Cico looks from the runes to the wisp to Lyss at the door.
"What's the extent of the circle?" Cico asks. "The runes around the table or this entire room? What if it gets free by swapping one soul for another Lyss?"
"Around the table. Keilier likes to show off, layering one spell over another over another. Then he finds the most ridiculous way to make you a part of his schemes. Are you coming?
The Wisp darts out of the door, leading you back down the corridor you entered towards the stairs.
The wisp leads you all back over the stairs, past the elegant rug which you step around the sides of. At the crossroads of the alley you see the long dead end hallway with the barred windows at it’s end. You pass the Ivory door and the mural before coming to the relief of a skeleton. Pull the third rib down on the right the wisp whispers.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cico approaches the skeleton (this is the one they looked at before, yes?) cautiously and examines it carefully for traps, paying particular attention to any triggers around the third rib.
As Cico searches the skeleton, he notices the third rib down is actually some sort of lever. There don’t seem to be any traps on the skeleton though,
”Perhaps you just don’t like undead stuff, that’s why you noticed it? There are many schools of magic being utilised in this alley, rooms that have no place being where they are. So many young magic users focus in on a few skeletons, and miss the nuance of the high art of spellcasting.”
With the others taking off, Lyss sidles skipping up to Kerri.
"All I was gonna do was let it go through the door, then slam it and lock it behind it... but maybe that wouldn't have been good either. It might have gone and told on us."

Cico pulls the rib, and the secret door you identified earlier swings open revealing a lavish mahogany set of stairs. The wisp flies up, passing through an oak door at the top with a rusty sign stating RECEPTION. The wisps voice echoes down the stairs, "Come on, we're nearly there. He hasn't had visitors in a while, this will blow his mind."
As this happens, Edvord finishes casting his ritual.
Aldrik stays close to his brother as the ritual finishes. He whispers. "Edvord, if that suspicious ball of magical light gets squirrelly again, let me finish it off. I think Zauberjager wasn't lying. I felt something when I struck that blow... You'll have to take a look at the blade when you get a chance."
"I am once again going to point out," Kerri says. "That I currently have no way of healing you when you enevitably go down because of your inability to not run into a room completely blind."
"If this path doesn't lead anywhere, we need to rest... I do not for a second believe the wisp's warnings of the clock striking midnight... For all we know midnight has already come and past, we have been lost in here for awhile."
The mage then takes a position near the front of the group and will alert the lead scout whether he detects any sources of magic. Verklarung follows at Edvord's feet. The man looks down and remarks to the rat, "If this passage way starts to get too hairy we may need to send you in first friend."

Cico looks at the others before coming up to Lyss at the doorway. He taps the door frame three times then bobs his head at Lyss.
"It's unlikely you will live to adulthood," Cico says then turns to the others. "If there's a sliver of truth in what the wisp says we should follow."
He taps the door frame three more times and then follows after the Wisp.

Aimee tags along merrily,
"Glowy ball? Why does the wizard like dead stuff so much? He a necromancer?"

"Nah, I think they're fine! Just been a lot of them! Haven't seen a single unicorn! Give it a tug Cico!"
As Cico reaches for the rib lever his mind does raise a doubt. If Aimee is cheering him on, is this a good idea?
He counts the ribs on each side of the skeleton, double tapping the third. Then he pulls the lever.

Would Edvord have had enough time to reset detect magic while everyone else has been following around and talking to the wisp?
As Kerri and Lyss leave the room, Edvord looks up from his spellbook, puts it away, shrugs, and begins to follow behind the two women.

"Wooow! This is probably the most trappy thing we've done in here, and that's saying a lot! We're totally going in, right?"
Aldrik nods, and keeps Zauberjager in a low grip, tip pointed down.
"If we need to escape, then perhaps we go through the person who made this maze of misery."
He looks down the edge of the blade.
"And perhaps we make sure no more meet a foul fate here..."
