Cico looks at the unmoving door for a moment, then turns to look at the other concealed doorways he'd seen earlier.
"The opening mechanism might be in one of the other hidden rooms," he says as he goes to the next one along the wall, opening it and looking inside, careful to stay in this room when he does so.
Though lyss wasn’t able to see any locking mechanism through the crack, she also wasn’t able to see much else other than a scrambling knife. The door seems pretty tough if someone was to try to break it down. (In answer, you don’t know unless you try)
Cico discovers a 10x10ft room with grates in the ceiling, presumably the cause of the draft. The back wall has familiar blue writing scrawled across it reading “Can Do” In the centre of the room sits a crossbow directly facing Cico, a silver arrow loaded, it’s sharp point glinting menacingly at the monk.
Cico looks into the 'crossbow' room for a moment, his eyes resting on what he assumes is a trap that didn't go off, then on the words on the wall behind.
"Can do," he says aloud. "Has anyone kept track of all these words? They may be related to each room only, or may need to be read all together. A puzzle?"
Rather than stepping into the 'crossbow' room, Cico turns to the last of the three concealed doors to open it and see what's inside in case that as a more obvious way to release the sealed room.
Lyss feels her dagger scrape along a latch, but is just unable to catch it.
The other room seems like some kind of study. A comfortable looking couch sits before a lit fireplace. A side table sits beside it with a bowl of nine goodberries and a plain wooden box. Barely detectable around the table are runes which Cico immediately notices with his keen eye.
Cico looks at the goodberries sitting in the bowl.
"Well, that looks more like a trap than the other one with the crossbow," Cico says.
He heads back to the room with the crossbow, enters, sidestepping as he does to stay out of the direct line of fire, and goes to the pedestal and takes a closer look at the crossbow and any signs of something that would set it off.
The mage removes his small knife from the crack in the wall, unable to see what is happening on the other side. Without knowing who is still on the other side of the door, Edvord summons his courage before casting message again at Cico since he was the last one Edvord saw in the doorway. Edvord speaks softly as possible and limits his words "Door, latching mechanism, thieves' tools."
After casting the spell, and unbeknownst to anyone else, the mage goes to the center of the room, quietly sits down, and attempts to make his body as still and as silent as possible.
Aimee watches as Cico leaves before moving in and poking the couch with her finger and yawning. She'll squint at the fire and try to feel if its shedding any heat before meandering over to the bowl with good berries and investigate them and the box.

"Berries are too obvious! Probably so it the box, gotta be that couch!"
As Cico looks over the crossbow he hears Edvords voice in his head. Though he can't quite see what would set off the trap, he can see that the drawstring is clearly snapped. The silver bolt lies loaded in the groove.
Aimee - The fire is very warm, and very comforting. The writing on the west wall reads "WHAT MIGHT AND". Inspecting the objects on the table, you notice the same runes as Cico did. As you lift up the box to look underneath you hear a bang and a crash - success? You didn't expect it to make such a racket though.
Aldrik's shoulder smashes the door in, the latch tearing out of the stone around it leaving debris all over the floor. Inside you find Edvord cross legged in meditation in the middle of this smooth stone room.
It feels like something soft is moving around in the box, but it sounds like there’s a bit of a drama starting to happen over in the other room. Your beefy friend Aldrik seems to have knocked the door in and is being set upon by his own brother.

Lyss will try jamming the point of her dagger in, perhaps leverage in the right place...

Encouraged by the feel of a latch, Lyss would try again if/when she is able.

As the door crumples down, Edvord leaps to his feet, draws his rapier, and charges Aldrik.
The man's eyes are bloodshot red. The rapier surprising lashes out towards his brother. Edvord screams, "A SOFT TOUCH!"
