Skulls and Starships

Dani sticks her head out of the hold where she's been spending pretty much all of her time. "This might be a silly question, but are we actually helping them? I'm a little new to this pirate thing, I'm not sure where the line between lootable and to be helped is."

"What's the name of our ship again?" Ashley asked, almost about to order someone to open a channel with comms to the other ship.

Gin leans into Ashley and whispers, “The Reclaimer.”

"Well first I was figuring we would see what their problem is... Maybe they are already dead in the water.. maybe that rock their towing is worth a big chunk of creds but their ship ain't strong enough to tow it alone. If they'll allow us on their ship we can send over a little boarding party and surprise them but if that rock is worth a lot a big payday... I might be willing to help em haul it if we get a decent cut." Thrash would replay with a nod to Gin.

Ashley would open a channel. "Vessel Acreon, this is Ashley - First Mate of the Reclaimer." she shuddered at the name, like she got a chill. "Can we provide any assistance?"

When Ashley finishes her message, the only thing that you get as a response is an eerie silence.

Toni shrugs, “Maybe their thing is is broken? Also, I don’t think I’m following, are we helping or stealing?”

"I think we're stealin." Thrash says with a grin. "Let's pull up close and dock with 'em if we can." The lizardfolk would say as he quickly inspects himself to make sure all of his gear is equpped. "Gather your things. Maybe if we're lucky the crew all died from food poisoning or somethin and the ship is ours for the takin." Thrash would then turn and look to Ashley, tell the crew to man the guns and keep an eye out in case it's a trap. We'll check it out and call ya on the comms for back up if we need it. As far as they know.. if anyone is alive over there we are just here to help... ain't no need to rush in guns blazin." Thrash would say with a wide grin. "Once the crew is in position to cover our tails, Ashley, Gin, Toni, and Dani.. come with me. We're gunna see if we can flip this ship quick." 

"Weapons, keep a lock on that ship in case there's any problems." Ashley commanded to the bridge crew. 

Dani comes up in her Guardian armor, the helmet hissing down after she nods at Thrash.

Toni straps in some fingerless combat gloves and sunglasses to accompany her freebooter armor, with her magma blade strapped to her side. “Ready”

You are all able to connect with the Acreon and enter the ship near the airlock. You enter into a ship that is almost totally dark, save for the red emergency lights that provide some dim illumination to the ship. Fortunately, the air on the ship is breathable, so you know that the life support on the ship is working at least.

"Hello..... anyone home?" Thrash says as he looks around the empty corridor. "I think we need to see what happened to the crew." He adds as he draws his spear and leads the way towards the living quarters.

"Oooh, spoopy..." Gin says, her tone full of amazement, like a child. "Think this place is haunted? Oooh, I hope it's haunted!"

"Spoopy..?" Ashley turned and asked, clearly confused.

"If we can't find the crew... we need ta disable the sos... we dont want anyone stumbling on what we're doin here" Thrash says with a glance towards dani

“It’s a Lashunta word. It’s a word for that feeling when something is both scary and enjoyable.” Toni follows the captain to the living quarters.

Dani tosses Thrash a casual salute from within her armor.

As you all pass through the living quarters, you don't find any of the crew, nor do you find anything of value, save for a credstick with 500 credits. Everyone make a Perception check.
