"Nah, with the river flowing our way, should be able to get to a good place to stop for the night. Appreciate it though. Though, not to be a stickler, but there was the question of the other half of our pay. See you found your guy, we can set him up and keep him as comfortable as possible in the cabin."
Clem and his boys pole you all out into the river, guiding you downstream and putting in for the night at an eddy.
When you wake the next morning, a thin film of ice has crusted the river. It seems you've got out of the swamp in time to avoid a wet, freezing slog, and it is an uneventful trip downriver, eventually putting in near the road back to town.
"Alright, let's settle up. You did you're part, so let's do ours. If you're willing, we'll likely be coming back this way in the not too distant future. We'd be honored if you and your sons would consider another run upriver before long."
"Always willing, though with winter coming on, it'll be a might trickier to venture out."
((iirc, by my count, it was 2 days upriver, 3 days waiting, then 1.5 back down. The original fee was 2 gold per head, per day of travel, but Trinjya talked it down a bit, pending competence. You paid the 2 days upriver already, so for the return trip, he'll round that 1.5 x 2 x 6 down a bit, to 10 gold from the 18. For the two days of layover, call that another 5, so 15 gold total. He'll also cover your rations on the way back, with the stew he and his boys cook up, not wanting any of you to catch a chill, and they traded for meat with the swamp folk.))

some gunked up coins that match the description of what Frankie was reportedly in town spending, some gems and precious stones, a small ivory statue of a man with a sword, a silvery ring with blue stones set in it, and an ornate metal comb.
((I don't think we'd tallied the take here, and 'some' may have undersold it a bit, but you'd have had time to appraise the gold coins as the equivalent of ~200 gp by weight, and if anyone wanted to give me an INT check (and/or has relevant tool proficiencies), you can get a value on the gems and stones.))
(Mighty kind of him, though I suppose that will clean out pretty much all of us, and then some. Horatio certainly doesn't have the full starting gold to swing that - would he be willing to A) wait a spell to let us sell off whatever treasure we found among the frogs to help pay for that or B) Take some of the treasure directly to make up the difference?)
(OOC - nice haul guys! 350gp worth of treasure, a magical ring and magical mace. We only have to pay 15gp, and Morn has 11gp, but we should try and split it as much as we can, but I can cover anyone that is short on funds.)
(6 of us, I believe, meaning remaining boat costs will be 6x15, which is 90. That leaves 110 in coin to split 6 ways, without having to dip into any private pockets just yet. Horatio can take the loss of 10 gp, if we like, meaning that everybody gets 20gp (not counting any return from the jewels) and Horatio gets 10.)
((Total, so you've plenty to pay him from what you were able to find out in the swamp. Breaks down to 3 gp/head for the few days waiting and the return trip for the 4 active players plus Sirq, and Frankie's transport is on the house/boat. So 250 - 15 leaves you with 235 gp worth of coin and gem, plus the ivory statuette and comb, if you decide to sell those. And of course the magic ring (Trinjya) and mace (Samael).))
((Between Trinjya's good initial roll, Sirq and Samael working themselves to exhaustion in lieu of payment, defending against the pumpers, and him feeling pretty sorry for Frankie (and possibly being a bit scared/wary of your casual use of magic flame, summoned devils, etc. he's trimmed a fair bit off to keep the business relationship a friendly one. Something in the range of a 20-25% discount off the original stated fee. ))

((Considering Trinjyas proficiency in arcana and her background that probably gave her plenty of opportunities to sell all kind of stuff that found the way into her possesion, can she estimate the value of the ring and mace?))
At least several hundred for the ring, mace is harder to say (as it's unidentified), but should be at least as much. All told maybe as much as a thousand or more?
"Likewise"

Morn is proficient with a jeweller's ket, so he's happy to valuate the gold and gems. (Int + prof for jeweller's tools: 8).
