Mercwri, oh the joys of having a decent weapon! The bolt hits home and takes out one of several eyes that seems to be rolling around on the fleshy mass in the centre of the room. Through the muffled protection of your wax plugs you hear it scream out in agony.
Alanis your fire bolt streaks through the darkness in a fiery blur. It hits the beast square in the face and when the blaze clear the troglodytes head is nothing more than a crispy meatball. It drops to the ground dead leaving the stranger free to move.
Randrak you dash in and attack the eastern most troglodyte. Your first slice cuts into its flesh while the second slides harmlessly across its hide armour.
Dvori, eyes puffed and still reeling, sags against the broken mining cart behind him and lets his eyes focus for one brief moment. He is free. And he is mad. He falls to his knees, grasping a handful of the fine, sandy gravel, the leftovers of whatever the cart once carried, and flings it across the room to a point about fifteen feet past the huge monstrosity and on its NorthEast flank.
"Sleep!"
The sand takes on an enchanted glitter, exploding outward in a nova of dust from the chosen point with a clearly magical burst. Dvori stumbles around and to the other side of the broken container, past the bloodied corpse of his former captor, and away from the monstrosity before tumbling to the floor, heaving deep breaths against the poison raging through his veins.
(Sleep affects 12 worth of hp, in ascending order of HP totals starting from lowest, in a 20ft radius from a point about 15 ft North/NorthEast of the Mouther.)
Dvori your sleep spell spreads across the chamber but unfortunately none of the beasts succumb to the charm.
You all hear a snarl and turn in time to see Uldran wild shape into a panther and charge in to pounce on one of the troglodytes. [STR 9] He knocks the thing prone and bites into its hide Attack: 15 Damage: 5 before clawing into its side Attack: 11 Damage: 5.
As if roused by the battle the Gibbering Mouther suddenly begins to move, its warped limbs flailing around. He slides toward the group and with a horrible slurping sound it releases a gob of fluorescent green mucus toward you Alanis. As it strikes the ground it flashes in a brilliant white light and you all try to cover your eyes.
Mercwri, Reggarn and Hitticus as now blind until the end of the Mouthers next round.
Alanis somehow manages to shield her eyes. Unfortunately she has nothing to help those of her companions who weren’t as lucky.
Her thoughts are racing, mostly screaming at her that she is a freaking guild artisan that shouldn’t be dealing with this horrors. But beneath the panic there is still a rational part of her trying to analyze the situation and get her through this alive somehow.
Firstly she should move. Standing bunched up in one spot clearly just had been proven to be a bad idea.
Secondly, they would need any advantage they could get. She grabs a small sack containing fine powder and pours it into her hand. This might not even work, but if it does it could give them a little edge - those who could see, that is. She really, really hopes whatever happened to her companions isn’t permanent.
She puts her hand to her mouth and blows the powder towards the mouther, trying to get the lone troglodyte close to it as well. The powder flies, almost like it has a mind of its own, trying to find purchase on the creatures.
After that she moves away from the group. (I suppose back to the previous room, 'cause I don’t see her being ballsy enough to run closer to the mouther 😅)

Freak you deliver a mighty blow and slice a chunk out of the Mouthers fleshy mass. Close up to the creature you note that the ground around it has become sodden with the flesh juices that seem to be constantly pouring from its countless and mostly unidentifiable orifices.
NOTE: Aberrant Ground. The ground in a 10-foot radius around the mouther is doughlike difficult terrain. Each creature that starts its turn in that area must succeed on a DC 10 Strength saving throw or have its speed reduced to 0 until the start of its next turn.
ALSO : As you strike into the thing its begins to emit a terrible gibbering sound. Gibbering. The mouther babbles incoherently while it can see any creature and isn't incapacitated. Each creature that starts its turn within 20 feet of the mouther and can hear the gibbering must succeed on a DC 10 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the creature can't take reactions until the start of its next turn and rolls a d8 to determine what it does during its turn. On a 1 to 4, the creature does nothing. On a 5 or 6, the creature takes no action or bonus action and uses all its movement to move in a randomly determined direction. On a 7 or 8, the creature makes a melee attack against a randomly determined creature within its reach or does nothing if it can't make such an attack. Any of you, who have blocked your ears can roll advantage.
Hitticus stumbles forward panicked by his sudden blindness, then hearing the gibbering of the mouther he clutches his ears and begins to scream. He drops to his knees and begins to claw at his own face. Seeing him in this vulnerable state one of the Troglodytes dashes in to attack, Attack: 6 Damage: 5, Attack: 23 Damage: 3, Attack: 19 Damage: 5
The troglodyte fending off Uldran retaliates, Attack: 8 Damage: 5, Attack: 19 Damage: 6, Attack: 19 Damage: 4
One of the troglodytes turns to attack you Freak, Attack: 24 Damage: 9, Attack: 13 Damage: 3, Attack: 23 Damage: 6
While Randrak your opponent also retaliates, Attack: 24 Damage: 7, Attack: 21 Damage: 4, Attack: 12 Damage: 4
The troglodyte tries to bite Randrak, but his thick chain mail protects him from the creature's teeth. He then fails to successfully parry the first swing of its claws, as he is caught across the cheek. However, he manages to parry the swing strike with his bagh nakh.

Mercwri will take a deep breath, concentrate, focusing on where he had fired his last bolt and, aiming for a point about half a foot higher than any in the party was tall, will loose a bolt at where he thinks the blubbering thing might be.
Mercwri, without your sight it is a bold move, but you are confident in your aim. Freak you feel the rush of air as the bolt passes above you and hits home. The Gibbering Mouther howls out in pain indicating the success of the attack.

OOC: Remember the tagGibbering/tag next turn Randrak.
Randrak you slice into the troglodyte with animal like fury, cutting deep scores across its chest before severing a major artery in its throat. It drops to the ground dead.
The panther that is Uldran shakes off the effects of the mouther and claws the troglodyte before him.
The Gibbering Mouther warps and slithers toward you Freak, several of its fetid mouths opening to reveal row upon row of yellowed teeth. Attack: 5 Damage: 13 (If it hits and you are still standing, take a DC 10 strength check or be knocked prone).

Alanis gathers what little courage she has left and steps back to see what is going down in the cave.
Still so many of them! And that monster straight from a nightmare!
There is little she has left to contribute, but it would have to do. So she grabs another vial and aims at the mouther, trying to do her part to bring it down.
