Quin does not find any doors in this room, although he does note paint on the rear wall that appears to have been part of a mural. There are some dim figures visible in the paint. As Lorgar starts searching the rat's nest, he finds 5 gp, 25 sp and 97 cp. In addition, he finds two small, poorly cut gems, a partially rusted dagger, and a necklace with shells, green beads, and white beads.
"Well, not very promising. Vothrolo, does anything of this seem interesting to you? Can you perhaps decipher from which period the coins have been made?"
Vothrolo looks at the necklace and says "This looks like the type of bauble you might find in the local farmer's market. I doubt it is very old, or worth much money."
Quiller doesn't hear anything at the door, nor does he detect any traps. The door is not locked. When it is opened, the floor is covered with a thick layer of dirt, but, is empty other than that.
On the back wall, a mural is visible, but, it is covered with a coating of dirt. There are several figures visible in the mural, but, the dirt makes it difficult to tell much more than that.
(Could we get a map of the building? Even something rough would help, mostly trying to work out where the rooms we've traveled are in relation to outside walls and such.)
Vothrolo pulls out a couple rags out of her bag and joins the party in cleaning the mural off. It takes about an hour to clean the mural off enough. The top of the mural appears to depict a number of people standing on a stage, wearing a variety of outfits, with one person wearing antlers and hooves, while another is clearly dressed as a dog. The bottom of the mural depicts people standing in various stages of undress. A small room is pictured in the middle of the bottom part of the mural, with lines leading upward from the top of the room.
After the mural is cleaned up, Vothrolo steps back and looks at it. "This, this is wonderful. We don't have any images of people going about their daily activities. Most of the images we have of the Kwalmendi are clearly posed images of royalty, including a number of sculptures. I may need to come back here and sketch this mural. This is simply wonderful!"
Then turning to the rest of the group "So what do you think of this mural? What is going on in these images?"
Quiller notices quite a few animal tracks on the floor, including a number that appear to be from large rodents. The dirt on the floor is about an inch thick.
Before he joins the others cleaning the wall, Quiller will spend a bit of time stamping on the dirt covered floor trying to see if he can hear any 'hollowness'. Perception 6
Also, as soon as he notices the small room with the lines leading upward, he will investigate the ceiling. (OCC how high is the ceiling in this chamber?)
Investigation 19
OCC I don't know if you want me to be rolling all these checks but . . .
"fair call."
Davril nods, "Lead on."

Vothrolo looks over the coins and says "They are from the Kardagen Empire, none of them older than about 150 years old. They are yours."
"And that necklace? Of the same time period, or something cobbled together by more recent occupants, would you say?"
"what purpose would coin and gem serve for nesting? they don't hold warmth well."
(still here)
" Its a shiny thing. They're attracted to it. I think we're done in here. Next room?" Says Quin.
(OCC: Was it three doors in this hall or four?)

Davril collects the coins, keeping them separate to distribute later on, and follows along.
Lukas brings up the middle.

Quiller will move to the next (last) door and carefully listen; he is not about to be surprised like the last time. Perception 16
If he does not hear anything, he'll check the door for traps and, if there are none, he'll check for traps. Sleigh-of-hand 24
OCC Ack That should be check for traps . . . if none unlock if locked. Such a pretty roll I don't want to spoil it by editing

"Vothrolo, come take a look at the mural. Perhaps it holds a clue we've been missing."

Quiller will check the floor for any tracks or markings that stand out.
Investigation 16
He will also check to see the depth of the dirt covering the floor.

Let me see if this works. I've had poor luck in trying to paste images into posts.
