Ok. So I will just have to be patient. I'm not sure if this kind of play is right for me, if it potentially takes days for someone to respond to a singular action. At least I'm learning! Thanks for doing this for us.
Well its not for everyone but if everyone can post you barely notice it.
But speaking of posting I might have a hard time posting the next few days, but that'll give you time to connect your characters and make backstories!
A little more detail about the setting.
You'll be starting in the small town of Nettlebrooke, a settlement on the road to Cogpoint, the technological capital of the world.
Aezairia has a king, King Atticus Goodfellow the Simple, but the place is really run by his appointed ministers. Besides that, Aezairians are mostly left to their own devices, resulting in culture and belief changing from town to town.
The resident Druid, Forrester Leafage, and the resident Inventor, Herr Hertz, have been feuding with each other for awhile now and are always looking for help.
Although their is still some work for adventurers (especially in the big city), their is a severe lack of them! But despite that their is competition.
I noticed that too. I think that's a DnD beyond thing. I couldn't find a setting to change it so it might just be a quirk of the platform that we have to live with.
Fiyona hails from an isolated Elvish country with royalty and heavy caste systems. Fiyona, being 8th in line for the throne, grew up happily and privileged, only knowing rich and pampered life. Her life was forever changed at 17 years of age when an assassination attempt on all royal family members was executed by another family member. She witnessed many loved ones slaughtered brutally in front of her eyes. She was forced to flee the country and travel far enough that her old life would never find her and she had to become a new person. This new person became bitter and hardened by the betrayal and first hand knowledge of how brutal the outside world is. Her inner self is at war - the sweet naive child that loved freely and trusted easily vs. the experienced adult full of bitterness, anger, and self-preservation. She travels the entire world trying to find a way to let her bitter half go and return to the care-free person she used to be. She has long straight white hair, deep blue eyes, red lips, and pale elven skin. She is 32 years old and has been traveling a long time alone. She has an affinity for healing magic.
OTHER
Kingdom of Aezairia Campaign: Fiyona is new to this country. She grew up in a world of traditional magic, so she is weary of this new age of technology and science. Coming from a privileged background, she was well educated in all things traditional, which gave her confidence in life, as she valued knowledge as a superior tool. The budding new world that she has never experienced unnerves her, and she knows she will have to do something drastic in order to survive it. She is a survivor, if nothing else.
Dezmond, hero of another land destroyed by a demi-god from a world that no longer exists, now he is alone in a place he does not know, he was sent by his god to profess his faith, now his mission is repeated in what It seems to be another time where technology is greater than magic and nobody knows who is he.
few years ago when he came to this land, they received him in a monastery of monks, who professed no other faith than spirituality itself, he taugh them his faith and they taugh him to fight and use the powers that this god gives to all living beings on earth.
Now he is looking to expand his faith throughout the land and on the way to know this new land with no more than his faith
he know speak an ancient language what he names "ancient elf"
Mel, short for Melody. She left her home village 4 years ago after catching (and accidentally killing) a village guest trying to steal a horse. Now she's working as a cook and entertainer at the town's popular tavern, regularly talking with the patrons and blending their ideas with her own traditions.
Ohh maybe us new in town players can meet each other at Mel’s bar for the first time. She can mention the town needing adventurers and we team together.
What ever you go with I do encourage keeping it simple. Making an already established group/ know each other and keeping things simple is great for new players.
So what does everyone think? Do our characters know each other? Do we want to help the Druid or the Inventor? I still totally think our first scene should be in the bar whether we know each other or not. I really want to start, let’s get these ideas rolling!
So without Diablo responding I have to assume it's just you 4 so we can start!
First, though, are their any up front questions about mechanics or rules that you need answered?
Second, some of you have said you wanted to move over to Discord. I haven't gmed on Discord before but I'll figure it out. But the question is, do you guys want to stay here or move to Discord? If we do move to Discord I would have to ask that we all post more frequently.
Anything that keeps us posting faster I’m good with. I have Discord. This has the Dice but with so few of us I think we can just use a dice app and keep honest. I just want to staaarrtt!!!
I forgot dice! Their is a dice rolling thing on this site, its located on the very end of the tool bar on the comment box.

Noticed you guy have a lot of magic users. Shouldn't be a problem if Diablo makes a physical character.
im a monk, i can figth, but i dont have equipment
I do see that there is a lot of ranger
Why can I not see the backstory on everyone’s character sheets? I only see mine..
I noticed that too. I think that's a DnD beyond thing. I couldn't find a setting to change it so it might just be a quirk of the platform that we have to live with.

Well since we are sharing
Like I said.. it's super simple.

Yeah. Let's have Mel be the glue that brings the party together.
So without Diablo responding I have to assume it's just you 4 so we can start!
