Kallen slips between Prentiss and Velshir creating distraction for the nearby TwigBlight3 with her torch. Her coin spins through the air towards it, flashing as it catches the sun's light and flips to come down on the creature but misses this time.
@Joshua - wild surge d20 and d100 for the spell attack.
@Prentiss you may post your attack with potential adjustment if Joshua's Wild Surge activates.
Velshir pounces on the twiggy creature, first crushing it under the power of his mace, then stopping upon it with his full energy and smearing the remnants over the ground with some satisfaction. The one also has achieved smithereens-ness, even surpassing its predecessor in the process.
(combat over, nicely done 30 xp each for this encounter. Perhaps start considering what you'd like to do with the next level? Will be awarding soon- this adventure is a little light on xp but other things count too)
The pathway continues on through the overgrowth and shrubbery opening up in the distance beyond a broken and crumbling structure to your left and another on to your right. Nothing stirs from the Cultists home behind you and the day is still bright, moving on into midday. Stomachs grumble slightly in complaint following the battle and those with injuries ache some but more of Thundertree lays ahead and a tower on the hill to your Northwest is said to hold a Dragon in slumber.
While walking, Velshir will quietly say to the group, after looking around to see that there are no unwelcome listeners,
“I don’t like the idea of these lunatics trying to gain favor with the dragon. if their plan works it means the dragon will grow strong in this region. It could become in time a major threat to the whole area. Perhaps we should spy on them when they make contact with the dragon, get more information on the situation.”
Prentiss scowls thoughtfully: "Yes, I agree. I can't help but think that we should try to find a way to neutralise the dragon anyway; knowing how their chat goes could give us some clues"
Kallen thinks for a moment, trying to come out an idea of that dragon situation, even though she doesn't care that much but the dragon will come to haunt them one way or another. "Not gonna lie I just don't like the idea of them gaining a favour with the dragon like Velshir said, maybe we could find a way to trick the dragon one way or another or we secretly take out their boss?" Kallen suggested, waiting for a reply from the other companions.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Alright, so the plan is that we're going to listen in on their conversation then, and try and see if we can turn them against each other somehow? We're definitely gonna need the masks if we do end up fighting the dragon, since green dragons breath poison, which is definitely something we don't want to be breathing in. The leader of the cultists did say that the dragon was young, so if it proves to be too much of a fight we can always go to Waterdeep and leave a notice at one of the taverns that's popular about a dragon nesting in Thundertree, and let them handle the dragon." Brencharis is probably walking in the middle of the party, trying to keep an eye out for any cultists that are following them.
"Tell me what you think of this plan, good or bad. We disguise ourselves as the fanatics, hide nearby, then attack the dragon (from range) during their negotiations, then we flee and hopefully the dragon will attack and break up the fanatics, putting an end to that situation. We can also observe the dragon's fighting capability and get a sense for whether we are a match for it or not."
"I like the idea but..." What if those cultist figure this plan out or the dragon knows that we aren't cultist? "Might be worth a short but I do need some materials to disguise everyone as a cultist, i can cast a spell on myself but not others!" she replied and looking at Prent. "Can you be our leader for our mini dragon cult? knowing you..." Kallen trying to find a nicer way to say this without offending him.
On the east side of town, the lane opens up to form a small square. Several ruined buildings surround the south side of the square, but a larger, intact structure to the north looks like a barracks. One lane leads southeast, another heads southwest around the hill in the middle of the town, and a third way meanders north. In the middle of the square, leaning to one side ever so slightly, is a weathered wooden statue of a warrior clutching a spear and shield.
Your group stands at the X. To the West immediately next to you is what looks like the remains of a weaver's cottage. The Ruined building NorthEast of you is completely devoid of any apparent indication of what it may have been.
The square is presently unoccupied and darkened area only reflects what you would not be able to see from where you are. No activity has been noted from the Cultists cottage so far.
Regarding OOC chat please post anything you may be doing as a result of answers in OOC. I have Brencharis in the middle of the party as you move. Note where you are in the March order of the group as you post. I've added inspiration to Velshir and Prentiss for the recent interaction with the Cultists, all others still had theirs.
Joshua will again call the flame to his hand and direct it towards TB6.
Attack: 11 Damage: 10

"Lets keep going and get some distance between us and those cultists." Joshua slowly heads north along the path.
Velshir will follow close behind

Kallen will approach towards the statue to see what is up with that and give herself a small prayer to give her some knowledge on this statue.
