There is no sound as you make your way to the fence. Even Ruby's creeping is helped and you arrive without issue.

The woman leaves the window, but is back a minute later. "I think it might be hurt. It keeps going on about being hungry." Her voice is low, enough to carry over the sound of the pounding but seemingly not loud enough to draw the creature's attention.

I make sure my crossbows are loaded and cast firebolt

The firebolt strikes the creature in the side. There is a loud roar, then a swoosh as it opens it's wings and flies up. It scans the ground as it turns slowly around.

initiative 7 I fire my crossbows

Ruby draws her longbow and lets an arrow fly. Attack: 21 Damage: 8

 The creature was turning as the arrow struck and you can see that a back leg is bloodied. The arrow grazes the thigh before burying itself into the body.

Another roar, then the creature's tail lowers, the end pointing toward Ruby. One of the spikes loosens and flies toward her. Attack: 16 Damage: 4.  The spike misses her by inches.

using the fence I aim for the back leg and fire

You aim and fire. But right before you do, the creature shifts in the air and the bolt goes wild. 

Ruby fires another arrow. Attack: 13 Damage: 4

 In answer, the creature lets go another tail spike. Attack: 13 Damage: 11.

Each projectile skims past its target. The creature roars and Ruby swears at the misses.

damn  I take another shot Attack: 6 Damage: 8

The shot is closer, enough for the creature to notice and move away from.

 "HUNGRY. YOU'LL DO." 

"Don't think so." Ruby draws back again. Attack: 8 Damage: 8

The creature starts to make a wide turn toward your left, closer to the fence. Another tail spike: Attack: 18 Damage: 7. This time directed at you and not Ruby.

I cast fire bolt then duck behind the fence. Attack: 10 Damage: 15

The bolt goes closer but still misses.

"I wonder if it's too late to find it some food." Ruby lets loose another arrow. 3Attack: 12 Damage: 9

 She curses as the shot goes wide.

The creature shoots without aim, his anger and hunger growing. Attack: 21 Damage: 8

Cast create bonfire between me and the creature.16?

"Well I have a Fire if you got some meat for it"

(Shots the crossbow through the fire trying to get the wooden bolt lit)Attack: 5 Damage: 14

The bolt flies thru the top of the bonfire, catching alight on its way toward the creature. It hits the creature, causing it to roar in pain. The creatures flies straight up before nosediving to put the flames out.

"Great idea!" Ruby loosens another arrow as the creature nears the ground. Attack: 8 Damage: 7

The creature ignores Ruby and swoops toward you, claws out. It's mad and just lashing out. One, two swipes as it flies over you.

Attack: 6 Damage: 9

Attack: 24 Damage: 4

I cast control flames on the bonfire causing it to grow and hopefully burn the creature. Attack: 9 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
