(So we’ll get one more round from Kerri, then scarecrow and then you guys can post at will for ‘player round’)
(Also, gave the scarecrow a plus 5 to passive perception to spot Lyss since she’s not specifically hiding from the scarecrow’s direction. She passed so yes to being hidden but no surprise round because you guys diverted your attention towards the cottage. Sound fair? With a more intelligent or perceptive foe they may have spotted you.)
Kerri is the first to spot the shambling sack of hay as it tumbles out of the maze. As it comes towards her and Aimee, oblivious to Lyss hiding by the cottage, a bright light erupts before it. (Dex Save 2) And Kerri’s holy flame engulfs the scarecrow, scorching it slightly.
The scarecrow continues towards the pair mindlessly. As it gets within 30 feet it glares at Kerri, it’s dead eyes as dark as the abyss. (Wis Save please)
With it’s eyes locked onto Kerri, the scarecrow pays absolutely no attention as a crossbow bolt flies through its chest, only breaking eye contact when Aimee’s blast to the face has it reeling back, waving it’s straw arms manically.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The scarecrow stumbles as it recovers from Aimees blast, but just as it rights itself Kerri’s bolt of light pierces through its chest leaving a wide circular hole. The Scarecrow lumbers towards Kerri swinging wildly at her with its straw arms, the tips of straw forming into sharp claws.
Lyss’s arrow strikes the scarecrow, though again, it doesn’t seem to bother it too much. As it towers over Kerri, it is struck by Aimee’s blast, yowling in pain. The scarecrow looks pretty worn down, hay pouring out of it’s chest. The light of a torchflickers on in the cottage window as you battle.
(Yes, you were already hidden from end of last round anyway though, so it was advantage either way, you wont be hidden next round though, that was not a great roll lol.)
Kerri, the smell rotting flesh fills your nostrils. It’s hideous, and would shake the nerves of the bravest warrior, but your faith in yourself and Mystra holds out. (No effect)
It’s top of the round, so Kerri’s turn, she is directly in front of the scarecrow, with Aimee a little way back and to the side (say 15ft?) and The top of Lyss’s head is poking out from behind the cottage a little way behind the scarecrow.
