Oran and Doe'Tana, from your position, you manage to open one larger package and undo a matted and neatly folded piece of thin parchment. You see this map in your hands, turning it over, not sure what the spindly map entails, or where you even are. The frankly alarming amount of jumbled words and lines make it difficult to understand. Make a flat Intelligence check to see if you can glean anything.
However, before you can open the smaller package, Doe'Tanafumbles while craning his head to see the map that Oranis holding. He momentarily steps on a branch that creates an audible snap, and the two darkly clad figures crane their heads. The smaller of the two - a Human female with long, dark hair - glances towards the other more burly figure, and both begin slowly walking to your secluded direction, peering around the area as you make your way further into the woods.
Will update with the other half of the group's information after I make some DM rolls.

The man that Ciradyl is speaking to seems to still be apprehensive, but slightly drops his afraid demeanor. His expression gradually shifts from confused to curious, but still, it contains a good amount of skepticism in what he is witnessing. He takes no heed of Baragon or Arnold's presence. "Time travel, you said?" Thinking about the strange thing he thought he heard, he shakes his head. After hearing the figure in front of him continue and utter the word 'Elves', he begins to think about what he's heard about dementia. Poor woman, she must be insane. Look how she cut her own ears! "You escape from the crazy ward up past the river or somethin'?" He muses. After resting assured in his own assumptions, he continues. "Look, I'm sure there's someone you can call. Want to take a ride up with me to the city? I'm sure I can take you where you want to be."

Intelligence Roll (am I even holding the map the right way up?): 22(With that result I am going to take some liberties with what I ascertain please feel free to correct anything that I don't get right. As a nature boy with a natural 20 intelligence check seems like he has a decent idea of this map even if he doesn't know what a highway is.)
Surveying the map Doe'Tana sees great lines of Blue, Orange and Red connecting what appear to be settlements or villages? Maybe the blue is rivers and the orange and red are different qualities of trail or something. If that is the case then these names on the map must be the names of the settlements, or perhaps the name of the official in charge of each settlement. But where were they?
Remembering the sign from before Doe'Tana leans in looking for a mention of Willow Park, Hillson Creek, Meadow Farms, or Roanoke Trail. The map is such a jumble of names and places it is hard to make heads or tails of it though...In frustration he forgets himself and stamps his foot slightly, causing a rustle and crack of branches.
Ciradyl looks at the man curiously and with a stern offended tone and a stamp of her foot she responds "Crazy? Sir, that I most definitely am not. I do not have a sending stone to 'call' someone for assistance, we are stranded in this time it seems. I have 2 more companions with me, but like me, their kind no longer graces this world." She throws up her hands with a frustrated sigh.
"We have already come across two humans that fainted from the sight of them. I'm the closest in appearance to the humans here so I have stepped up to try to help communicate. Even if you were to take us somewhere, I'm not sure if it would help, as I have no idea where or when we are." Her voice is starting to crack under the amount of pressure and frustration she feels in this strange land. "Would you please at least be willing to have an open mind if I can show you something that is truly not of this world?"
Arnold is abit worried, remembering how that woman fainted, and how even in his own world, people fear him. Still, if this human can have an open mind... Maybe it won't be so bad? Arnold loves making new friends!!!

Oran, seeing Doe'Tana seeming to understand the map, decides to try to decipher it himself. (Intelligence: 19) We both know what this means, he tells his friend. We just need to figure out where we are. After hearing the snap of the branch, Oran looks up to see the two humans. Shh, now they know we're here,Oran reprimands Doe'Tana. So much for staying under the radar. Or...he contemplates for a little bit. We could just ask them to take us to one of these places. The bigger place names are probably larger settlements. If our clairvoyance coins can send messages to our other friends, we could potentially meet up at the chosen settlement. So what say you to hitching a ride to Indianapolis?
If they are amenable to giving us a ride in one of those metal carriages, it seems like a decent option. So far I have not been impressed by the general hospitality of the humans in this time. But since we don't really know where we are, maybe it would be the most expeditious option. I guess let's give it a try?
Slipping his dark glassed spectacles back on so he more closely resembled the approaching humans, Doe'Tana steps out of the wooded cover and waves at them smiling from a distance.
"Hello there. Did the gentleman inside ask you to come help us because we were lost? He seemed quite flummoxed by us, but if he did indeed summon help as requested then we are infact in his debt. Is there any chance you could help us get to Indian-Apple-Us? We are hoping to meet our friends there."
(OOC: To any modern american it will sound like Doe'Tana has never been, seen, heard of, or said Indianapolis before now. Imagine Mr. Chekov asking about the New-cle-air Wessels in Stark Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

Doe'Tana, your assumptions with what you can ascertain about the first map are appropriate for what you rolled, along with being able to determine and read the names of the settlements on the map. The roll that will follow soon will be in terms of you attempting to pass as a Human.
Oran, if you would like to inspect the nature of the coins, feel free to make an [skill]Arcana[/skill[ check.
Whew - sorry for stealing the second Natural 20! You are in for a ride, Oran & Doe'Tana.
As Oran hangs back, Doe'Tana attempts to ask the approaching shaded Male Human about a possible ride to one of the cities he found on his map. Unfortunately, the abnormally perceptive Human quickly recognizes the unnaturalness of the tall Human in front of him, and glances around at the underbrush, seeing the strange features of the Wood Elf.
Rapidly, he takes something out of his belt, pointing it at Doe'Tana and quickly shouts a command at the other Human behind him. Turning her head, she does the exact same thing.
Combat map will be out shortly. For now - Oran, Doe'Tana, roll Initiative! First combat of the game!
The man speaking to Ciradyl seems rather content with his deduction, fully assuming the woman before him is insane. Beckoning with his hand, he says; "Alrighty, there; come with me - I'll take you to someone. Any friends you have can come, too." He surmises that any 'otherworldly' friends of hers were figments of her imagination.
Oran quickly pulls out his clairvoyance coin and tries to inspect it (Arcana: 6) while Doe'Tana talks with the strangely clothed humans, but the next he notices, the strange man pulls out the small object that looks strangely similar to the wooden pole in the shop. Noticing the man looking warily at him, Oran will draw forward, pull his hood off of his face, and calmly say to the man, "Hold on now, what did we do?" before the mental picture of him crashing through a window on the back of a bear comes to his view and he realizes what would cause these people to be so hostile towards them. Despite the calm façade, Oran is screaming internally, and he pulls out his daggers from his belt, ready to defend himself.
Initiative: 8
(How far away is Oran from Doe'Tana and the officers?)
Baragon looks over at Arnold again with uncertainty. She has been handling the situation well, but were they ready to show themselves? It's clear that the man's offer to allow them onto his horseless chariot wasn't sincere. If that's the case, should they show themselves? He shakes his head. Best to wait for Ciradyl to make the decision as she has been taking the lead so far.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Doe'Tana is quite confused by the apparently aggressive response of the humans, and keeps his hands at his sides, palms facing outwards to show they are empty as a sign of peacefulness and compliance.
It would appear that a conveyance to another location may be out of the question. If it comes to it I may be able to use my tricks to restrict their movement, and then we can make a get away. I would prefer not to kill people unless we are truly forced to.

ciradyl starts to back up toward the woods where baragon and Arnold are and says. "well he says hes going to take us somewhere, but I'm still not sure if he can be trusted. come on out and let's see if this one feints to."
Baragon nods to Arnold and stands up from his hiding place, walking out with his hands splayed out in what he hopes appears to be a gesture of non-aggression. "Hail, human, we mean you no harm. I am called Baragon Starfeller of the Starfeller pride. I carry the name of Iroas with me, god of victory."
Hmm...They are too far apart for my plan to work. We need to get them closer to eachother. Within 20'...closer the better. Maybe try to hide, see if they will bunch up? Try not to escalate the situation. I feel like our problems will only get worse if we become wanted murders.
"Listen, I am getting a sense of hostility from you that just isn't called for. If you don't want to help in our journey that is fine. We can go our own way."
Doe'Tana steps to the left a few feet to get a tree between him and the male human in an attempt to hide.

Agent 2 (Let's call him Mully) will observe the rather large figure attempt to hide behind a tree, interested as to why the humanoid would think they could avoid being found afterwards. Moving fifteen feet to the left, he falls to one knee, seems to point a miniature replica of the large stick the shopkeep carried, and creates an extremely audible sound that can mostly resemble a thunderclap.

With that, Doe'Tana, after briefly being stunned by the loud sound emanating from the figure, a pang goes through the air, and a piece of wood from the tree next to you comes flying off at a large speed.
Oran, you're up.
The man whom Ciradyl is speaking to does a double take at the Leonin and the Warforged that emerged from the underbrush. With an ajar mouth, he looks between the three figures for a moment, before placing a hand behind his head. "Well, I'll be damned." He motions for you three figures to come, seemingly at loss of words. As he slowly walks back to his car, you can make out along the lines of "I'm crazy," and "Is this a game?"
Oran, unsure of what to do, places his daggers back into his belt, as the sound of thunder pierces the air. Confused, he just stands still, but prepares to dodge any incoming attacks.
Ciradylmotions to her companions. "well he didn't faint so that's a good thing right?"
She starts to follow the man still a bit cautious but thankful. "Um, excuse me sir, but where will you be taking us? I'm very thankful for your willingness to help us, but I am curious."
