The party concludes and Harrigan gathers you all together. Cut-Throat Grok distributes the loot to the crew. The officers receive the largest shares, as is the custom. Then the crew receives its' share. The five of you are each given 190 credits for your work in taking the aft. Harrigan then orders the prisoners to be brought before him. He addresses them, offering a place on the Wormwood’s crew for any who want to throw their lot in with pirates. Several of the prisoners step forward; Master Scourge cuts their bonds, and the prisoners take their places among the Wormwood’s crew. Harrigan then turns to address the crew.

"You’ve done a right good job by me—we’ve got a second ship now, and she’s quite a prize from the looks of her. But I still have only one crew. So here’s the plan—the Wormwood will fly on to our planned destination with our new shipmates here, while Mr. Plugg will pick a skeleton crew to fly the Man’s Promise to Port Peril, where she’ll be worth a pretty penny as salvage. As for these fine fellows here”—Harrigan gestures at the remainder of the captured ship’s crew—“some of them will no doubt be worth a hefty ransom from their families back in Verces." 

Mr. Plugg and Master Scourge pick out several of the Wormwood’s original crew, telling them to be aboard the Man’s Promise within 10 minutes to set sail for Port Peril. You are chosen to join the skeleton crew as well, and Scourge smiles evilly at you as he picks you. He also chooses two of the newly freed prisoners to join his crew and they look obviously grateful to no longer be on the Wormwood. 

"Now's our chance tator tots" Thrash would whisper to his companions. "We can make our own way... We need to make sure that ship never makes it to port peril..." He would add as he adjusts his hat over his orange frill. 

"Plugg and Scourge seem to have much trust in us, it seems." Ashley remarks, looking around.

Dani hands Thrash back his pistol. "It's better now," she tells him before glancing at Ashley. "Or they want to isolate us from any allies we've created."

The first step to defeating someone is getting rid of their support. Make sure that once you cut their legs out from under them, nobody is there to hold them up.

Ashley's face wrinkled in thought, wondering what allies they had. She didn't even know who SHE was, really..

Toni leans in, "It depends on who else is on the skeleton crew. Thrash and I have been working hard on making friends on this ship, but if all our enemies are put on a ship with us...what do you think we could do? Crap, I feel like if I were a little bit quicker with thoughts and ideas, I'd have a better idea of what to do. I'll follow along whatever plan y'all think is best. Don't mind me."

"There's no way we can take 'em all if that happens... Maybe we can try to make friends with the new guys?" Gin suggests quietly.

"Thank ya Dani! It looks great!" Thrash would say ad he takes the weapon and quickly looks it over before putting it in his holster. "You know, you can hold on to it a bit longer if ya like. it packs quite a wallop and I ain't much of a shot" The lizardfolk would say with a tootht smile. "Now once were onboard that ship, we need to make one last attempt to lure members of the crew to our side.. then once we put some distance between us and the wormwood... We slaughter plugg and anyone not loyal to us."

"Thank you, but I am better with my glove weapons," Dani tells Thrash before shifting a little uncomfortably at the lizardfolk's description of what they should do.

On the Man's Promise, you're all gathered on the main deck in front of Plugg and Scourge, who is now serving as an unofficial first mate. "This might be a new ship with a smaller crew, but you will still be expected to work just as hard. Now things here will not be as lackadaisical as they were on the Wormwood. There will be no drinking and none of the fooling around that went on in the mess hall after dinner. When night falls, you eat dinner, and return to your quarters. Anyone caught outside of their quarters during night hours will receive six lashes. Do I make myself clear?"

Dani listens to the speech with her usual neutral expression, nodding along.

After they are released, she glances at Ashley. "Whatever you use to focus your magic," she says quietly. "Can I borrow it for the night? I think I can make it better."

(OOC: Dani's gonna make Ashley's focus a +1 if the wizard will let her have it for the duration of a LR)

"Sure mate" Thrash replies with a tip of his hat to plugg and scourge. "Either tonight or tomorrow night we need to make our move. wait till their asleep and put and end to em" The lizard folk would whisper. 

Plugg looks at you as you whisper, wondering what you're talking about.

Ashley smiles at Plugg awkwardly.

"Just tellin the mates that I guess I won't get the chance to win anymore coin fighting with old hatchbuster anymore" The lizardfolk would say with a grin.

Plugg looks at you, obviously not believing you, but he dismisses you all to go do your jobs anyway. Everything goes as normal, except when Gin goes to the kitchen, she finds that Fishguts is not drunk today. 

Gin audibly gasps at the discovery of a SOBER Fishguts. "Wooooah... I swear ever since I've been here you've been plastered. What's the special occasion, Fishguts?"

Fishguts chuckles at seeing your reaction and gives a bit of a shrug. "Finally got off the Wormwood and managed to do it without getting killed. Sure, Plugg probably wouldn't shed too many tears if someone decided to put a knife in my guts, but still, I got off that hellhole of a ship."

"If it's any consolation, I would shed a tear or two for you! Maybe even write a song about it~" The lashunta laughs. After a minute though, she gets a little serious. "Hey. You ever think about, like, mutiny or whatever? Would you ever join in on it? This is all theoretical, of course, but... Just thought I'd ask, you know?"
