(Nat 20 is a crit on Baragon from Agent 2, Plum. I'll roll the rest of the damage for you here, 1d10 right? Pray for low 2)
Baragon grunts in a bestial voice as the tiny object rips through the flesh on his right leg. He had expected fire, lightning or perhaps even a blast of air. What was it? He did not see anything exit the metal stick but the pain is real enough. He can feel something embedded close to bone but now was not the time to worry about such things... He grips his two-handed war hammer and swings hard at the right shoulder of the woman frozen in her steps, intending to break bones but not kill (non-lethal attack).
After refreshing himself and regaining 4 hit points, Oran opens up the smaller map, finding it odd how he doesn't see any of the locations which were on the previous map. "Well," he says to Doe'Tana, "I think I'm pretty sure that this map is the one of where we are, so we can discard the other map. There's an area of wilderness to the east of us that stretches far along, so I'd say the further we go in, the safer we would be."(OOC: What's the scale of the map?)Oran checks the sky to see which way the sun is to get his bearings of direction (Survival: 8). "Shall we head out then?"
Seeing that Baragon and Arnold can hold their own at the moment she goes to Wallace. "Can you get up? We need to get out of here! Maybe we can take Car and get out here quickly? Come on." She does her best to help Wallace up and to get him to the car and put him in the same seat he was in before. (puts them at I29 i think, behind the car)
Unfortunately for you, Baragon, Arnold manages to just outpace your step and bring his axe down hard into the Human's chest. She falls back, heavily bleeding, and unmoving.
(Feel free to make an attack on another target.)
One of the other two Humans, seeing the rampaging robot, will immediately turn tail and flee, attempting to make it inside the 'car. The other one will stagger back before taking a shot at Arnold!
To hit: 9
The Warforged feels a slight clink against his natural armor, but otherwise, nothing feels to be injured.
Ciradyl, you use your action to prop Wallace in the seat you saw him driving in before. Unfortunately, he is still hazy from the ordeal he has went through - make a Medicine check to see if you can get him to a functional state.
(Did AoT trigger? Baragon should have been in a square next to one of them. I did say E39.)
("Stagger Back" was a figurative expression for surprise. The one you weren't within 5 feet of (the one formerly at C39) is the one that is fleeing. Apologies for the misconception.)
(Can Baragon catch up to the one who ran and attack him? I suppose it would depend on where they're parked but assuming they're on the driveway which looks to be on the East side, he should be able to...)
Baragon shakes his head as the woman crumples, his mane almost bristling. He runs towards the human working on the horseless chariot and targets his legs...
Attack - 16
The as the head of the warhammer arcs towards his knees, Baragon grunts and focuses his will. White flames burst to life on the steel head, leaving a trail of light like a tiny shooting star as it strikes. (Non-lethal because he's targeting limbs. Oh, and SMITE! Only if it hits since he can choose.)
(Also a quick reminder for Arnold, I think you rolled 2d12s on your last damaging attack. It should only be 1d12 since it wasn't a critical hit. A critical hit is a 20 on the d20 rolled for the attack, without any modifier.)
(Not that it makes much of a difference since it would be 14 total damage instead of 15. Still, something to keep in mind for next time.)
Baragon, you bound over to where the Agent is. A rustling of metal from what looks like keys permeate the air as you take a swipe with your mace. You hear a loud crack as the entire leg bends backwards and snaps - The man falls to the ground, letting out a cry, before looking up at the Leonin above him. (He is functionally unconscious.) Arnold, you cast your metallic eyes over the Human before you. Given the situation and staring at the body next to him, he will take the Disengage action and will jump backwards. Seeing Baragon at the car, he will turn tail and begin running down a checkered path of square stones that lies next to the black pathway. Ciradyl, your investigations unfortunately do not provide Wallace the service needed to regain full consciousness. He seems hazy, and any words he makes out are incoherent.
Unless you would like to chase after the man, now around 30 feet away, combat has ended. I'll be more flexible with turn orders from now on.
(Not quite sure where Bounces has been. DM controlling for now - please drop a post here or in the PM if you're going to be away!)
Oran, with that Survival check, you feel reasonably confident you can make your way back to the road you are next to wherever you decide to go, but you aren't quite able to discern much of the surrounding woods. (In terms of scales of the map, it's about the size of a county, and most settlements are small - let's say it's about 60, 70 miles from left to right.)
Arnold sheaths his greataxe (via straps behind his back), and then looks at the one person he hit. Unfortunately, he has no medical knowledge (not proficient in medicine), so there's not much he could do. And unlike Baragon, Arnold does not have a blunt weapon; only Axes and some Javelins. If he aimed at the poor running human's legs, the human would lose them, or the legs would be impaled, and neither seem like a good option to consider.
Baragon exhales a long breath and looks down at the human on the ground, still in pain from the broken leg. He then looks at the one fleeing. "There is no honor in running down an enemy who has been routed. You, on the ground, stay where you are if you value your life." He goes inside to find Ciradyl and Wallace, giving Arnold a look with mixed emotions as he passes him. He has a slight limp from the wound on his leg.
"Ciradyl. The humans wearing black have been routed. One is dead, one had his leg shattered and the last ran. How is Wallace?"
Battle map!
(I thought I didnt have to do a wild magic because it's a can trip. just level 1 or higher right)
