You follow the sounds of fighting, and about 15 seconds later, you find the.source of th sounds. Between two buildings, you can see a black minotaur engaged in combat with want looks like several halfings. The minotaur's muzzle is frothing, and it face is contorted into an expression of rage. Its powerful muscles bunch and tense as it swings its massive ax to cleave through one of the halflings. The halfling dodges out of the way, and four of the seven halflings dive in and slash at the beast with daggers.
Aimon looks over at Trill and whispers, "do you think they're really halflings? This is the one part of the world I'm more surprised to see them than I am a minotaur."
He edges closer, "we need to see what's going on."
Aimon moves quietly closer, stepping carefully through the fog to get closer to the combatants.
At first glance, they appear to be halflings. When you look closer at them, they have no eyes. Their empty sockets puncture their face, and their skin is dry and and pulled taught against their bony frame. You see that one of them has been cut and instead of blood, mist pours out instead.
"The halfling creatures don't have eyes, and they're all weird and bony. They also aren't bleeding, they're spilling smoke. I've never seen anything like it before," Caelynn whispers back. "I genuinely don't know whose side we would be on if we jumped in. It might be best for us to try and sneak around them unnoticed."
Trill cocks her head at Caelynn, repeating her own words back to her. "We shouldn't waste the opportunity."

Something seems off about these halflings. You can't tell what it is at.this distance with the fog, but something isn't right.
As you are watching the fight, you can see several humanoid shapes in the fog also watching. When you look at them directly, they disappear.
