"Salvador is handy with a blade, and Panvalor here was useful when I got cut up," Marva says to Leomyar. She turns to the bard, "You want to go with us to warn some dwarves of danger, my friend?" As she asks, she also looks around to see if she can find Salvador.

“There’s also Willow and Vanbella we could ask.” Leomyar said in deep thought as he sat on a stool and leaned against the countertop 

"Those are the two folks who brought in that cart of meat, right? Good hunters, I suppose. And they seem happy to have work. Are they around? We could probably use as many folks as will come, if there's danger about," Marva responds. "You should ask them, since they've done work for you before. I can try to round up Panvalor and Salvador." As an afterthought, she says, "Remember, there are different sorts of dragons. If this Cryovain is flying around attacking folks, he might be one of those chromatic dragons. They can be wily and vicious and cruel. I'm not going to assume that he's the villain here, but it certainly seems possible."

“However even dragons who are Metallic can follow Tiamat and that doesn’t mean they’re necessarily evil.” Just that they might be very morally questionable and have some grey area’s like Leomyar did, he followed them in hopes of one day joining the dark side so he could hopefully have his family brought back from the dead and he could find out some answers, at the end of the day that’s all he wanted was his family back, at this point he’s willing to do whatever it takes for this to happen. “But I agree, it gives all dragonborns a bad name so I’ll go and ask willow and vanbella if they’d be interested in joining us.”

Junior- just so you know, it looks like a white dragon. I never got close enough to fact-check...

(DM- I'm considering giving you (all) 1/4 level each just for the comical conversation on how to deal with the dragon.) 😊

Leomyar “We’ve established that the dragon is chromatic” just Leomyar also follows Tiamat which is unusual for a metallic dragon but not unheard of, since dragons seem to have their own alignments and none are alike in personality

Marva is unnerved the disembodied voice that seems to be giving them information about the dragon. "Did the guy who hired you plant some kind of magical speaking stone on you? I thought I heard someone...Anyway, maybe we should just focus on the dwarves for now. Maybe we'll get more information about the dragon as we go along. The main thing I know about dragons is that they can be very dangerous. So I'm happy to do my best to avoid him for now."

She does wonder why Leomyar seems intent on defending this obviously dangerous dragon, but she is having a hard time reading him. She shrugs, thinking, I guess maybe I'll get more information about Leomyar as we go along, too.

"A job, eh? Only to warn a couple of dwarfs? Seems to me, this job if a steal! Ah ah! I'll take your side on this grand "adventure"!" as he smiles and laughs and drinks.

DM (out of character)- Just so you know, I haven't heard of any white dragons being not evil. Their base alignment is chaotic evil, and Cryovain IV seems to be no exception

Leomyar of course cares about the people who are being harmed by this dragon, it affected him as much as anyone if the dragon came and attacked here but he was going to keep his cards close to his chest on what he really wanted to do, if he could find a way to not kill a fellow dragon then he’d take it. Dragons were either feared or loved, the last thing they needed was to turn on their own ancestors, regardless of side their on “I have no idea, but you’re Cryovain needs to be stopped and at the very last resort killed but there is always a way round doing such a thing, killing tends to be the easiest solution to anything, it needn’t be.”

(It would be funny if those were the voices in Leomyar’s head and he pulls a deadpool here, I’m joking of course bc that wouldn’t fit his character but 😂)

"The thing about dragons that roam the countryside looking to terrorize the population, I think in my humble, not scholar but bon vivant opinion, that the dragon is evil. It needs to be stopped. Killed. It's tresure hoard taken for spoils. End. Of. Story. Shall we get going or are we getting more, ugh, philosophical about the subject? Because we could get going and just warn the dwarfs before sun down, mates. Clocks ticking. Tic toc."

A half-drunk Panvalor walks (OOC: he stumbles) into the tavern at the tail end of the others conversation.

"I heard yelling from the other side of the street about a job, something about dwarves and dragons." He said as he made his way to the others and sat down "Whatever it is I'm in. Now, are we planning on robbing and killing the dwarves or the dragon?"

“Let’s agree to disagree for now, the most important part is warning those dwarves so we can get paid, so let’s get to it.” He says in agreement, there’s many reasons why he’d prefer to find another way to deal with this dragon but for now he’d be silent about his feelings “They’re running an excavation in the mountains, we should head there first and warn them.”  

(OOC; O you don’t need to worry about Tiamat he’s not going pursue him in this game, it’s more character motivation on why he wants to save Cryovain, he’ll still work with everyone towards the same goal)

Willow’s attention is drawn in to the conversation. “I’m down for going on a little mission. I’m even pretty much ready to go right now!”

"I am more than ready to proceed. Let us go give word to these dwarves!" says Marva and she heads to the door. (And out on the road, assuming everyone goes and we know where we are going.)

“Then it’s settled the adventure begins, if anyone needs anything from the general store, get it quickly because we won’t be back here for awhile.” Leomyar says authoritatively with a heroic, knowing, soft frown

DM- The DDB Basic rules pretty well describe what's in the store; nothing over 25 gp and no magic items
