hard to judge time without the sun, you estimate that it's early-mid evening now.)

You enter the chamber containing Yusdrayl's throne, excited at the prospect of finally completing your mission. As you're walking through, a voice calls out from your right in Draconic: "What is the meaning of this?" Glancing over, you see a female kobold sitting on the once-empty throne. She's tall for her species and is dressed in long white robes. Two kobolds wearing leather armor stand to either side of her.

Lar-Dun motions to Genken or Meepo, hoping that one of them can explain or negotiate.

Meepo is frozen on the spot, mouth opening and closing but no words coming out.

"Apologies for the intrusion," Genken bows as he replies in draconic, "I am Genken Medjhan and these are my companions. Might I know your name, that we might better converse?"

“I am Yusdrayl, leader of this tribe. Now tell me, Genken Medjhan, what are you doing with my dragon?”

Arisys looks up in wonder at the regal kobold sitting in the throne before them. She remains quiet allowing Genken to speak on their behalf. 

Summer saw the look of awe in Arisys' eyes but decided to stay quiet alongside her.

"Well met Yusdrayl," Genken bows again, "We're simply returning this little one to its home. Some goblins attacked your ward, Meepo, and made off with Calcryx. We simply offered to aid him in recovering your little one. We meant no disrespect in passing through your domain."
