This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
You track the creature as it swings around. With this few seconds' breather, you see that the creature is hurt bad, but it's anger is carrying it forward. Maybe a couple more shots.
You let fly the bolt, but at the last second the creature lunges forward, forcing to roll out of the way and miss the shot. It flies up and roars at you both.
"We almost have it, I think." Ruby fires again. Attack: 7 Damage: 5
The creature ignores the arrow flying past. As it readies another tail spike, something flies toward it and hits it on the head.
"That's what you get!" comes a voice from over your head.
The spike shoots toward the windmill, Attack: 9 Damage: 5 hitting the stone next to the window.
The creature roars, it's attention set on the windmill. The woman looks at the damage, makes a face, and ducks back in.
Ruby tells you that later. For you're concentrating. You take the shot.
The bolt flies true and catches the creature in the throat. It's head goes back, but no sound comes out. It's body struggles in the air, then rolls backward and falls hard to the ground.
"Come inside. I have food and I believe I have a potion. Do I? I should." She goes back inside.
Ruby crawls to the side of the windmill and leans against it. She looks at the dead creature, her longbow in her lap. "Is it me, or does she not seem that distressed by all of this?"
You hear faint sounds from inside the windmill. After a bit the woman comes out with a large bag in one hand and a small bottle in the other. "Reckon he wanted an easy meal. Oh well. Here. Go inside and have some food as well. Do you need more than one potion?"
She shoves the bottle into your hand and walks past you to the carcass. She sets the bag down and pulls a large bottle and two knives, a small and a large.
"My expertise? I have none on dragons, white or otherwise." Adabra starts to cut the hide free.
"Actually, I think we were just supposed to warn her. Do I have the notice?" Ruby searches her pockets and brings out the paper. "He wants you to come back to Phandalin. Where it's safe."
"Oh, I can't do that. Tell Harbin thanks, but no."
"Goodness, no!" Adabra continued to skin the creature. "I've lived out here some 20 years now. First time I've seen one of them. Why am I'm seeing what use I can make of it."
"Use you can make of it?' Ruby looks like she knows the answer to her own question, just needs to hear it said.
"Yup. Why I'm doing this quick. Need to get it inside before the usual ones come along."
She hands the bag to you. "Here, hold this. There's not enough room inside for it like this. Just need a few minutes more for the skin, then we can work on the rest. And I wouldn't be surprised. Only heard stories, mind you. But that seems to be what happens."
Adabra makes quick work of the hide and then starts to hack at the tail, above the spikes. It finally comes off and she takes a arge slice of the meat from it's side. She waves Ruby over from where she's picking up spent arrows. "You. Help us get this over to the cairns."
The three of you carry/drag the carcass to the hill adjacent to the windmill, some 40ft high. The sun is touching the tops of the trees when you are done and you take a minute to catch your breath before heading back.
"You can spend the night, if you want." Adabra puts the bottle and knives into the bag and picks it up.
The bonfire flares up, just catching the creature's tail as it goes by. Followed by another arrow from Ruby. Attack: 11 Damage: 7
An even louder roar, as the creature turns its head and tries to bite you before flying away. Attack: 14 Damage: 5
"go on git" I ready the crossbow to see if he comes back around.
((sorry, didn't mean to say he flew off. he flew by and is circling back. go ahead and roll))
I shoot through the fire again. Attack: 11 Damage: 9

You hear applause from above.
Thank you thank you. I don't suppose you have any medical equipment by chance?

"She does not,"
"I don't mean to be rude but where new around here whats your name and why did the monster want to eat you?"

"Adabra Gwynn. Did you just happen by?"
(how much experience did I get)
I share the potion.
"do you know Harbin Wester?"
((We're doing milestones, when you get back to town))
"Harbin? Haven't seen him for awhile. Why would he be sending you here?"
She takes one of the knives and gives a small slash to the creature's neck, catching some of the blood in the bottle.
"he needs your expertise a white dragon is coming"

SO are wild monster attacks the normal out here?

I help to move it in.

"What would it take to at lest stop by"
