You run back to the portal with much exhaustion, everyone's skin is turning lavender, and tiny crystals have sprouted in random locations on your body. You make it out minutes before you turned into Crystalians. Bach into the gloom known as Derivar, the crystals disappear and your skin returns to normal, but all the sudden, Simen vanishes, leaving the pendant flat on the ground.

Gorokum sweeps his sword out of its scabbard and looks for signs of what might have happened to Simen. At the same time he scoops up the pendant for safe keeping.
Mal sighs, shaking his arm a bit after it turns back to normal. "Shame, I kind of liked the purple to be honest. Nice change from the usual charcoal color."
He glances around, seeing the new surroundings. "Guess there's only one way to know for sure where we are." He yawns. "Tavern, anybody?"
”The tavern sounds good, let’s just remember that we don’t want to light it on fire or leave it without a bartender. We have had enough excitement for one day” she says and smiles.

Basina Fairfoot- Halfling paladin Shadow through the forest (Shadow) - Tabaxi Ranger (beastmaster)
You head down to a local tavern called "Bigbuck Donkey's". It has similar walls to the tavern in RobinOak, just with less cracks in the wood. A stone well sits in the middle, filled with so much water, it seems as if it is about to overflow. Tables with eight chairs each are dotted around the tavern, but only a third of them are occupied. At the bar, a drow woman with silver locks of hair is pouring a drink for a patron in front of her. After she slides the drink to that patron, she looks up at you. With a graceful voice, she says "Welcome, how may I serve you?"
"Food and drink from me an my companions would be appreciated," Gorokum says formally. "We have just traveled from RobinOak, but I believe we got turned around on our journey. Can you tell us where we are? And, this may sound strange, how far from RobinOak we are? And, this will sound even stranger but, what day it is?"
The bartender gives a look of suspicion "Sounds like you got back from the Feywild. This is Glitzy Hollow, the safest town in Derivar. I believe RobinOak is far down south, so it will take you about two days to get there by foot. Also, one meal, including drinks, is 2SP each."
"Magic shenanigans, nothing to worry about." Mal'thrae says with a shrug. He puts a gold piece down on the bar. "We'll call it a welcome party for the two of us." He smiles, nodding to himself and Thoradin.
Gorokum looks over at Basina at the mention of Glitzy Hollow.
"Did we not hear something about Glitzy Hollow?" he asks her. "After the paralysis earlier today and fight with the dragon and its minions, I don't trust my memory, but is this the place that may be in danger of an imminent attack?"
The bartender looks in your direction "Glitzy Hollow? Under attack? Please, that's just-" her sentence was cut off by the loud ringing of a bell "That's the warning bell, we're under attack!" She opens up a door behind the counter "Everyone in the basement, quick! Coras, you show them the secret room." She talks to another drow woman who was cleaning a mirror, she nods in affirmation and leads the other patrons into the door.

While you were talking, the last of the patrons have gone into the basement. The bartender closes the door "Good, you're here to help. I'm coming with, because before I had this job, I was an adventurer like yourselves, a wizard to be exact. I stopped because of this Eternal Night, it was too dangerous for me to adventure, so I eventually found myself here, was hired as a bartender, and I was working here ever since. You might need this." She says a quick spell as all of you feel healed of your wounds
(Mass Cure Wounds; everyone regain 14 hit points)
"Oh, my name is Valorie by the way." She says, before walking out
Gorokum takes a deep breath and while the healing spell flows over and around him, he channels and marshals his own internal energies to get ready for the fight ahead. Once he has centered himself again he proceeds to the door and looks outside.
A wizard with high level healing magic? No matter. Thoradin shrugged and followed them out. She could call herself whatever she wanted, as long as she helped with their mission.
Gorokum looks up at the ceiling to see how much time they have left, suspecting it's not much at all.
"We need to get out of here right now," he shouts. "No time for stealth or prudence."
He pushes the door open and starts back to the entrance to the caves.
(It is happening regardless)

(Investigation: 8 )
You see absolutely no signs of where Simen went. Instead, you notice that you are not in RobinOak, but in another town.

Gorokum looks at the others.
"Are we up for another fight this soon after the dragon?" he asks. "Regardless, I would prefer to see what we're up against, rather than hiding."
Mal groans. "I just got comfy, too..."
He loads his crossbow and nods to Gorokum, intending to climb the nearest building with a good vantage point to snipe from.

"Who's attacking?"
"I don't know, but I have a bad feeling about this"
